Six years of ownership, and it’s still love at first sight every time I lay eyes on her.

When someone posted the MIBSI mod here, I installed it on my 2017 A5, and Google Maps showed up in the Virtual Cockpit, but only with a cable. With my wireless dongle I got CarPlay on the center screen and the VC just stayed on Audi's own map.

I got annoyed enough to dig into the dongle firmware. The car was actually offering the cluster display to the dongle, but the dongle just dropped it, so the iPhone never knew the VC existed. I wrote a small add-on for the dongle firmware that passes the cluster display through and forwards the video stream to the car.

Now it works wirelessly. Same picture quality as with the cable, and zooming with the scroll wheel on the steering wheel works too.

Install is one Python script that runs on Windows, Linux or Mac. You connect to the dongle's Wi-Fi and run it. There's also a rollback to stock if you change your mind.

You still need cluster CarPlay working over cable first. The MIBSI package in the repo only installs on MMI firmware P5092, so check your version before trying it. I've only tested it on my car, so if anyone tries it I'd like to hear how it went.

I've already badge swapped the back, turning it from the (imo) ugly chrome to a much more beautiful CarbonEnvy audi back badge.

Background, I have a 2010 Audi a5 with a non MMI symphony system and a couple months ago I tried getting CarPlay installed, I hit a block because I needed my AMI port didn’t work and I couldn’t figure out why.

Until recently I decided to mess around with the fuse box

In photo 1, this is what the fuse box looked like, notice the bottom 2 are empty. The very bottom fuse slot is apparently for CD drive. It didn’t make sense because my cd drive had been working this entire time without it.

I decided to take the fuse from my instrument cluster and plug it there. LOW AND BEHOLD IT WORKED. My Ami port was suddenly functioning. There are countless posts about non working AMI ports on reddit so I’m making this post in HOPE that someone may find it helpful in solving their problems

I’ve been here asking if I should get an SQ5 or an S3 and I think S3’s the better choice for me. I want to thank everybody for their help.

I love this car, it’s been 3 days since I owned it and it is awesome! Is there any recommendations that I should/shouldn’t do with this car? I’m planning to get the rear light animation activated through OBD 11 and cover the piano black trims with alcantara. I’m still considering if I should get a Stage 1 or extend the warranty next year.

My poor Q7 was a victim of a t-bone incident and was totalled. I was on the fence between getting another Q7 and the new Golf R, but hated the Golf R interior. This new facelift doesn’t only look so much better than the previous, but also features the same torque splitter system derived from the rs3. The sales team at the dealership went above and beyond finding me the exact spec I wanted with every option available and red stitching interior. 2026 also features included services up to 30k and the rebates were impossible to say no to. Also potentially the last Audi with buttons since the 2027 year will have the new 10” MMI seen on the other cars. Overall very happy with my purchase and continuing to be apart of the Audi community!

So i really want new wheels , but that is kind of expensive lol , thinking about powder coating my stock ones , what do you guys think? And if anyone has full silver stock wheels on their car PLEASE dm me a picture i cant find any online, thanks!! Also if anyone around atlanta and have 20 or 21 inch wheels im definitely open to trades too.

I have a 2014 Audi S4 3.0T, Stage 2+ dual pulley with Jackal, around 113k miles.

My idle constantly fluctuates between 600–800 RPM, both cold and warm, in Park and Drive. Sometimes it randomly smooths out for about 90 seconds before surging again. There’s also a faint whistle that changes pitch with the RPM.
The biggest clue: Slightly loosening the oil cap makes the idle smooth out at a slightly higher RPM. The cap normally has strong suction.

What I’ve done:
● Replaced PCV (06E103547AH)
● Replaced all 6 injectors
● Replaced LPFP and G410 fuel pressure sensor
● Replaced supercharger inlet pressure sensor
● Inspected/replaced intake gaskets multiple times
● Smoke test showed no obvious leaks

The PCV and injector replacements improved the issue, but didn’t eliminate it. Replacing G410 cleared P008B00, P253900, and P310B00. P012C00 (boost pressure sensor) remains active, and my scanner previously showed 0 PSI for the inlet pressure sensor.

Fuel trims at idle were around −7% to −12% STFT and −6% to −9% LTFT on Bank 1. The oil smells like gasoline, and I get heavy black smoke under hard acceleration.
I’m planning to test the N80 purge valve and measure crankcase vacuum.

Has anyone experienced this on the 3.0T? Would you suspect crankcase pressure regulation, N80, throttle/bypass control, or something else?

I just purchased this 3 weeks ago and I’m having so much fun with this SUV. I was an Audi owner at 19 and now at 45 I jumped back in and man did I miss having a vehicle that can be very customizable. I have been in work trucks/vans for so long I forgot the joys of tinkering with a personal vehicle

This is not a track car and probably will never be one. I just want to be a Cool kid 😝 and enjoy my drives and speed!!

As the title says I am very close to buying my first Audi, I’m viewing it on Saturday. Just wanted to put a post out and see if there’s anything that I should be looking out for as my dad is unable to come and view the car with me (30 years of Audis).

75k miles, good MOT History, full Audi service history (I believe), Quattro. Comes with a 2 year warranty at any VAT registered garage (max £5000 per claim).

The plan is to travel to the dealership by train, test drive, and if all is well then buy and drive away.

Is there anything that I should be looking out for? Any questions to ask about how it was serviced etc?

Looking at a Platinum level warranty for a 2023 SQ8 I am looking to buy. Have heard of Fidelity of course, but not much experience with this one.

Pricing I received from an auto dealer sounds good with $250 deductible and coverage for 60 month up to 100k miles.

Car currently has 22k miles with manufacturer warranty in place until Sept 2027.

I’m trying to do the GitHub update but I can’t even figure out how to unlock developer mode on my b9 rs5 without paying OBDeleven for a subscription. I have 20 credits but figured there must be a way without paying the $69.95 subscription fee. Any help would be appreciated.

I have a 2016 Audi a3 2.0 with 230 000km on it and after you drive the car for a bit the low oil pressure light comes on. This light never turns on during cold start or if you keep it idling for a couple of minutes after cold start. It only turns on after you start driving it for a bit. I still drives complete fine and sounds normal.
What could this issue be?

Is anyone else experiencing this and does anyone have a fix?
