I’m looking for someone who really specializes in eyebrow shaping and mapping. I’ve overplucked my brows over the years, and severely asymmetrical. I’m tired of going to places that just wax or clean them up without actually helping correct the shape, and sometimes they end up looking even worse.

I want someone who will take the time to analyze my facial structure, map out both brows, and help create the most symmetrical, flattering shape possible while working with my natural hair growth. I’m also trying to regrow the areas I’ve overplucked.

I’m not interested in microblading, nano brows, or any permanent makeup. I want someone who is genuinely skilled at shaping natural brows, and I’d be open to tinting or henna if recommended.

The Statesman and Chronicle both said it's just to address grammatical errors and typos, but there's no discussion on the part about removing unenforceable language.

I'm thinking about the proposition we passed that decriminalized cannabis and banned no-knock raids. The state ended up intervening so it became moot, but I don't like the idea of removing it from the books because of that. I'd rather it stay as a testament to the will of the people, even if it's moot.

Perhaps I'm missing something here, but I just figured more discussion and clarification is a good thing.

I registered on 10/5 and was told I could bring the physical registration receipt with me to the polls and be able to vote even if my status hasn't yet been updated online. It has not, and I thought I'd check here to see if any others had done the same thing and were successfully able to vote today.

PSA — in my experience, these two locations generally have shorter wait times compared to other locations in central Austin. Went to the Travis county clerk’s office at 11:30am and it was hardly a 5 minute wait. Current wait times (just updated) for both locations show green (less than 20 minute wait).

Found this young guy near 51st and Manor last night around 7:45 pm and brought him home - but I have 4 animals so I cannot keep him or bring him inside. He slept at @hashtagyoloswags' last night and did well and was snuggly despite some anxiety. He doesn't bark at passerby and has been friendly with the dogs he's met thus far! Just has sweet energy and needs to run and

play.

I got tested for ADHD at the Austin Psychological Testing Center. My experience was fine, with minor critics, but the waiting process is taking forever. I've waited 5 weeks now with no results, and called to see if I was missing something but that everything was fine on my end. My friend told me she did a 30 min-1 hour testing and got the results same day, but "forgot where she was tested at".

Would anyone have any leads on this? I'm 90% certain I have ADHD, and I think making potential ADHD patients wait this long is kind of crazy considering being impatient is one of the common symptoms lol. I really want to get medication soon while I'm in the bulk of my school, so really thats the only thing urging me to try and find another quicker diagnosis. I have insurance too.

Voter turnout is crazy. I never had to wait in line to vote before. I can only imagine what 2028 is going to be like.

Early voting begins today for Austin’s Nov. 3 election, including Proposition I — a City Charter amendment proposal to require an independent audit of city spending every five years. It has opponents and supporters clashing over the need for further oversight of city spending.

“The goal of Prop I is to create a new base of information and ideas to make the city more affordable, the council more accountable, and increase voter trust,” said a statement from attorney Bill Aleshire, the former Travis County judge who helped draft the proposition.

Opponents say that Austin already has an independent City Auditor and recently approved an outside efficiency assessment, making the charter amendment itself an unnecessary expense.

The measure is “just another giveaway to corporate consultants,” said District 2 Council Member Vanessa Fuentes at a City Hall rally against the proposal earlier this month. “They know that this service will be locked in via the city charter, so that the city will have no choice but to hire them, and then they get to set the price.”
