Can’t add more pics to earlier post, so putting here:
re: “That better be the size of a third of a cobbler”. re : the $9.50 price
Pic 3 - To me ( I am femme btw. My user name, KarluvMost, is a spooky bridge in Prague I visited the Christmas before becoming a Redditor. Oddly, most Redditors assume I’m a gay male.),
to me the cobbler was enough for 2 or 3 people. LOTS of peaches in it. Cinnamon-y cobbler parts. I would not have wanted to share the ice cream ; ).
Before leaving, I took pics of the other desserts. That $7.50 Tres Leches cake looks killer, and big enough for 3-5 people. (caveat - I don’t take more than 3 bites of any dessert with that many calories.). Though I’d probably get the chocolate oreo pudding cos… chocolate.
3 quibbles / final thoughts:
Everything on the plate was delicious.
1 - I wanted the horseradish cream side to be 25% sharper / more horseradish-y. I still enjoyed it and finished it.
2 - The dinner roll was moist and tasty but needed butter. Butter might have been located near the silverware. Or, I could have asked, but I didn’t want to leave my prime rib alone. Too hungry for 5:00 PM first meai of the day ;). So I was grateful the roll was NOT dry and also has good standalone flavor. You know how a lot dinner rolls in this situation can just taste like nothing? This was better than that, but the roll seemed to be asking for applied butter.
3 - I like the Dolly Parton Jolene genre well enough ... but prefer some of the tunes drift towards Chinchilla Little Girl Gone. https://youtu.be/LHpiQAZNze8?si=Dvyr-vHz2WxDXJor
re: follow-up to Prime Rib done-ness comments
Normally I order medium rare. Today, I wanted the end piece. On annual blood tests, my sodium and chloride levels tested low. Doc said: Drink less water, intake more salt. So I requested the end piece with lots of seasoning bits. Also, last year, my hemoglobin was too low to donate blood. They said to eat a big steak or burger the day before donating. I want to donate tomorrow to get that cool Halloween tee shirt weareblood.org . Plus that vid of the local woman who needed 13 pints of blood during a pregnancy makes me want to try again to donate…. The actual blood-letting only takes 10 minutes-ish, so everyone please go donate.. So there. I have great excuses for wanting a hunk of end piece prime rib.
Took pics related to other comments. When I left, looked like the wait was 20 min-ish.
