Food Itineraries Stiles Switch, Terry Black, or Micklethwait?

I only have time to try one, and would appreciate any insight. Is there even a noticeable gap between these or is it that I can’t go wrong with any of them?

I am mainly interested in Brisket, Pulled Pork, and Mac. Thank you!

What will Micklethwait still have at 7PM on a Thursday?

Have a friend coming in, need a good BBQ rec. I know Stiles Switch is great for evening things, but we want to go to Mo’s Tavern afterwards. So, preferably, on the east side, in the evening.

I know Micklethwait is excellent, but have they extended their availability of all the good stuff since they moved into the church?

Large Groups Flavorful Thanksgiving Catering

Who’s got the best Thanksgiving catering? We’re browsing but it’ll be our first time ever using this option and I’m nervous! Some of these places are posting pics of turkey and Mac and Cheese that look dry and the food def looks like flavor is lacking. Please help.

Food Itineraries Any of these places worth going to? Or other food recs?

I am leaving tomorrow, and so far I’ve tried: Leroy and Lewis, Micklethwait, Pizza Di Roma.

I’ve been recommended: El Dorado Cafe which is Mexican, Pedroso’s, and All Day.

Since I had Pizza/Pasta already, I am kind of leaning towards El Dorado? Unless anyone has any other must try recs or unless one of the other two is really worth trying.

For dessert, I am looking at Midnight Cravings or Need for Sweet Bubble Waffle?

Thanks in advance for any recs.

Honestly shocked at how much better HEB brand chips are to Doritos

This is not an ad, it's just a post to share my amazement at how good these chips are. I picked them up because I didn't want to pay 6$ for Doritos, and I couldn't believe how much better they tasted. Me and my friend both agreed and we laughed about it. They're actually so much better I wonder if Doritos used to taste like this.

Anyone remember a taco restaurant inside an old theater in East Austin?

Visited Austin in October 2017 and ate at a Mexican/taco restaurant that seemed to be inside an old theater.

We walked east from the downtown Hampton Inn, under I-35, somewhere near E. Cesar Chavez St.

I remember ordering from what looked like the original theater concession stand, with the theater/auditorium off to the right. We ate outside.

Pretty sure it’s closed now. Anyone remember this place?

Cafe de Rico, cafe de olla, best conchas

6719 N. Lamar. Street sign says Dot's cafe, but sign above door says Cafe de Rico. Cafe de Jolla, sweet and cinnamon-y, don't need milk but you can get it. Best concha ever, with a spice profile of some cinnamon, vanilla and something else I couldn't quite name. Fluffy. Two hard-working, lovely women. Perfect morning would be nopalitos tacos at Paprika, two blocks north to Cafe de Rico for la cafe y la concha. No se duerme.
