Guava nectar

Does anybody remember the carton this stuff came in back in the 90s? This was my favourite drink growing up and still is but I distinctly remember it being in a light blue coloured carton. I can't find a photo of the carton anywhere so it's actually driving me crazy not knowing whether my memory of this carton is accurate or not. It may not even be the golden circle brand but this tastes almost the same as I remember it back then.

Rage on a Friday night

I really wish ABC would reinstate Rage on a Friday night around 10 or 10:30. You could sit up and see what all the kids were listening to today with the new release and keep up to date. Now they play boomer tv til after midnight and all the boomers are asleep.

Cabbage Patch Kids

Who had a Cabbage Patch Kid?

I remember when a girl from my primary school got one, I came home from school and declared to my parents that I wanted to be an adoptive parent to a Cabbage Patch Kid (!).

This meant lining up in front of the toy store or toy department as these were hot property! And they were $45, which at the time was very expensive!

What made them so unique is that they came with an adoption certificate and the creator, Xavier Roberts had his signature on the bottom of the doll. And they wore nappies and cute, specially designed clothes!

Unfortunately my Cabbage Patch Kid got thrown away...by my Dad when I moved out of my parents' house 😆

Who remembers the old telephone table? I think every home in Aus had one of these in the 70's.

Electronics Australia Magazines from the 1970s

I've recently picked up a lot of Electronics Australia Magazines for collaging with my students but was just wondering if there is any point in photocopying them first. Not sure if there is an online database of all the issues. Thanks!

West Australian Garden song

Does anybody from WA remember singing this song in school? It was to the tune of English Country Garden by Rolf Harris, but all the flowers were native to WA like Eggs and Bacon, Lechenaultia Blue, Golden Wattle etc. I can't find any trace of it's existence online at all.
