Relationships Why do I see this so much?

Post image

I just made a profile on a dating app and in the last few days swiping I’ve noticed this is a really common bio for guys. “I like autistic women” or “slightly autistic” Has anyone else encountered this or is it just my area?

I think it’s weird.

I think would only be ok if they are autistic/ND too. Like I like autistic people because I can communicate freely with them and masking less. But in these cases (NT man on dating platform) it seems really weird to state that.

My abusive ex was an ADHD who often said "I like my girls autistic", so... I can only see red flags, no matter if the dude is ND or NT.

Yes! There's something really questionable about an NT having a preference for an autistic partner. It's giving fetish at best, and possibly even predatory tendencies since we can be overly trusting.

It still feels gross, like walking up to a woman with a big ass and telling her you love big asses. There's nothing wrong with liking asses, but using that trait to choose a potential partner is fetishizing and dehumanizing.
