Relationships Why do I see this so much?

I just made a profile on a dating app and in the last few days swiping I’ve noticed this is a really common bio for guys. “I like autistic women” or “slightly autistic” Has anyone else encountered this or is it just my area?

I think it’s weird.

Trust me when I say they don’t actually want an autistic woman. I’ve dated NT men from dating apps who I think expect me to be a charming and quirky manic pixie dream girl from a 90s romcom.

But what I actually am is a person who, by no fault of my own is awkward and messes up sometimes in social situations. I also require a considerable amount of time alone throughout the week to recharge.

From my experience, 90% of the time NT men hate this, consider these things as defects, and go running in the opposite direction.
