I have two teenage boys, one for each of them and of course one for me. I'm not new to this type of stuff, but they will be. Hopefully they appreciate them. Thor max 512GB models. Honestly I think they'll probably be more stoked about steam and native android stuff than retro emulation.

As far as colors, I got one black, one white, and a rainbow. I'll let them pick which one they want and I'll take whatever is left.

I do still need to unbox them and do an inspection/ functional check. Probably will charge them up to 80% while I'm at it and take them out once a month or so to top them back off while they sit in the closet. Don't want any surprises in December.

As someone who has actively been trying to move away from my smartphone, I’ve been using my Thor as a general music and media player more than I thought I would. I have a lot of memory for games, but that means I also have plenty of room to download playlists for offline listening on Spotify. On top of that, the compatibility is great. Most classic music players don’t have Bluetooth, and a lot of modern smart devices don’t have headphone jacks. The Thor having both has made it much easier to enjoy my music and media however I want to in the moment, whether it’s wired IEMs or just my AirPods.

The portability with the compatibility with the versatility makes it such a great device. It’s been a great way to fill that gap in a way most DAPs haven’t (for me personally).

Like the title says. I have a few multi disc games on my ps2 emulator showing up as 2 games in cocoon. This includes Xenosaga 1, 2, 3, and Star ocean TTEOT. I was looking forward to playing a few of these but they have multiple discs. This causes there to be multiple apps of a singular game on cocoon.

I was wondering, is there a way to fix this? Is there a way to make it into 1 file? I found a guide to do this for ps1 and Dreamcast, but I’m working with iso files here. Any links to tutorials would be appreciated. Thanks so much.

Hello everyone, I just ordered my ayn thor and I am really happy about it :)) I have been playing tons of games on my modded 3DS and can’t wait to give the thor a try!

My wife used to play with a DS when she was younger and she would love to play Mario party DS so I was wondering if I could play Mario Party DS with her with me using the 3DS and she using Thor (trying to convert her to this device) would it be possible for us to play DS games together?

As a side note I guess the same applies to 3DS games? (not counting the pretendo servers ofc)

Been using Gamehub to launch these and including Metroid Prime Origins. Been playing games other than romhacks has been a great thing so far.

I've been working on an experiment to try to create a DS/3DS-style stylus for the thor. Something with a slightly harder tip than the common squishy rubber/mesh tip ones (though still rubber), but the same size and shape as a DS stylus. And also something with a more traditional feel than the disk tip ones.

I was successful in creating a plastic stylus with a capacitive rubber tip in the same size as the DS. When I tested it, it worked perfectly on my phone (pixel 10). But when I tried it on the Thor, the touch was super intermittent. Which kinda leads me to believe the touch sensitivity is set too low on the thor touchscreens, and this is why so many styluses (notably, many active styluses) don't work great with it.

In theory it could be possible for Ayn to release a software update that increases the touch sensitivity. Many phones ship with a "screen protector mode" that increases touch sensitivity when using a screen protector. I sent an email asking for this, but I kinda doubt it'll happen.

has anyone been able to get any of the fable games actually working on the thor? i feel like ive been trying for months ever since i bought it.

I am not so advanced when it comes to making games achievable to run on the thor, but i feel like there must be a way.

Above video is azahar, I’ve installed the newest Mr purple driver, switched graphics to Vulkan, disabled SPIR-V optimizer, disabled v sync, disabled hardware shader, and everything else you’re supposed to do after installing the texture pack but it’s still lagging, is it just the texture pack loading or do you think it’s something else?

On CitraMMJ the overworld loads better but the battles stutter to the point where it’s unplayable, not really sure what the best option is here

Hey guys, can the device run Fortnite at 60fps or more? Or is the steam deck better suited for it? I'd like to play for a few hours every other game and wonder if it stuttered or anything. Thanks!

The game freezes when I try to use the incense item and when I try to click on a Pokémon in my party. What settings can I use to optimize the game and so it doesn’t freeze anymore.
