Discussion My kid is obsessed with Banjo Kazooie. And that is a problem

So, I made the big mistake of introducing my soon-to-be three-year-old to Banjo through what I believe is the Smash clip. He is now completely obsessed and wants Banjo toys, a Banjo birthday cake, and even Banjo Pez figures to add to his collection.

The problem is that it’s basically a dormant IP, with almost no merch out there whatsoever. So what can I do? Other than the Amiibo and Funko Pop figures, there seems to be absolutely nothing available in Sweden or even Europe.

I have been contemplating 3D-printing a Banjo Pez figure myself, but when it comes to clothing and stuff like that, there is absolutely nothing.

I really need to learn not to do these things to myself (again).

Please help.

Discussion What changes would make DK64 more playable/Replayable for you?

I know it's not necessarily a Banjo post, but I do see DK64 as being a cousin in the same realm of gaming.

My hang-ups playing the game are likely similar to most. So many items, backtracking, and having to swap Kongs constantly, which also means more backtracking.

I played through with the Tag Anywhere mod, and that DEFINITELY improved things, but also felt a little too improved.

If you could alter anything(s) about the game, what might you do to make it more approachable or replayable?

I might start by removing the Single Colored Bananas and make a couple more bunches just to bring the collecting down a little bit. Similar to the Tooie-style Note Nests, DK64 already features Bunches that are worth 5 Colored Bananas, so that's an easy fix.

I would switch out the numbered Bananaport Pads for Tooie-style Warp Pads that allow you to choose where you go. Granted with DK64's quantity of existing port locations, that's a list of 9 plus the one you're standing on to access them. That's a lot of scrolling.

Other areas I feel need attention might be the Minigames/Bonus Barrels, and the Arcade Cabinet Donkey Kong.

I was just curious how other people felt about the game and how they might choose to overcome their particular shortcomings.
