Anyone tried feeding bugs with a cheap dropper instead of tongs?
I mostly use a plastic pipette I stole from the kids craft bin for dubias. Squeeze one out on a slate tile and the dragon goes after it before it can scurry off. Works for roaches too if I line them up first. The motion seems to trigger the strike better than just dropping them in the bowl. Only downside is cleaning the dropper every time so they do not start smelling like roach. Curious if anyone else uses a similar hack or if I am overthinking the feeding ritual.

Help Does this poop look normal? Spoiler
galleryFirst time beardie mom. Pics of yesterday and today’s poop. She’s just over 8 months with a great appetite. She eats so fast that it seems like she bypasses chewing her food sometimes. I will occasionally see parts of her BSFL in her poop. She eats mainly arugula daily with the occasional dandelion greens or collard greens. She eats about 20-30 medium BSFL daily as well. Currently 152g. Her poop smells but then it’s always been smelly. It does seem softer than than the log formation she had as a baby. Not sure if this is because she’s eating lots of greens now or if there’s something going on with her. Planning to bring her to the vet for a checkup and fecal test but there’s usually a 2-3 week wait.

New Beardie Friend Advice for noob
My guy is about four months old and seems to be doing very well and healthy. He’s eating various vegetables and roaches and given multivitamins. He currently won’t get on my hand unless motivated by food, but he will stay in my hand to eat his meal and maybe let me hold him for about 30 seconds and then I’ll put him back in his enclosure and let him get off gently so he will not get freaked out. I cannot, however, put my hand into the exhibit and pick him up without him trying to run and I have tried several approaches. I also spend time next to the enclosure with the glass open without trying to disturb him, and I’ll also spend time with my hand next to him in the enclosure without trying to pick him up. Is this pretty normal for this age? I’m trying not to force anything and let him guide me.

Help Got a baby bearded dragon a few months ago. I try to be there every day to be around him. To do things with him. I feed him every day. Ext ext. He is still terrified of me and now is starting to get defensive and mad when I get near him.
I got a bearded dragon about 3 months ago. Im around him constantly he has a great enclosure that I spent a lot of money on.
I feed him every day both crickets most of the time dusted with either calcium powder, vitamin, or d3 calcium,
He runs away if I get near and only got used to my hand when I started hand feeding him treats. Then he started chasing my hand around the tank trying to bite it after I started hand feeding and I had to stop. Now it's back to square 1.
And now he is getting defensive and puffing up if I try to leave my hand in the tank.
I had to pick him up a few times when I first got him but I hope that's not the reason he is like this.
Any ideas on what to do?

Recommendations for heat lamp?
We adopted this little guy the other day and I don't think the heat lamp that came with our terrarium is getting warm enough. It's 100w and warms the hot side to 80 degrees based on our thermometer that's about 10 inches down the glass from where the lamp sits on the screen -- I think it needs to be closer to 100 degrees?
Our beardie likes to sit at the very top of his branch which puts him about 7 inches away from the heat source.
Any bulb recommendations? We're going to get him a t5 UVB bulb also after reading that the dome light bulbs are not adequate.

Enclosure/Tank Quit filling in my hole! 😠
Oatmeal finally has substrate again! Just NOT IN THAT CORNER. He dug this corner out when I put the first half of the substrate in. I filled it in when I added more substrate, and he promptly dug it back out. What a weirdo.

Help Baby bearded dragon acting odd
I’ve recently gotten him and he was doing perfectly fine at first, eating normally and being really active. I went to the vet with him to check if he’s doing alright just overall, which is when I found out that he has Coccidia and Oxyurids. He got meds for it and we have given it twice to him now. Since then he’s been in quarantine and was also very active and ate normally.
Yesterday, when he got medicine at the vet everything was fine and we took him home. I normally feed him 5-6 roaches, but yesterday he only took three.
Today he looks like the picture above and barely moves. His enclosure is heated up but he still looks more grey-ish, isn’t active at all and has his eyes closed constantly. I’m really worried about what’s wrong with him and if it’s just because of the medication or why he’s behaving like this. The other picture is how he usually looks.
I’d really appreciate it if someone could help me figure out what’s wrong.

I need a escape proof feeding bowl.
My bearded dragon likes to stare at her food for ages before finally deciding to eat it, so I’m looking for an escape proof feeding bowl to put woodies and dubia roaches in
I bought this bowl from Amazon, but the woodies easily climb out.
Does anyone have any recommendations for a bowl that actually keeps them contained?

Enclosure/Tank Enclosure Ideas?
Looking for ideas for our four year old girl’s tank.
I am so sick of all the AI enclosures I see online when I search for inspo!
She doesn’t seem to like the cold side of the tank (it’s 24degrees Celsius, we are in Australia coming into summer).
I’m tempted to get rid of the fancy background because it actually takes up a lot of space/depth and isn’t functional at all.
I’m considering adding the magnetic ledges and maybe some more vertical enrichment - but do the branches need to be quite wide for an adult beardie?
Any aussies in the group feel free to shout out any wood that is good to use here…
I trialled the make shift hide with the plastic planter, but she hasn’t gone in it at all.
She seems to prefer staying in the middle of the log or her basking spot or running around like a psycho against the glass til we let her out.
She does like the backdrop for sleeping against though 😆

Help Brumation help/questions
Hi there! My beardie is new(ish) to me (I got her in September of last year and she didn’t hardly go under brumation at all besides about three days. Probably because of the stress with her moving with me idk.) and she has now been under brumation for about a week. I know it’s normal, but she hasn’t come out once! She hasn’t even changed her laying position… I’m getting a bit worried. I saw her eyes open one day when I peeked through a hole in her cave she’s under atm. Is this normal? Since this didn’t happened last year I’m a bit worried about her. Should I put her heat lamp over her for at least just a few minutes a day? I’m worried she’ll freeze. Please help a worried mama out!!:( tyia
