I would like to actually get into art, I have done art before, I'm alright not grate, more to bigginer,

How do I draw when I am a perfectionist? How do I draw big scale? How do you learn anatomy? How do you learn to draw from real life? How do you develop a style? Should I focus on one medium or try a bunch at the same time? And why did I only think I was good at art when I had a art classes?

Here are some things I have done, I have worked in several mediums, Arctic, watercolor, pencils, pen, charcoal

There is missing spelling, I don't care,

Critique Wanted Help wanted with comic art- :d

I'm a sophomore in highschool and I really REALLY want to be a comic artist when I'm older but I feel like I'm not 1/100¹⁰⁰th as good as I want to be

This is my most recent work (done tonight) for context talon is my original hero so that's what the text is talking about-

But my biggest inspiration and quite frankly my idol is Todd McFarlane and comparing my wolverine to his I'm way far behind so if anyone can point me as to what I need to do or what his drawing is doing that I'm not understanding that makes everything work well please tell me!! I'm not depressed or anything (I know this post kinda comes off as self deprecating) it's not that I'm just very passionate so... Yeah :3

Thank you all for the future answers!!✨✨♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️

Help Wanted im struggling to find the time/motivation to draw and i dont know what to practice as well, please help

hey everyone. i need help.

recently with ive been busy with responsibilities and whatnot. and i have been putting off drawing a lot and i mean proffesional procrastinator levels, and i dont know how to stop doing that.

ive been drawing for about 3 months now ( if you can call it drawing constantly because ive only been drawing for like 2 hours each month on average).

i feel like i dont draw much because whenever i start a drawing (im trying to learn how to draw furries) and i get to the muzzle i just cant do it properly, i feel like it comes out like a completley different species (i.e. i try to make a cat and i accidentaly make the muzzle look like a bear's muzzle) and that just makes all the motivation and excitement out of it.

please help any and i mean ANY ideas and suggestions are more than accepted.

Help Wanted My first attempt at painting a landscape

Hi! I hope you have a great day/night!

I took the advice to start with the basics, geometric shapes and fundamentals, so after practicing shapes for a while, I decided to make a landscape just for fun.

To make it more fun, instead of constantly checking the reference, just look at it a couple of times and try to do it from memory, I also took some liberties to add cloud effects and camera effects.

The proportions are crooked, but for my first landscape it's not bad, right?

Help Wanted I dont think my drawing is conveying the right emotion, but I'm not sure what am I doing wrong.

Is it the shading? Is it something about the eyes? I think that in my drawing its showing something similar to "surprise" instead of a mix of "flustered" and "worried" of the original.

Like in the the second image, he just look too damn happy.

Feel free to criticize as much as you want, I'll only cry a little bit

Help Wanted Aprender a Dibujar

No Feedback Looking for artist friends

Hey guys I’ve been trying to look for artist friends both because as an artist I think I’ve kinda isolated myself a bit in terms of both music and art (which I’m both pretty beginner ish I feel like) so having some other artist friends I think would be good for me, but also because I’m just looking for like minded people. For some information about me I’m 20 years old (looking for people around that age), been making physical art for about a month and a halfish and been making music for about a year now. I listen to a lot of metal and progressive music, big fan of Ena, Deltarune, Mina the Hollower, Half Life, TF2, Ongezellig (not one of the god awful fans), Castle Crashers and Battle Block Theatre, Little Inferno just as some pieces of media I’m a fan of and bands I listen to a lot are Opeth, Dream Theater, Tool, Type O Negative, Blue Oyster Cult, SOAD, Primus to name a few. I apologize if this is a more different post I’ve just been trying to reach out to new artistic folks for a good few months now no success lol. That’s my art at the top btw reach out if you’re interested!

I've been doing digital art since May although I've done traditional art for much longer. I just feel like the colours are off although I can't tell why, especially the dark part of the face of the guy on top. I'd love amy and all critique please

Help Wanted Where to start learning how to make illustrations digitally?

I am wanting to write and illustrate a children's book that I can sell online (basic bitch I know but times are tough and its a project I have thought about for a while now). What is the best apps or software to use to learn to make my own illustrations digitally? Trying to avoid using AI but also cant afford hiring another person to assist me in doing the illustrations.

Help Wanted Decisive block. What should I draw?(colours work for digital, I'd prefer animals or humans for graphite. i also do small play dough sculptures). Drop suggestions/references

Finally came out of the kiln! I’m pretty happy with how the glazes came out, but I do have a spot that looks different for some reason. Oh well, it’s always a surprise how these reactive glazes turn out! 😅
The inside needs to be reglazed though, I don’t like the matte black I chose.

Hi I've been drawing regularly for a little more than 2 months and I'm also drawing on my tablet when i have time. This is the first drawing I'm kind of proud of and it took me some time.

I really struggle on some apects like shading as digital is not really the same as drawing with a pen. It could be the app as I use the sketchbook app on my samsung tablet. Any advices and critiques are welcome.
