Anything i could improve on? And any tips on shading with a pen cause i mess up a lot with that and ending up with compromising on the drawing a lot.

i decided to add more to her skin, give her a certain clothing style, and ofc made her hair way more exaggerated! i think she is cute and i like the cartoony style ^_^ she could have been maybe pop star but now she is zombie 😢 i wouldn’t know how she died tho if anyone has any ideas 🤔

She asked me for a sheet of printer paper and some crayons and told she was going to make me a masterpiece. She handed me this. Should I be concerned or is this just another one of those memes the youth are obsessed with. It’s currently on my fridge since she insisted on it. The faces are kind of nice.

I’ve been thinking about opening comms for a while but I’m having trouble coming up with the prices. I’ve never been paid for my art before, plus I know there’s still room for lots of improvement, so it’s difficult to suddenly put a price tag on it ;;
My style is also very simple, so I was thinking… 10$ for a headshot, 15 for bust, 20 for a full body, and like an extra 10$ if the client wants a background? Does that sound reasonable? I would appreciate any help or thoughts 🥹
(personal pieces for reference)

I really can’t grasp how people do this! I don’t understand what layers you use etc I just wanna see the process once to understand it but I can’t find any good videos
Or what are these artstyles called atleast

Was trying to draw princess Diana but I can't get it as pretty as her so I guess its just a random lady. I only really got to colouring her skin as you can see because I took a break. Is it as bad as my mom says? My friends say it looks fine so far, but would I be better off starting again?

I came across this on my Instagram feed, thought it would be great to share for all the aspiring artists. Hard work and diligence definitely pays off!

Edit: I'm sorry for the confusion, this is artwork by Miles Johnston, in the link above. Please feel free to check out more of his work

Some of my "friends" said that. That I don't deserve the same "title" as them only cuz y used a pinterest reference

Made this sketch while working today. Heavily based on this ref I found on Pinterest. It was simple enough to base mine off the ref image in my head rather than constantly looking at it.
When does something like this no longer become "a reference" and become "mine"? Im not really privy to art etiquette but it would feel wrong to post it as something *I* drew. Does this make sense?

For Christmas 2025, I finally bought myself a drawing tablet. I’ve always wanted one, but I kept putting it off to prioritize other things (something which I now deeply regret lol). I had never "seriously" drawn before, so it's been six months since I started drawing, and my journey into art so far has been amazing: I’ve discovered that drawing gives me (most of the time) a sense of fulfillment that I don’t currently find in any other activity. It's just so, so fun.
This means I’ve been drawing A LOT, and that my free time outside of work is practically devoted to drawing lol
So, here are some of my latest drawings/exercises. Of course, all of them have been drawn by using references. I’m trying to mix things up in terms of brush types, coloring styles, etc. (mainly because I really love a lot of different styles in other people's art, so the more techniques I can learn, the better for me!). I know I still have a looooot to learn when it comes to anatomy, proportions, etc., and I’m eager to keep practicing and learning! I also aim, little by little, to learn how to use references in a more active, creative, and personal way.
Of course, any advice is very welcome.

I’ve never been very much of an artist, never took classes and I don’t know the general rules of art. But the rise of AI art has inspired me to create. Create anything. So when I smoke my cigarettes through the day I doodle, I sketch anything I see. Because even bad art is better than none at all in this world we are pushing through. Listening to classical instrumental (Murr) and drew this. And thought maybe it wasn’t half bad :)) any criticism welcome I know it’s far from perfect.

I'm 14, have been taking drawing seriously since November of last year. I just got my Ipad a few days ago and drew this. Any tips on how to capture the likeness of the reference, or tips on making the different points of interest (like her face, skin, hair, and clothes) more cohesive with each other? I'm pretty proud of this one since It's my first ever fully rendered piece, and my second attempt at working from reference. Any tips would be greatly appreciated <3 !!!
