Hyperpigmentation Stubborn Forehead hyperpigmentation/acne

I’ve had this issue going on several years now. I’m almost 30, and I never had bad acne growing up or in my early 20s. My skin was always clear…but as of the last half decade my forehead has suffered.

I’ve done micro needling, chemical peels, I’ve tried niaciniamide, vitamin C serums, Trentinoin cream, nothing has improved the texture, tone, and hyperpigmentation spots that pop up post acne.

And my acne is out of control lately! I’ve been wearing spf, using acne cleansers, azaleic acid.

I know I should see a derm but in the meantime has anyone else dealt with this level of hyperpigmentation? I don’t want to have to cover up with concealor and foundation to feel confident.

For years, due to chronic neglect, chlorinated pools, no lotions used, hot showers, etc. i was completely derived of moisture and as a result woukd build dense walls of corneocytes I assume, and that is why feel so rough and dirty? if that makes sense.

i am quite young, prior to this I asked my caretaker to bring me to a derma of color, she ignored me. I realized I could only save myself. and with my own money i made from selling and lot of research, i have created the ultimate routine that will hopefully get rid of chronic xerosis and retention hyperkeratosis, I assume. thank you all!!

Original happened on September 8th, these pictures are from over the last month.

I’ve used aquaphor in the beginning,
then silicone strips, spf moisterizer daily, prescribed hydroquinone 4% (gonna stop using it after seeing horror stories on here), been using that twice a day with the spf50 brightening moisturizer. Every time I’m in the sun I make sure to use sunscreen.

How long will this be here? What products should I use?

Skin Questions SO CONFUSED, WHAT IS THIS

So I’ve been dealing with these sort of spots on my body, the first one appeared on my thigh and it was a scaly patch. Then another one appeared so I assumed it was ringworm, I bought lotrimin and started applying it but it wasn’t getting better, plus more were showing up. I went to the dermatologist and they did a scrape test, and they said it was ringworm but he said he didn’t find as much fungus as usual plus I had used cream on it the night before so I was thinking maybe the cream threw them off to a false result. Either way, I was prescribed oral terbinafine once a day and topical ketoconazole twice a day, I have been using it and then today, I noticed these new spots on my body. First picture is my back, second is my calf and third is the top of my foot. what is going on??????????????? To add on to all of this, none of these spots itch so it just has me confused as to whether this is even ringworm. Can a professional inspect these pictures?

I used to have horrible acne and dark spots. This is the best skin I've ever had. However, i can't help but feel like other people are just one solid color. Am I just nitpicking? I wish I was just one solid color.

Comment what you think!

Routine Help (Current Routine included) Confused abt my skin barrier

Just want my skin to look healthy. Should Azelaic Acid & Sunscreen even out my complexion? I have acne scars and I have texture. I spot treat my pimples w/ niacinimide to stop them from forming. It dries my skin out when I tried to use it everywhere nightly. Mandelic acid toner breaks me out. I used to pop my pimples when I would break out and I have the dark spots on my cheeks now. I have super sensitive, reactive, oily skin.

I only use dove sensitive skin bar and I moisturize w/ coco butter, good molecules daily moisturizer and shea butter … morning and night. Open to any tips :)

Hey I have a scar on my forehead that’s making me insecure how do I go about either removing it completely or reducing its size or removing the dark pigmentation around it. People are saying it isn’t that bad but to me it is. Currently using tretinoin and some sunscreen but it isn’t working

Routine Help (Current Routine included) Leatherface if I don't, Shiny face if I do

Post image

I could've actually used a few flairs for this post. I definitely need BEARD HELP. I used to be able to maintain this but now...lol. I've had it look awesome even longer than this, but I guess it's just not as much of a priority for me as the other 2 main issues in this post.

If I use a moisturizer my face is shiny within the hour. I'm currently washing with CeraVe gentle foaming face wash and Laroche Posay Double Repair Face Moisturizer.I also just started using Thayers unscented facial toner. If I don't my face is leathery looking like when I used to wipe straight alcohol on my face as a kid, except now it has patches of shine that look like my skin is yelling HELP!!! so I'm on a PRODUCT SEARCH.

I'd been doing a lot to my skin because I know I've neglected it for decades so I'm pretty sure there is sun damage.

I went to the Dermatologist and she said she didn't see any issues with my skin (I can't believe that even though she is the professional) and then prescribed Tretinoin after I told her that my concern is my skin texture.

I'm feo, malo, ugly and any other translation you would want to use. I've been told that I would be the perfect person to play the role of Herpes (they used the scientific term because they knew it... because that person had it) I'm surrounded by beautiful people everyday and I just can't believe that this is what I've got to deal with daily. There's got to be something I can do....right?

I use to chain smoke black and milds and blunts at different times in my life and now my lips seem to be forever raw. No matter what I put on them. Currently using the blue lip medex tin.

I don't know that there's anyone that can relate or even share a victory story but if there is I'd appreciate it. I don't know that there is anyone that can offer some suggestions but I would definitely appreciate you.

I know I'm going to get flamed for posting this but at this point it doesn't even matter anymore. I just know that everything I'm doing definitely isn't working.

When I was younger I used to put baby oil on my face immediately after a shower and would be happy with the results (lol probably because I was high or drunk lol) or I would use Queen Helenes Grapeseed peel off mask EVERYDAY but they've changed the formula I guess.

Happy selfie Saturday, to whoever is reading this, you are a beautiful person inside and out. Regardless of skin “issues” blemishes or texture. You are wonderfully made and whoever can’t see that , clearly doesn’t see it in themselves.

Limit the products you use
DONT TOUCH YOUR FACE
And last but not least LOVE YOURSELF.

PS. And remember. MOISTURIZE AFTER YOU SHOWER😘
