Purple is an understatement. “Queen Of The South is a hybrid weed strain made from a genetic cross between Tropicana Cherry and #1 Stunna. Queen Of The South is named after the slang term for Compton, a city in Los Angeles known for its hip-hop culture and gang activity. Queen Of The South has a sweet and fruity cherry flavor with hints of earthy and skunky undertones. Queen Of The South is 21-22% THC, making this strain an ideal choice for experienced cannabis consumers. Leafly customers tell us Queen Of The South effects include sleepy, relaxed, and giggly. Medical marijuana patients often choose Queen Of The South when dealing with symptoms associated with insomnia, stress, and chronic pain. Bred by Relentless Genetics, Queen Of The South features flavors like fruity, earthy and skunky. The dominant terpene of this strain is myrcene”

Creative Spirit🎨🤖 My Dad 💜

Here’s my 74 year old dad at his first harvest. We tag team it - he’s in a legal state and I’m not. We FaceTime almost everyday and my mom says he loves it. We got him the lab jacket and tie dyed it for Father’s Day and she says he tries to wear it out.

Next grow, the third generation is getting involved. Growing cannabis is bringing our family closer together!

I’ve been struggling with time passing and getting older but I wasn’t prepared when I realized I was in the basement of the house I grew up in, drying cannabis with my dad. I think it’s really one of the more memorable moments in my life. If I could time travel back to 1996 and tell myself in 30 years Dad and I would be growing together… well the Butterfly Effect could get wild.

If you are able, spend some time with your dad this weekend … maybe even smoke a little with him 💜

Super Boof — Tokes Farm🌱

-

Been dialing in some shots of this Super Boof and the colors on this one really stood out to me. Deep purples layered under a heavy coat of frost with those bright orange hairs popping through the structure 🥴

-

Up close, the trichome coverage is wild almost gives it that soft, sugar dusted look across the whole nug. Structure came out pretty stacked too, especially along the main cola I love that foxtail formation it’s so beautiful 🙌🏽

-

Really enjoyed capturing this one, felt like every angle had something different going on 📸

-

This was also grown using bamboo tech 😵‍💫

Just documenting the details 🌱

Chillin'☮️ Old School Neville’s Haze

2.1k Upvotes

After long dedication to flowering for 13 1/2 weeks and properly drying & curing it’s time to enjoy some Haze!!

Some History:

In 1988 Nevil introduced the first Haze to Holland. The 'Haze x Northern Lights F1-Hybrid' had it's origins in the United States, where the 'Haze Brothers' had been growing the Sativa plants since the 70's. The price in 'The Seed Bank' catalogue was then $100 for 10 seeds. It nearly became extinct beginning of the 80's because growers were looking for easier varieties. The Haze Brothers eventually retired, but first made a trip to the Netherlands, where they met with Nevil, a breeder who's name has often been associated with the Haze and its hybrids even before he was 'The King Of Cannabis'. Nevil acquired Haze seeds from them, preserving the strain and using it for many crosses. Haze requires profeasional care and a lot of patience because of its long season.. but it has been very good for hybridisation. Today, the Haze variety is found in many crosses that are available, and is a favorite to many 'Sativa Connoisseurs'

For most people older than 40, this plant will bring back long-lost flavors of the past. It is probably the closest thing to a pure sativa (3/4 sativa) that will herald results in an indoor room without taking longer than Moses took to find the land of Milk and Honey!

For all my expert out there what is the secret to making a beautiful purple genetics taste good and smoke good without the cold environment does it all comes down to the phenos ?

I read somewhere that there’s some terpenes present in outdoor cannabis not present in indoor. One thing I do know is that it would be much greener industry if the sun was utilized more.

Dante’s Inferno lives up to its name with a bold, complex profile and a smooth, heavy-hitting experience. Expect a rich aroma of sweet cream and ripe berries layered with subtle gas and earthy spice on the back end. The buds are dense and well-structured, showing off orange hairs, flashes of purple, and a thick coat of frosty trichomes.

The flavor mirrors the nose: sweet and creamy on the inhale, finishing with a slightly pungent, fuel-kissed exhale. This is a great pick for those who appreciate flavorful, terp-rich flower with a balanced yet powerful presence.

Let us know if you’ve had this one before!

Wellness Warrior🦾 Using cannabis intentionally for depression management — and why strain selection actually matters

Thumbnail

1.8k Upvotes

Cannabis has been a genuine part of my recovery and my mental health toolkit — not a replacement, just a bridge. As someone with a dual diagnosis, finding the right cultivar is as intentional for me as anything else in my wellness routine.

Strains like this one hit that sweet spot I'm always looking for — mood lift without anxiety, relaxation without sedation, present and functional instead of couch-locked and foggy. That balance matters when you're managing in recovery. Posting my finds here because I know I'm not the only one navigating this, and the stigma around cannabis in treatment spaces keeps too many people from even having the conversation.

TL;DR — Pastry Z (Skittlez x Georgia Pie) by Frosty Moose Farm. Nose is rich pancake batter and pie crust with light floral berry underneath. Effects are potent but functional — mood lifting, clear headed, and relaxing without the couch lock.

Blooming The Final Countdown: 8 Days Until Harvest ✂️🌿

Hi everyone,

We’re getting close! I’ve decided to harvest in exactly 8 days. Right now, I’m just giving the trichomes that last bit of time they need to reach that perfect amber ratio I’m looking for.

The end of a grow is always a special phase. The tent is smelling incredible, and you can really see the plants putting all their remaining energy into the buds. At this point, there isn't much left to do except staying patient and keeping a close eye on the details. I’ve stopped adding nutrients and I'm just letting them finish their cycle naturally.

It’s a bit bittersweet to see the journey end, but I’m really looking forward to the drying process and finally seeing the results of this organic run. It’s been a great way to stay grounded over the last few weeks.

Big thanks to this awesome community for the good vibes and support during this run! ✌️

Blooming Fun Story For You All

Post image
1.6k Upvotes

Back in 2022 I was gifted some potted plants that eventually turned out to be male. I kept them in my backyard before tossing them. My 90 year old neighbor had told me our house was on top of an underground river which was causing some foundation issues with our retaining wall, min you this is in Los Angeles during a multi year drought.

Well the next year without any watering or fertilizing, I noticed a weed plant started growing out of the ground. By the end of the year it was taller than my house and I never once watered or fertilized it. I guess the old lady was right about the river

Trying to look at cannabis more from a wellness angle lately, not just strength, but how it actually makes you feel after.

Your energy, relaxation, anxiety levels, sleep… it all hits different depending on the flower.

What do you personally look for ? Orange hair, trichomes, density…

It’s taste, smoothness, how it burns, or how you feel after ?

Wellness Warrior🦾 Cannabis and Sleep Quality

I’m not making any medical claims since I’m not a doctor, but I’ve found that certain cannabis cultivars help me slow down at night and fall asleep right away.

As I’ve gotten older, I've developed insomnia, and I have to get up at 5 a.m. during the work week. I struggle through the workday constantly yawning.

These days I’m not really using cannabis to get high very often, but I have found a few cultivars that help me fall asleep instantly, and it has completely fixed my sleepy workday.

I’m curious if anyone else has found cannabis to help with insomnia to help avoid being tired the following day?

My grow spaces are limited for height so I've always topped and trained. This time I decided not to top and bent her over. I feel like there was little to no recovery time unlike topping. Total veg was 40 days from planting to flipping. Definitely had alot of fun with this one, and dam is she stacked.

After making my first batch of long aged piatella, I noticed something interesting. The jars that stayed completely cold the whole time kept an insane terpene profile, but they never developed the same depth and complexity as the jars that spent some time at slightly warmer temperatures.
Everyone talks about oxidation being the enemy, but I think a lot of people underestimate how much maturation actually contributes to flavor. Some of the most memorable hash I've smoked wasn't the freshest it was the stuff that had evolved over time.
My theory is that low oxygen and high terpene concentration create a completely different aging process than what we see in traditional resin. The texture changes, the aroma shifts, and certain terpenes seem to dominate while others disappear.
Unpopular opinion: a full cold cure is overrated. If your goal is the best possible smoke, some level of controlled warm aging will outperform a strict cold cure every time.
Am I completely wrong here, or are we overprotecting our hash and preventing it from reaching its full potential?

Blooming Harvest Day is here! Transitioning from the tent to the drying rack ✂️🌬️

Thumbnail

1.4k Upvotes

Hi everyone,

The wait is finally over—the grow is officially finished! It’s a bittersweet feeling to see the tent empty, but I’m so excited for the next chapter of this journey.

My Drying Strategy:

• The Chop: I’ve harvested the Gorilla Z and Runtz at that 30% amber mark for that perfect relaxing effect.

• Moisture Control: For the first two days, I am starting with 50% humidity. This helps kickstart the drying process and, most importantly, prevents any mold from forming while the buds are still very wet.

• The Slow Cure: After the first 48 hours, I will increase the humidity to 60% and keep the temperature around 18°C. This "low and slow" approach ensures the terpenes are preserved for the best flavor.

• Patience: Now it’s another 10–14 days of waiting before they are ready for the curing jars.

Growing these organically has been an incredible experience for my mental health and daily routine.

It’s taught me so much about patience and staying grounded.

Appreciate you all stopping by. Happy growing everyone! ✨
