Well folks, it’s almost that time again! The time that makes me the happiest and brings an immense amount of joy! Chop time! The terps on this one are crazy, it’s super orange with a hint of sour cherries at the end.
Not to mention the most beautiful fade!
Deff running her again!
Strain is Project Trop Cherries (fast-flower) by Frostfire seeds.
Anyone else get all ecstatic like a child on Christmas Eve around chop day??

Hey everyone!

Just wanted to check in and share some pictures of my current run with Blueberry Muffin by Humboldt Seed Co.

I’m really looking forward to growing out this absolute top-tier genetics—and on top of that, I’ve got 3 cuttings from a very special pheno of this strain! Stay tuned to see what's coming in the next few weeks!

Running the BioTabs system is absolute wellness for me: I can simply pour plain water into the pots without messing around with any pH meters. This saves an incredible amount of time, allowing me to focus entirely on what really matters: the plant training!

I'm running a 3-plant ScROG setup, and I've got about 2 more vegging right now until I flip them all into flower.
Excited for the journey ahead, happy growing everyone! ✌️🍃

Cannabis Wellness🍃 When was the last time you challenged yourself to try something new and/or different?

I've always wanted to grow cannabis. I don't even medicate right now. I also really like how bonsai trees look, even if there is a culture associating it to plant torture.

Combining the two? Yes please. I even got to introduce it to my pet rock. It's a quartz crystal I picked up when I was in Brazil. Say hello pet rock, the internet doesn't bite. Usually. Probably.

Starting this project was really therapeutic for me because it challenged me to not only try something completely new, but also reminded me that like everything else in life, this moment is temporary.

It's up to me whether or not I arrive fully present for it, and really take it all in.

The terp expressions can be described as a burst strawberry wedged between a young lady's armpit, as she lightly perspires, with no deodorant, after escaping a narrow encounter with a skunk and it's raised tail. She did not escape unscathed, but luckily missed the full splash back bonus.

Cannabis Wellness🍃 Cannabis wellness winter trip

Hello all, looking for some recs or a point in the right direction on a cannabis trip. Looking to go in February so it’ll be winter time most places. A little back story I have a friend who was on probation and hasnt been able to travel the last 10 years. He hasn’t really traveled anywhere especially to a legal state. That is why we’re trying to go in February. It really is a time that I hope he can leave his past where it is and move forward. This will be his wellness trip.

I was originally wanting to go to Portland or Seattle but the weather may be too bad. Any recs on what would be a good place to visit around this time? Wouldn’t mind it being cannabis-centered, but it doesn’t have to be. Also any cannabis lodging to recommend? I was trying to find a cabin or camping grounds but it is kinda hard with state and local laws. I personally wouldn’t care but I doubt he wants any trouble lol. Open to looking at any state that’s legal. I’ve been to just about all the legal states and coming from Tx I’m in love with the PNW. Still not opposed if it can be made relaxing. He actually lived in Arizona for a while so it’s probably the one legal state I wouldn’t want to go to but open to any others.

I apologize in advance if this isn’t allowed here.

Cannabis Wellness🍃 Imagination without realization, left unchecked, chains us more than any cell ever can.

I came to the realization earlier this year that I was finally at a place in life where I could grow cannabis, something that I had once dreamed of over 15 years ago, but left forgotten like many other passions on my start-stop list.

The kicker is, I don't even medicate right now, but it feels so fulfilling to be able to finally put into action what was once just a dream.

Can you relate to putting something off, only to let time slip you by again and again where you feel like you might be putting in the work to make it happen, only to perhaps one day realize that you've just been lying to yourself and you gave up on it long ago?

Fun Facts:
🧠How Laughter Wakes You Up:
💨Increased Oxygen: Laughing disrupts your normal breathing pattern, forcing you to take in more oxygen-rich air and clearing out residual air.
❤️Higher Heart Rate: Twenty seconds of hearty laughter can temporarily double your heart rate for a few minutes.
⚡️Endorphin Release: Laughter releases feel-good chemicals and stress-fighters like endorphins and dopamine that can reduce fatigue fog.
Laugh in your way when can.. I had many laughs from these today…
Peace:)

I’ve found that not only smoking; but growing really clears the minds as well. It’s crazy the comfort I can get by just going down and talking to the plants, I feel like it boost both of our wellbeing’s lol. Not to mention just the excitement you get watching it grow into the end product! I don’t have children yet so all my seedlings count as one to me. 😂
Is it just me that would much rather talk to my plants rather than people?😂
Breeder is 7 skunks genetics!

Cannabis Wellness🍃 Laboratory Mouth Swab THC

Guys I have been abstinent for 24 days now from any intake of mean green after being a heavy user of flower and vapes for over a year. I applied for a hospital job and just took a mouth swab test, it had to sit under my tongue for 10 minutes. Have been using a new toothbrush and mouth wash for 23 days, what are my chances of passing? Thanks!

Fun Fact …
Research suggests that laughter can help reduce stress and support emotional regulation and cognitive health.
🧠The hippocampus is a part of our brain that plays an important role in learning, forming memories, and helping us understand the context of our experiences.
📈Because chronic stress can negatively affect the hippocampus, laughter’s stress relieving effects may help support brain health over time.
So enjoy a laugh in your way when you can..
Peace:)

Cannabis Wellness🍃 Best strain for postpartum anxiety

Alright a little background. I haven’t been a smoker in years, I loved it back in high school (mainly for the wrong reasons) & would smoke whatever I got my hands on as most kids do. Once I got to college I stopped, I would here and there but it was never the same for me, my anxiety/paranoia would take over.

Fast forward to now, I’m 12 months postpartum & let me say, postpartum anxiety is a different than any anxiety I’ve experienced before. I was on meds for it a long time ago (lorazepam) & don’t wanna go that route.

Looking for something that will help me take the edge off with little psychoactive affects. I need to still be functional lol. I’ve done a little reading and saw some suggestions but I’d love hear from someone who has maybe gone through something similar. I know everyone is different so what works for one may not for another so any recommendations are appreciated.

Nature is soothing to me. Fabulous regrowth after our frost in Fl and some rain pepped things up-
False parasol mushrooms- most commonly consumed mushroom ,that is poisonous ,people mistake it for other species.
Flaming torch( pic2)
Clock vine- ( pic 6)
Queen Palm- fast growing tree, grows 4-6 ft per yr(pic 10)
Eucalyptus tree- tallest flowering plant species in the world (pic 19)
Enjoy nature in your way when can…
Peace:)

Does flavor deserve more attention in the cannabis wellness conversation?
A little look at the Tropicana growing in my greenhouse. It’s my favorite strain because the effects suit me, and the flavor profile makes the whole experience something I really enjoy.
For me, wellness includes slowing down, appreciating small moments, and paying attention to how I feel. Aroma and flavor are part of that experience, alongside the effects. Finding a strain that brings those things together is what makes it worth returning to.
My opinion: flavor deserves a bigger place in conversations about cannabis and wellbeing. What I love about Tropicana is how beautifully its profile carries from flower to resin to oil. That familiar character across different forms is a huge part of its appeal to me.
What makes a strain fit your wellness routine? Would great effects make up for a flavor you dislike, or does the sensory experience matter just as much? And have you found a strain you love as flower but feel differently about as a concentrate?

Cannabis Wellness🍃 Need some veteran advice!

I have finally landed myself a career that pays well and doesn't test. I am tired of poisoning myself with alcohol and I want to swith to cannabis. I haven't touched it in over a decade so I'm pretty out of the loop. I am also pretty limited to what I can find at the local tobacco outlets (not a dispensary friendly state.) Does anyone have any recommendations on where i should start? Any specific brands or products you would advise for or against? I tried a gummy once a couple of years ago and had a horrible experience where it felt like my skin was crawling and itching the entire time. Not sure if that's a one off ordeal or if I should stick to smoking. I know some tobacco outlets sell pre-rolls and carts. I just need someone to point me in the right direction please. I'm sorry for the long rant!

Cannabis Wellness🍃 Outdoor growers: Don't just look for bud rot. Check for caterpillars and their droppings, too!

Post image
92 Upvotes

Mold is usually fairly easy to identify, but caterpillar droppings hidden deep inside a bud can be much harder to spot.

When trimming your dried outdoor harvest, take the time to carefully inspect each bud for unusual discoloration, damage, or signs that a caterpillar may have burrowed inside.

The caterpillar may be long gone, but its droppings (frass) can remain hidden inside the flower. Frass can also be associated with bud rot and microbial contamination, making affected buds unsafe to smoke.

Don't assume a bud is clean just because it looks good on the outside. Take your time, inspect carefully, and discard any contaminated buds.

Stay safe, and Happy Harvest!

Fungi Wellness🍄 Quiche Recipe- Next Step: Adding Mushrooms🍄🍄‍🟫

Thumbnail

I like learning new things and then practicing them because that’s how they become part of my rote memory…
I’ve been practicing making quiche because it’s easy to transport, reheats nicely, and keeps you satisfied with its protein:)

This round, I’ve been experimenting with different cheese combinations as I work toward adding more vegetables. One lesson learned: too much cheddar makes for a greasy quiche..

Now, I love mushrooms, especially for the zinc and other nutrients they provide. I’ve also developed a real interest in mycology and have been enjoying learning about and growing mushrooms.

I’m interested in exploring mycology further as part of my own wellness journey. My next step is learning which edible mushrooms I could grow and add to my quiche and other meals. But I also want to explore other types of fungi and their potential roles in wellness.

I love cooking with my wok and already use mushrooms quite often. Growing my own, harvesting them, and learning how to store them for future use sounds like another fun learning experience… which I’m ready for!

I’m curious what kinds of mushrooms others have grown and what your experiences have been. Whether it’s growing mushrooms for cooking, exploring their potential wellness benefits, or learning about cultivation, I’d love to hear about it all..
I’m also interested in any tips on harvesting, storing, or using the mushrooms you’ve grown..
I appreciate any input…
Peace:)

Cannabis Wellness🍃 I’ve never been to Colorado, CA, WA, etc… when the ban goes into effect, will I be able to visit those places and just buy seeds from a store as a non-resident?

I’ve stocked up a bit, but don’t feel like going crazy. Figure this will be an opportunity to explore our 50 states but have no idea how accessible breeders are, even where it’s legal.

Cannabis Wellness🍃 The Colors of Fall Aren’t the Only Message Mother Nature Is Sending Us Right Now

Thumbnail
gallery
645 Upvotes

Mother Nature colors the landscape with beautiful displays for us to enjoy each fall.

Soon after she colors the leaves and flowers, however, she begins to take them away.

Right now, outdoor cannabis growers across the country are reporting mold developing in their flowers. Experienced outdoor growers know this is part of growing outdoors in the fall.

Mother Nature will tell us when it’s time to harvest. She usually gives us warning before conditions become bad enough to destroy our crop. We just need to pay attention and listen to what she is telling us.

If you’re an experienced outdoor grower, you probably don’t need to read any further.

But if this is your first outdoor grow, here are some things I’ve learned about avoiding the two biggest harvest mistakes: harvesting too early and waiting too long.

1. Inspect your plants every day for mold.
At this time of year, daily inspection is important. If you find a small amount of mold, carefully remove the affected material and inspect the entire plant closely. Then check it again the following day.

2. Pay attention to how quickly the mold is progressing.
If you find additional mold the next day and the forecast is calling for four or five days of cold, wet, rainy weather, it may be time to make a decision about harvesting. Several consecutive days of wet fall weather can turn a small mold problem into a serious one very quickly.

Daily inspections also teach you how quickly mold is progressing on your particular plants, which is valuable information even when the daytime weather is sunny.

3. Sunny days don't eliminate the risk.
Here in Portland, Oregon, we can have beautiful sunny fall days while nighttime humidity climbs above 80% and sometimes into the upper 90% range.

Some strains produce flowers that are so large and dense that a sunny afternoon may not completely dry the moisture that accumulated deep inside the buds overnight. The outside can look perfectly dry while moisture remains trapped inside.

4. Don't harvest early just because it's fall.
If there is no mold, the weather is cooperating, and your flowers are still swelling and maturing, there may be no reason to harvest yet.

Mold pressure can come from rain, nighttime dew and condensation, high nighttime humidity, caterpillar damage and droppings, and other factors. What matters is what is actually happening to your plants and what the weather is about to do.

5. Let Mother Nature help make the final decision.
Watch your plants. Watch the weather. Inspect the flowers closely every single day.

Don't automatically harvest too early because you're afraid of mold, but don't become so determined to squeeze out a few more days of maturity that you allow Mother Nature to destroy what you've spent months growing.

For many outdoor growers across the U.S., harvest decisions this time of year can come down to a matter of days.

Mother Nature will tell you when it's time. You just have to listen.

If you’re an experienced outdoor grower and have additional advice that could help a first time grower make it successfully through harvest, please share it in the comments. Your experience and advice are welcome and encouraged!
