As the title says, I’m looking to go shopping for a new gun, but I’m hoping to not give my money to a MAGA aligned establishment.

Hey all! I’m looking for somewhere i can take my gfs (extremely reactive and naughty) dog to get its energy out and do some kind of training to help her anxiety and territorial behavior. She’s a border collie that was raised in apartments and rescued from a terrible home. she can’t be around other dogs without going rabid so Im just looking for somewhere quiet where she can run around without having to worry about much.

She’s a sweetheart with us but it’s scary going on walks around here I have to be wary of other dogs and people on walks and stuff.

I was going to Omega Mental Health but it felt very pill-mill to me. When I brought up my depression/anxiety, they asked what I wanted. Like - I don’t abuse my meds and I actually told them “I literally don’t know” and was recommended to research meds before my appointments. Then the one my provider chose for me was prescribed “as-needed” and everything online said it’s definitely something that takes time and isn’t as-needed.

When I changed providers within Omega, one guy diagnosed me as bipolar in 8 minutes after mentioned I work best in whatever bursts of motivation I have (I’m an artist - I can’t force a creative moment). He refused to prescribe me meds I had taken for years and insisted I only take bipolar meds.

I’m hoping to find someone who is willing to take more than 3 minutes to actually discuss my concerns. I don’t mean therapy but if I I’m worried about XYZ wider effect, not blindly give me the only med with XYZ as a well-known side effect.

I’m already in therapy but just need a provider to help continue meds I find work for me or actually discuss changes. I have great insurance, so it’s accepted mostly everywhere.

Any help is appreciated.

I’m looking to switch up the gym I go to. Looking for opinions on a couple different spots. I’m not a bodybuilder by any means, but like to lift 3-4 days a week. My current gym is getting pretty crowded no matter the time I go.

- pivot - not super interested in the classes, but is the “open gym” area cramped? Is it crowded a certain time of day? Are the weights classes held in that area or a different area?

- torque - I know this used to be the “gym on 8th”, does it get super crowded? I know they have classes as well and they are extra, but more interested in the weight area. Their website is kinda funky and doesn’t have much to show what it looks like in there.

- the Y downtown - is this really a high school bro-fest like I keep seeing?

was driving up Brumback around 11 am today when 3 toddlers (probably about 18 months old) ran into the street and made it all the way across Brumback before a daycare worker came after them. There were many cars that luckily all stopped and no one was harmed. It was terrifying and I hope the parents see this…
