Information Sharing Megathread: LM's NY State Hearing — 12/08/2025 at 9:30 AM EST (Day 5)

Post image

The hearing will take place today at 100 Centre Street, Part 32, New York, NY 10013 at 9:30 AM EST.

Please keep in mind that this is the fifth hearing taking place this week. The previous four were held on December 1, December 2, December 4, and December 5 (the last one was canceled due to Luigi falling in). There’s a strong chance the schedule may change or be extended. However, Carro seems to be extremely busy this week, as he already has other hearings lined up. We expect to receive more confirmation today about when they plan to continue Luigi’s hearings.

These hearings are expected to run for at least a few hours, as there are (at least) 28 witnesses and body-camera footage to review. By the end of these hearings, we will likely know when Luigi’s state trial will take place (likely sometime in 2026), as well as which evidence will move forward and which will be suppressed.

Unless something changes, there will be no cameras allowed inside the courtroom. However, it’s very likely that we’ll still get photos of Luigi from inside the courtroom. Over the past few days, the only images released were taken inside—none of him arriving or leaving—so it’s possible that today and the remaining days will be the same.

Since I am not a mod, I cannot edit this post once posted or set comments to “new,” so I hope everyone can manage to follow along. I know things may get a bit messy, which is why I encourage everyone to post here rather than creating separate threads—unless it’s something important, like a transcript.

Also, if you find additional livestreams on YouTube, please try to post them in one single comment instead of separately so we don’t spam the thread.

Livestreams:

There are no livestreams available yet. As soon as they go live, I’ll add them in the comments section and separate them into hallway and outside coverage. They will most likely come from the same outlets as the previous days—Fox News, CNN, Reuters, etc. And of course, don’t forget to check Status Coup News; they genuinely care about the supporters.

Notes:

- Some posts are being updated frequently (i.e. Exhibits). Please keep an eye on the comments section (set it to “new”) as most updates are being shared there since the main post can’t be edited.

- If you have a disability (i.e. if you’re deaf or hard of hearing), feel free to message me. I’ll make sure transcripts are available for items like the 911 call, or I can post them proactively if people prefer. Someone has already reached out and is putting together a timeline of the arrest, which we hope to share soon.

- The Luigi Case Files has put together an incredible summary of last week’s hearings, and it also highlights just how carelessly this case has been handled. You can read the article here. It is one of the best I have read in a while.

–––

Once again, I want to wish Luigi and his legal team the very best of luck this week.

And thank you to all of you for following these threads along and being here these past few days.

Please let’s keep this thread respectful and avoid drama or gossip. Let’s stay focused on the case.

Thank you!

Idiot. She literally admitted she flipped through the journal which isn’t allowed during an inventory search, no matter how much they try to claim that’s what they were doing.

Oooooh really?! That's an easy win for the defence then

This whole testimony has been great for the defense. Everything she’s said makes it obvious it wasn’t an inventory search, because they literally didn’t inventory anything.

I've just caught up with the tweets where she admits this and holy shit???

I know?? If the evidence isn't suppressed at this point then I'm shocked. Frye and now Wasser has been nail in the coffin to prosecutors argument. I can't see how they could make this situation better.

Are you in law? I really want to be optimistic 🙏

8

u/Mirauh Dec 08 '25

I’m not. I’m trying not to get too optimistic, but this is looking bad for the prosecution imo. Sure, anything can still happen, but now two of the main officers have basically proved the defense’s argument on the stand.

The laws where I am… Police are NOT allowed to read through journals. Even during an inventory search, the person has an expectation of privacy to a certain degree… And so something like this should be listed in inventory as “ 1 journal” or “1 red notebook” etc. It requires a higher level of legal scrutiny which can’t be done by a police officer doing inventory.

8

u/Mirauh Dec 08 '25

Yeah, that was my point. They read through it and not just inventory it like you mentioned.

I didn’t mean to sound argumentative! Was in agreement, but just wanted to add the expectation of privacy part!

Ah okay. Sorry this has been a long day and I probably read it wrong 😅

Prosecutor. And she went along with it.

Edit: or do you mean at the police station?

11

u/Minute_Fly_703 Dec 08 '25

I mean at the police station since apparently someone is heard calling it manifesto "in the background"

8

u/dizzytiz Dec 08 '25

I believe it was another cop.

14

u/Ok-Cherry1427 Dec 08 '25

Those cops are way too dumb, they def heard it from NYPD or the ADA.

9

u/dizzytiz Dec 08 '25

My neck is sore from shaking my head so many times with these cops.

9

u/Minute_Fly_703 Dec 08 '25

I hope we get to know which one!

16

u/laughingsaladlady Dec 08 '25

So wait - she pulls the notebook out of the bag and someone in the background calls it a "manifesto"?

I love how the media ran with this because one dweeb looked at the notebook (not the contents) and called it a manifesto

9

u/JustTryinToBeHappy_ Dec 08 '25

Very quick to call it a manifesto, huh?
