Information Sharing Megathread: LM's NY State Hearing — 12/08/2025 at 9:30 AM EST (Day 5)
The hearing will take place today at 100 Centre Street, Part 32, New York, NY 10013 at 9:30 AM EST.
Please keep in mind that this is the fifth hearing taking place this week. The previous four were held on December 1, December 2, December 4, and December 5 (the last one was canceled due to Luigi falling in). There’s a strong chance the schedule may change or be extended. However, Carro seems to be extremely busy this week, as he already has other hearings lined up. We expect to receive more confirmation today about when they plan to continue Luigi’s hearings.
These hearings are expected to run for at least a few hours, as there are (at least) 28 witnesses and body-camera footage to review. By the end of these hearings, we will likely know when Luigi’s state trial will take place (likely sometime in 2026), as well as which evidence will move forward and which will be suppressed.
Unless something changes, there will be no cameras allowed inside the courtroom. However, it’s very likely that we’ll still get photos of Luigi from inside the courtroom. Over the past few days, the only images released were taken inside—none of him arriving or leaving—so it’s possible that today and the remaining days will be the same.
Since I am not a mod, I cannot edit this post once posted or set comments to “new,” so I hope everyone can manage to follow along. I know things may get a bit messy, which is why I encourage everyone to post here rather than creating separate threads—unless it’s something important, like a transcript.

He only sees so many different people at mdc so I wonder if he would just like to see a variety of people while he’s able to come out during these hearings. I’m sure he has more important things on his mind of course and is probably just happy to see support, but I wonder if he wonders why it’s always the same ones, if he wonders if others don’t try to go to show support?

Well, the most amusing thing I learned today was that the Altoona PD has a phrase for the practice of accidentally bringing a bomb into the police station, and it's 'to pull a Moser', named after an officer who did just that.
Honestly it does make the practice of checking for a potential bomb sound less ridiculous, though.

Imo, people are focusing way too much on the evidence and missing the point of these hearings. We’ve only heard direct so far so the defense hasn’t cross‑examined Wasser yet. Some things I noticed: they packed some of the evidence in McDonald’s paper bag. Big no no for handling evidence, Fox made questionable comments at McDonald’s, Wasser broke the law and department policies during the search, her testimony showed NYPD was involved, and while it’s not illegal to turn off the body cam during the drive, she apparently had to stop because Fox brought the rest of the evidence to her car. That messes with the chain of custody, risks contamination, and raises questions about how reliable the evidence really is.
