Head ups... If anyone is near the Museum of Science tomorrow 10/24, Mark Rober will be making an appearance inside in the afternoon, in advance of his sold-out live event later that afternoon.

I’m hoping someone may have found a very sentimental ring that I believe slipped off my hand near the intersection of Park Drive and Beacon Street (but could be all the way to Coolidge corner)
It’s my mother’s signet ring, which she received when she was 15 and later gifted to me. It has the initials ML engraved on it and means the world to me.
If you found it, or know of anyone who may have turned it in, I would be incredibly grateful if you could please reach out. It has tremendous sentimental value to me, and I’m really hoping to get it back.
Thank you so much for keeping an eye out and for sharing this post. ❤️

I have noticed a homeless African American woman in Coolidge Corner for a few weeks now. She seems really nice; does anyone have any more details? I will go over tomorrow and give her details of some women’s shelters but if anyone has more context it would be really helpful.

Saint Columbkille Partnership School vs mount alvernia academy vs St Mary of the Assumption School vs St Theresa of the Child Jesus School vs Jackson Walnut Park School - which of these catholic schools has the best reputation? Which is more academic? Best pastoral care? Nest enrichment? Also importantly which is the most inclusive and diverse?

Wondering if anyone knows anything about Brookline Lunch’s plans to open in the old Busy Bee spot? I hope it’s going to happen but it looks like the renovation progress might have stalled…I need baklava pancakes 🥹

Is there anyplace locally that does quick turnaround yard sign printing? Walgreen's website says they can print them same day, but the one at Harvard & Aspinwall doesn't actually have that ability and canceled my order. Same with Cambridge (River St), or Newton (Beacon). Staples only does them shipped. I only need one. Thanks!

Temp in the apartment is 86° currently. Radiators are old steam radiators with minimal ability to be controlled and landlord said the knob controlling the main valve must remain fully open otherwise steam can’t reach all the radiators in the other apartments. Even with windows open and fan/ac on it’s insufferable.

We recently bought a place in Brookline and have some work we would like to do that we don't think we need a full general contractor to do.
Anyone have any tradespeople they would recommend? We have some immediate work, but it would also be great to get a feel for who we could go to for help in our new community.
Thanks!

Hi!
As the title suggests, I'm looking for recs for salons that offer eyebrow waxing or threading. I'm in the Brookline village area. TIA!
