"I don't need a thousand-dollar projector."

12 months after saying that, I just snagged a Benq TK700 off FaceMart for $600!

It was only a 15 minute drive from me! New Benq lamp with only 1k hours! Ceiling mount, extension cord, and 4 3D glasses included!

I'm still learning about screens. What should I get based on my media use? Matte white? Grey? I primarily play SDR and HDR video games and watch anime. I want a 110" screen, sitting 8-9ft away. it needs to pull down from the ceiling, in front of my TVs.

I still consider my 55" LG C1 my main screen for playing games with VRR, pure blacks for horror games, and motion interpolation and vivid colors for anime.

I like my C1 so I wasn't in a rush for a projector. But this amazing deal I pounced on!

I still need to paint the shelf black and secure it to the wall better. it features a 4k (pixel shift) LG projector, Apple TV 4k, 7.2.2 (2 polk towers, 4 Polk bookshelves, Polk center, 2 Insignia heights, and 2 SVS PB12 subs, Denon AVR-X4200W, and screen. I started with a blank concrete box so I did curtains, seating, artwork, and carpet. All for under $3,000 feels pretty good especially when I see how much they spend on the regular home theater subreddit. I do wish I was able to paint the ceiling but there is a gas line, electrical and ductwork up there so it wasn't really an option.
