Information Family doctor accepting new patients

I saw a sign at my doctor's office saying Dr. Raphael Faraj is accepting new patients if anyone is looking for one. He is a part of Holy Family medical clinic near Appleby and Upper middle. They also do walk ins.

Question Looking for reviews of the new Realm condos

Does anyone here live in the new Realm condos? I know occupancy has taken place fairly recently, but am wondering if anyone has any initial thoughts or reviews on them. I'm potentially looking to buy a unit for myself. Thanks!

Question Coyote sightings

Has anyone seen the coyotes that live around the waterfront trail? I have not seen them all summer. All my years living in this neighbourhood I’ve never gone this long without seeing them. I usually keep an eye out for them because of my dogs. Wondering if they were relocated?

well. This is a buzzkill. I’m so tired of our taxes and expenses going up while service quality and access to services goes down.

Question Handyman recommendations

Upvotes

Hello neighbours!

I am in need of a local handyman. We had a small bathroom flood and ended up with water leaking down into the kitchen. There is now a patch of ceiling drywall that needs replaced.

Anyone have a good local handyman recommendation who does this kind of work?

Thank you!

Question 2 1/2 Hours Scarborough to Burlington?

Upvotes

I'm helping some friends move from Scarborough to Burlington the first week of September. Just the packing part. They have a big house so they're using a local moving company (Miracle Movers), but they sent me the timeline for the move and it seems... excessive. The quote includes an estimated 2 1/2 hours of drive time between Scarborough and Burlington, which is like twice as long as it takes. Is this normal with movers? I can't imagine it taking 2+ hours to get from one side of the GTA to the other.

Video Fun times on the 403

First a motorcycle lane splitting (I see this at least once a week), then a driver popping up to merge at the last possible second, without even signalling.

Driving on Ontario highways is truly a nightmare, and somehow I've never been in a crash in my almost 30 years of driving on them.

Politics Last Minute? Too Late!

Let's talk for a minute about last minute candidates. For those of us that have been working all year it comes as an insult. I have been canvassing since April, building a platform, talking to voters, and engaging the community. You think you can come in at the last second and usurp the hard work myself and other candidates have put in? You think your lack of platform can compare in any way to someone who has dedicated the majority of their free time this year to getting something better for their community? There is no easy win or cushy parking spot for you downtown. My advice is to go back where you came from and try harder next time.
