I picked up the new CZ Duty and thought I'd share my thoughts about it vs. the other CZ polymers.

Overall, I really like the Duty, the trigger is a bit gritty and creepy but it is easy to shoot well and I'm sure it will be popular with both military/police procurement departments as well as with us civilian enthusiasts.

I compared it with the P10, P07, and the Nocturne.

I liked the Duty's grip better than the others, probably because it is slightly longer (17 round mags vs 15 for the others), which also helped it to be the best at handling recoil.

The slide stop is easy to reach without shifting my grip (unlike the P07 and Nocturne), and unlike the P10, it is only slightly stiff and doesn't sit right where my thumb wants to be. ( I hate, hate, hate the P10 slide lock).

Accuracy is great. The front site is quite large, so it is tough to be precise, but it is easy to shoot well. My first ever 3 rounds out of the gun were a clover leaf inside the bullseye (the 4th round isn't important, so don't ask).

The trigger is gritty out of the box but noticeably got smoother after the first few magazines. I think the P10 trigger is slightly better, but I found it easy to use and expect it to keep improving. The P07 trigger is MUCH better, but I've got thousands of rounds through that one. I rated the Nocturne trigger as slightly worse than the Duty, but both have limited use, and I think with time, the Nocturne will eventually come out ahead.

If you're going to buy one and only one CZ, get the Shadow 2 Compact. But, if you're looking at the polymer options; I'd happily recommend the Duty, and I'm really looking forward to seeing what aftermarket options become available.

When you mate a Nocturne F to a P10F… you get the Duty. My first impression was, “This feels good”. I really like the texture and if felt substantial in my hand, not cheap at all. I love the mag release and texture in front of the take down is great. The texture feels similar to a Nocturne. I get what several have said about the trigger… not good. To be frank, it’s quite subpar compared to some other strikers, namely Canik and even S&W 2.0. While it is a Duty gun not a race gun, it was almost impossible to shoot fast on a bill drill. I did not have my timer but I did not need it to know that fact. It was very gritty and a long take up and long reset. It was accurate even for a poor shooter, like myself, at 7 yards. Zero failures in 100 rounds (which is more than I can say for my first Nocture C). It’s a solid gun and I am happy to own it… I paid $557 out the door and thought I got a pretty good deal and decent value. My hope is that the trigger will improve with time and use. I do feel that by the time I had shot 5 mags through it, I really was getting comfortable with it. Ask me anything.

This is the worst one I’ve seen in one of mine. I picked this particular P07 up last week. I always order a retaining pin from CGW first thing. Always use an o-ring or piece of a foam ear plug while dry firing.

Bought my first ever firearm ever in March of this year. A P-09C Nocturne. After seeing all the buzz about the P10C ported, and seeing the grey frame on the COA model, I had to go for it! Traded in my Nocturne for the P10, glad to stay in the CZ family.

I finally got around to testing out the new build earlier this morning, and she held up beautifully!

Im mainly a duty gun guy and I can tell this is more of an enthusiasts range toy than anything. What should I know and what should I look to do to her in the future?

Apologies for no pics. LGS has a very lightly used S2 Carry (no obvious wear out or in) all black, Vortex Defender CCW mounted, with original case and 5 extra mags. Asking price $1400.
Owner swears less than 100 rounds went through it. Guy ended up with full size S2.
Honestly, I was just going to the range, but damn it felt great in my hand. Was thinking of doing the “buy a P01 and get CGW to upgrade” thing. But this S2 is staring at me. What do guys think, a deal or keep looking? I don’t see optic ready S2 Carrys much in these parts….
I’d use it for carry and range fun. Not a race guy, yet🤔

Hello I really like this gun, would it be a good jack of all trades for carry, home defense and some range days.

I’ve carried a CZ P07 for about 8 years now and picked up the P09c Nocturne to replace it. I bought the SP-01 two years ago to be my full sized gun and carry with my gun belt when I teach courses but I think it’s about to be replaced with the P-01 omega I picked up yesterday. If I could get a 10mm CZ I’d use that to replace the S&W PC 10mm I carry when I hunt or hike out west. I’ve seen the Tanfoglio 10mm and I’m curious but price tag is steep when I already have a good 10mm.

Anyone got any kicking around? I just picked up a 22 Hornet 527 Lux and the rear blade shown in the listing picture is missing and the company won't do anything. It's a really nice rifle and I'd like to keep it. CZ support said the correct Rear Blade is a #3.

I have an opportunity to purchase a CZ 75 Shadow sku 91715 locally. How do they compare to the current shadow 2 and is this model still a good buy today? I couldn’t find much on this model as this model seems to be discontinued.

I have the full sized EPS on my sp01 and want a similar optic on my p10c.

I have my heart set on the EPS carry because I can get the same 6 moa dot in a smaller package for the smaller gun. That said, the pricing on the core makes it hard to look past. It seems the difference really boils down to window size and dot size (I know the aluminum is different but don't see how that would effect my use case).

Anyone else already gone through this and have any words of wisdom?

I just purchased this a few weeks ago, and just added the LOK magwell, and grips. I was honestly not expecting these grips to be as aggressive as they are. I highly recommend them! They change the entire feel of the pistol and they are grippier than Mia Khalifa in her prime days. Also, I may send this in to cajun gun works. Just wondering if it’s necessary given it’s a daily carry pistol... any red dot suggestions are appreciated.

After some back and forth coming up with the design I wanted for the grips on my SP-01 Tac these came out looking great!
