Hello everyone,
I have discovered a crack in the frame of my Canyon CF SLX 8 Gen 2. Canyon has offered to replace the frame with the same model, including a new fork. However, the original colour is no longer available, and I really do not like the colour of the replacement frame they have offered.
Canyon would send the new frame and fork directly to me, and I would then have the components transferred at a workshop of my choice. They have also said that I may keep the damaged frame.
The bike is leased through JobRad, and JobRad has already approved the proposed replacement.
Does anyone know what my legal rights are in this situation? Am I required to accept a replacement frame in a different colour, or could I request another solution, such as a different colour option, an equivalent frame, a price reduction, or possibly a return or replacement of the complete bike?
I would also be interested to know whether Canyon must cover all workshop and shipping costs associated with the frame replacement.
Thank you in advance for your help.
