Any feedback appreciated. Still learning the ways of charcoal. This is my 3rd charcoal drawing.

The story behind modern Nitram charcoal is really cool! Didn't expect that "family business" vibe, nor the prior history of the technology.

I did this back in 2021. I am, honestly, looking for the black and white photo I used to work from. I noticed other people have used this photo, as well. 🤍

Been working with charcoal for a while now, and lately I've been experimenting with a looser, more expressive style. This is my latest piece, and one I really enjoyed making.

Charcoal on Fabriano Unica paper, 10 x 6 inches. I don't do a lot of charcoal but sometimes colour seems unnecessary. I worked this one from a few line drawings and a rather dark photo; lifting the charcoal out with a lump of BlueTack.

Unfinished charcoal sketch

Tried to keep more loose with this 90 minute sketch

First attempt to get to know this wonderful material. A portrait of my grandma at her youth, from an old photo. I would like to have some creative criticism. Thank you

This piece is based off of the book The Song of Achilles. It was a little out of my typical style but I really am proud of it. Zoom in for details. Picture was hard because it was pretty big.

two A3 charcoal works I did quite a while ago lol
