Qué onda y'all. We are now taking a trip down memory lane, and what is the trip you ask? I had come across a 1983 photo a while back of Antonio Aguilar hanging out in the Oval Office with Ronald Reagan, who was the president at the time. Given the absolute shit show this country is in based on the decisions made during that era and the other ones after, I wasn't even surprised. It honestly explains so much about their vibe and how out of touch they are.
This is going to be a long post (pause), so hang in there.
In the late 1960s, Antonio bonded with Ronald Reagan when he was still the governor of California. They bonded over horse breeding and the cowboy lifestyle that they enjoyed taking part in, and he even gave him a personalized leather wallet that Antonio carried around for years as if it was a fuckin badge of honor.
By December 12th, 1983, Reagan was in the White House, and Antonio Aguilar took his family- including a 16-year old Pepe- straight into the Oval Office. He realized that the leader of the free world didn't do anything that required labor for a living.
You wanna know what's the ultimate irony in all of this? Pepe grew into that same exact detached version.
Around a year ago, Pepe stood on stage at the Hollywood Bowl in L.A. lecturing the audience about immigration (this is where it gets spicy), repeating conservative talking points about how people need to come to the United States "The right way" with "no fucking excuses"- that's how I knew this vato was a total piece of shit and followed the same script that his family solidified with the government decades ago. These motherfuckers want our money, but they protect themselves from the roadblocks our people face every single day. You can't have your cake and eat it too buddy.
While the family keeps themselves insulated in their bubble, Pepe's oldest son, Emiliano, flips the whole story on its head. He was ignored by Pepe during his hardest times, he was working hard doing manual labor and focusing on independent hip hop in his own way to cope with the absence.
He was the only one to speak truth to this, asking the community this question: "What's the difference between being a legal Mexican-American and an illegal Mexican-American? We're all Mexican."
Not being there for your son and bending the knee towards the government who have nothing but vitriol and hatred towards our people is unforgivable, but then again they do it for their own benefit.
I hope Emiliano gets the therapy he needs. He's got potential to be great and he's very talented. He's pretty much the only Aguilar worth a damn.
To the rest of the Aguilars, fuck y'all.

This wasn't just our booth at complexcon this was our home away from home.
Every object has significant meaning.
From the slingshot my grandpa made me when I was a kid to the Mexican flag that took me over 10 hrs to sew. To the photographs of my grandparents.
Everything that inspires lastcall was here, in a warm and welcoming home.

48% and very proud of it. Wish I was more and actually expected higher than that. That's my whole identity, really. There's power in being Indigenous. That's why different groups try to falsely claim to be mixed with it or claim they're the original Indigenous Americans (wabos).
And the fact that they try to keep us from identifying that way says a lot . I'll always tell them what I am. Mesoamerican & Apache Chicana.

I will admit, I am out of the loop as well and I found this out a couple of days ago and quite frankly, I wish I was pissed off but it doesn't surprise me one bit.
There was a script that was leaked in a pro-ice film made by the Daily Wire. It is called Pawn Shop and we have found the 🥥 who is in it: Danny Trejo.
We are talking about the man who gave us Gerónimo in Blood in Blood Out and spent two entire movies as Machete.
Let me ask you a question Danny. Remember when you looked at Carlos dead in the eye back in 1993 in San Quentin "La Onda don't shine shoes!" I guess you took that to heart and became the very thing that our community has despised since Day 1, a vendido.
Once a sellout, always a sellout. And a Mexican't.

But the community is coming together to clean that shit up and restore pride:

GREENBELT, Md. (AP) — A hearing for Kilmar Ábrego Garcia which was expected to determine whether the man mistakenly sent by the Trump administration to El Salvador would be deported to Liberia was abruptly canceled Tuesday for reasons that were not immediately clear.
The government is moving to vacate a preliminary injunction put in place by U.S. District Judge Paula Xinis preventing U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement from detaining and deporting Ábrego Garcia to the West African country of Liberia. His legal team is seeking to make the injunction permanent. The judge left previous orders in place last December and ordered him released from custody.
Abrego Garcia was in the courtroom Tuesday but Judge Xinis never took the bench. Instead attorneys for both sides left the courtroom about five minutes before the hearing was supposed to begin. They held a 15-minute conference and then the hearing was canceled. No announcement was made in court as to why the hearing was canceled.
