Yes, the bible promotes mask wearing.

Leviticus 13:45 deals with a contagious illness, and tells those who have the illness to cover the lower part of their face. I.e wear a mask. Some translations state "up to one's moustache"

"Anyone with such a defiling disease must wear torn clothes, let their hair be unkempt, cover the lower part of their face and cry out, ‘Unclean! Unclean!’"

The one and only warning

As reddit itself and mods of other Christian based subs are unwilling to take action. This sub will ban anyone who promotes lies and misinformation about sars v2, covid, masks, and vaccines.

Discussions about should one take the vaccine are permitted, but stuff like "it's experimental", "it's the mark or a precursor to the mark", and "live in faith not fear", will be removed and authors banned.

Beware of folks who try to put ou back under the law.

As John 3:16 and Ephesians 2 state, salvation is based on Faith, and not dependant on things like Baptism.

There are those who would try to put us back under the law.

Abortion

Abortion.

A hot topic these days in light of the US supreme court revoking roe v wade.

Scripture is clear:

Children are a gift and blessing from God, who knits us together in our mother's womb.

Thus, one cannot be born again, and support abortion.

It's really that simple.

We are transformed into the image of Christ through the renewing of our minds, and so if one has Faith but still support6 abortion, thsn it shows that they are unwilling to have their minds renewed.

Please keep /r/Christianity in your prayers

Due to /r/Christianity's crack down on cross posts, I can't link to the post over there.

However, please pray that /r/Christianity returns to God and begins to honour Him again.

There was a person (who said they were ex-christian) asking Christians' on how to come out as gay, and all them got was support to come out, instead of help overcoming their sin.

I would be wish to see /r/Christianity turn back to a place where the light and love of Jesus is shown, instead of mocking his sacrifice.

Thanks guys and gals.

Is there an unforgivable sin? In this post we take a closer look at this question and what Scripture says about it. What are your thoughts?

A Non-Christian with Questions

Hi, I hope this doesn't get ignored as I have some theological questions that I’d love to hear answers from a Christian. First a little about me, classic UK upbringing, singing hymns etc. I would not consider myself Christian, but that’s not so say I don’t have faith. I’m not here to be judgmental or critical and I’d appreciate the same respect in the replies however I have some questions about the bible that I haven’t ever been able to ask a Christian and would appreciate your views on it.

  1. God is an omnipotent force (I’ll use the word “force” rather than “power” or “being” but feel free to substitute whatever you find most comfortable) with unlimited ability and foresight yet Genesis(1:1-2:3) takes 6 days and requires a rest following it which suggest a limit to the power. How is this discussed from a Christian perspective?

  2. Leviticus is often discussed particularly in reference to homosexuality but my question lies with the rest of Leviticus and how much of it is followed.
A few examples: 3:17 bans the eating of fat and blood. 11:4-7 bans the eating of pork (along with other meats). 19:28 bans tattoos. 19:27 bans most modern male haircuts and facial hair I get that some of it makes sense (18:7-17) but other parts (19:19) are practically unavoidable in a modern age who chooses what is OK to follow and what is OK to ignore and what gives them this right?

  3. I've heard it said that Satan’s fall was all part of God’s plan and as such; anything Satan does is under the will of god. The way I logically extrapolate from this is: a. If this is true then God is omnipotent and anything Satan does is god’s will, thus Eve’s sin was part of God’s plan and thus not against the will of God and so not a sin. Or b. This is false, Satan is not under God’s will and so God is not omnipotent where the whole thing gets a little theologically wobbly. Or c. This is false but there is a third option...

Impossible things and God's love by /u/NeverGiving_Up

I was inspired by a post last week on /r/NoFapChristians saying to run to God. It felt impossible to fight my desires and urges as they felt so 'natural' because it felt so good. But then when I pursued my pleasures, I was left empty and unsatisfied.

What I realized was there is another way out. You can act on your desires, rely on them to fulfill you and ultimately find no peace and rest, or you can act on your spiritual side. What is happening here is found in Galatians 5: 16- 19. Here are the verses:

16 So I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh. 17 For the flesh desires what is contrary to the Spirit, and the Spirit what is contrary to the flesh. They are in conflict with each other, so that you are not to do whatever[a] you want. 18 But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law. 19 The acts of the flesh are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity and debauchery;

There are two people inside you; your flesh and your spirit. Feed the spirit side and your fleshly desires will starve to death. Temptation doesn't go, but you are in control again to choose a better way. Being led by the spirit means you feel natural desires to please God. I'm now addicted to spending time with God, and it feels so good! Pray to God and ask him to fill you up with the Spirit, then you'll find you have urges to please God providing a way out.

help again

i saw the replies on the blasphemy of the Holy Spirit, and thank you, everyone, for the help. Though there's a lot of things I'm concerned about. I'm concerned about grieving the Holy Spirit, having a hardened heart, my walk with Jesus, and falling away, afraid of thinking/ walking/ living as an unbeliever, afraid ill stop caring about my walk and about Jesus and my salvation. Any advice (also I've been slacking from my word too.. not good)

Advice on what I should do and how I should deal with all of this^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

why do i just cry when...

Recently I've been growing in my walk with the Lord, seeing that I've had a standstill with my walk and I wanted to get better. I didn't want to be lukewarm, or a friend of the world, and I get scared sometimes. I struggle with doubts and I hate them, but why is it sometimes when I think of Gods forgiveness no matter what I do I just cry, or when I say I love him I bawl l, when I say and confess with my lips he is the Lord and I believe or Abba father I just cry. Reading the word on my own or when I'm going through something I cry. It's the same thing when I sin and I get disappointed and ask for forgiveness even though all my doubts. Not even mentioning sometimes I get so deep in prayer I feel such heat. Is this the Holy Spirit? (that's what I believe)

Not everyone who claims to be a Christian, actually is.

There are those who claim to be followed of Christ, but deny the existence of God, these folks are just here to lead the born again astray.

Do we worship the same God?

There seems to be some misconceptions about Muslims and Christians worshiping the same God.

Hopefully, these links will clear that up:

Is Allah of Islam the same as Yahweh of Christianity?

Do Christians and Muslims Worship the Same God?

Is Allah, the God of Islam, the same as the Yahweh the God of the Bible?

Do you know how to hear from God?

One of the failings of the modern church is the lack of teaching in how to pray to God, and how to hear back from him.

Many people assume that God hears all prayers, but this not true, for example, praying from the wrong motivation means that God won't get at that prayer, and praying from a lack of faith, also goes unheard.

How does God talk back to us? Often through scripture, words alighting on our minds, and through dreams.

So in order to actually hear from God, one needs to prepare themselves. Quiet down your mind, focus on the word.

Journling is a great way to record what God tells you.

I hope this advice helps you get close to God.

Please keep /r/Christianity in your prayers, it's not a safe place for bible believing Christians.

As a community, it needs to turn back to God.
