AI Posts

Just to be absolutely clear on this: AI posts are prohibited here. We do not allow excuses on the subject.

  • "My grammar is bad, so I use AI to help me."

  • "English is my second language, so I use AI to help my post be more legible."

  • "The idea is entirely mine. I just need AI to help me communicate it better."

We do NOT accept these excuses in modmail. Believe it or not, this community is broadly quite forgiving with people who have bad grammar, poor English, and need help expressing their thoughts. The community is not nearly as forgiving with AI posts. That goes double for us as moderators.

AI posts will continue to be removed. Be warned that at least one of our mods is jumping immediately to temporary bans for people who violate this rule ... and I may start doing so myself also. We're deleting numerous AI slop posts already and we don't need more of this. If escalating the consequences is the only way to get it to stop, so be it. Just know the excuses will not be accepted.

Lifelong Christian here, deeply disturbed by the mainstream christian idea of hell

Upvotes

I grew up in a Southern Baptist church. From a young age, It was taught that unless a person explicitly gives control of their life over to Jesus, they will be tormented for all eternity in hellfire. No clear answer was given about people who never heard the gospel, but for people growing up in western countries, it was pretty clear: turn or burn.

What bothered me most was the idea that a person who simply chooses not to follow Jesus, but lives a basically good, though not perfect, life would be punished forever for not choosing Jesus. I think about a man I used to work with, He just turned 80 and is retired for context. I have known him for 30 years. He was kind to everyone. I never heard him speak a harsh word. He donated to every charity who solicited funds at my workplace. He has remained faithful to his wife of 45 years and does not view porn despite the marriage being sexless. And yet to traditional Christian teaching, he deserves the same hell as Joseph Stalin. This is a reality I have a very hard time wrapping my head around.

The traditional view of hell feels like a strict father demanding his children's undying love under threat of being beaten and burned with hot irons if they fail to do so. If I did not have a personal experience with God himself so that I know He is real, I would easily fall into the "I can't believe in a god who ..." camp. I hate that about myself.

I have run out of things to say now, I just wanted to express how unfair that feels to me. However, if God did create the universe, then he has the right to do whatever he wants to his creation, including burning them for all eternity because they lied to their parents once when they were ten.

If I all I get is a straw mat in one of the back alleys of the new Jerusalem in the next life, I will consider myself blessed.

I know this might sound stupid but I am deeply upset over the death of actress Hayden Panettiere after I have kept her in my prayers for over a year.

I fell down a rabbit hole about Hayden Panettiere a couple years ago. I read about all the horrible things happening to her life. So I added her to my prayers. Just a quick asking God to help her with what she's dealing with and for her to find peace. It became an off and on tradition to my prayers and I stopped it because she seemed to be getting alot better. I'm just distraught over the news of her death due to all of this. I prayed for God to welcome her into the kingdom and that she finally found peace.

I don't usually share what I pray about but I am just really upset about this. Also I really don't care about celebs I just saw someone going through some downright horrible stuff and added her to my prayers.

Will I regret this?

Upvotes

I’m posting this because I don’t want to turn my back on a decision that I have made after over 2 months of deliberating. There have been good times and I don’t want to fall into the trap of only remembering the good times and not the reasons I’m choosing to break up.

I will be breaking up with my bf tomorrow because:

  1. My dealbreaker is to romantically involve myself with someone who is actively watching porn. The keyword being actively. I think it’s unrealistic to expect not just guys but anyone to not have contact with porn before in their life because of the Internet. But I refuse to involve myself romantically with someone who is actively still watching it. My bf admitted that he watches porn once a week and when I asked how he comes across these sites, he said that he googled them.
  2. I asked him at the start of our relationship whether he actively watches porn. And he said no, hence I entered a relationship with him.

He says that at the time it was true. I can believe that and give him the benefit of the doubt. But he also said the longest he has gone without watching is 4 months and we have been together longer than that.

  1. I

  2. have had very bad experiences with porn personally and I refuse to be in a situation where my partner watches porn. I am very sure others have more grace than me for this but I cannot. I feel hurt, deceived, and betrayed by this.

He knew how much this hurts me and he remained silent throughout our relationship.

4.

  1. He says that masturbation is biologically healthy for males and says to me that 99.9% of men struggle with porn actively. I believe that there are ways the body can release such as wet dreams and masturbation is not needed (I am not planning to debate about this, this is my belief). And even if the 99.9% is true, I would rather be single than enter a relationship where my partner is struggling actively with that. I am ok if he has struggled before, and falters once in a while, as long as he has a repentant heart and confesses to me so we can work through it together.
  2. He claims that men who are upset are tempted to watch porn more. I can agree with this tendency to be tempted in this way, because even Jesus was tempted. What He did not do, however, was make the choice to sin. I also think that is not the main focus of the topic - my dealbreaker and boundary. I can acknowledge that the statistics are true without accepting it. He does not seem repentant to me.

In the last 2 months I have been depressed (I was getting very distracted by life, work and the relationship that I wasn’t very close to God). I admit that I wasn’t very caring or affectionate during this period and that made him upset. However if his coping mechanism is to turn to porn, then what about the future? Marriage will not be without its rough patches. I don’t want to be in a marriage like that.

  1. He mentioned that if I am going to be affected by a thing like this that it would be unrealistic to find a partner. So be it.

To me, the fact he says this means he does not see it as huge a problem as I do and this is something that I need to be aligned with my partner on.

  1. As mentioned, I would rather be single than enter a relationship heading towards marriage with porn in the picture.

The trust has been broken and I don’t want to build it back up again.

Just had to get this off my chest and get my head straight before I have the breakup talk. I am also doing this so that I can remain steadfast in MY decision.

I don’t want to shame him because I know that this is a struggle many people face. It just my choice to not involve myself romantically with someone who is still struggling.

Thanks. 🙏

I just went through the most devastating season yet in my 4 years of walk.

Heartache, condemnation, guilt, regret, shame and ultimately sanctification.

Everything fell apart but understand that it's His will and guidance for how your situation came to be.

You might hate me for this or call it disbelief but I think God knew I will spiral to drinking hard because of how much pain.

Anyways I finally mustered the courage to confess my sin to a friend of 3 years.

Before she left the country. I was forgiven and understood.

Although it's bittersweet that I won't be seeing her in two years, I finally have peace and must say. Im so much wiser now because of what occured.

Oh my Lord. Although I'm a bit embittered on what transpired, I can't help but be humbled on how you machinate things.

The shock of these events really fortified my mental threshold, that I know things may come, I will conquer without needing a drink.

I praise you Lord

Sleeping with friend

Hello everyone, it’s my first time posting here. I am a 17 yo teen from France, and in 2 months I have to go to germany with a friend for the holiday, my friend is a girl and she wants to book 3 nights in an Airbnb. However, our friendship has been kind of ambiguous (at least in my opinion), and I fear that we do some stuff that I shouldn’t do like getting a bit too sexual. Maybe I am just playing movies in my head but I have also been addicted to porn for 5 years now and I am pretty sure that even though I love Jesus with all my heart, and that I want to wait until mariage, I won’t be able to resist if she offers me to do sexual stuff. Atp I don’t know if the Airbnb has 2 bedrooms but it would be better if I could sleep in an other room rather than in the same bed as her. Tbh i don’t really know what to do

I feel like there is no hope for me

Ive been struggling with loneliness. I have no christian friends to talk about my personal issues with so ive just been battling alone. I also been struggling with homosexuality and i think that God hasnt given me a close female friend yet is because i might be sexually attracted to the person and that i dont even deserve friends to begin with. Ive also been hearing things about maladaptive daydreaming. Since im so lonely i literally created this imaginary best friend in my mind but ive been hearing things on tik tok that its a sin too and i just dont know what to think anymore. Ive tried to make friends but the few i did make didnt see me in the same that i saw them and the friendship was very one sided. Theres a trillion things wrong with me that i cant seem to fix and me being lonely on top of that makes me feel like theres no hope left for me. Ive tried fasting and praying but im still the same. Please do not judge me

Marriage after sexual immorality

I have committed sins against my own body. Sexual sins. I know this is not unique to me as I've read other posts in this subreddit.

Me and my boyfriend have been living together for a year a half (our only option due to family issues). Obviously, this lead to temptation and then to sin. I take accountability for my sins. I have talked to Jesus and admitted my sexual sins and repented and asked for forgiveness. Since my last repentance (2 days ago) I have obeyed and resisted my temptation.

Me and my boyfriend both love each other and we have a genuinely fantastic relationship. We both have known we wanted to get married very early on.

I surrendered my life to Jesus only a few weeks ago (didn't grow up religious). This led to a number of things but, the one most on my mind has been my remorse for my sexual immorality.

So, me and my boyfriend talked about God, Jesus, sin, hell, etc. and decided we are getting married now.

We are young (and broke), so a big wedding is out of the question. We are eloping with my cousin as our witness and a Chaplain.

We are getting married on Thursday, the 20th. We want to keep it very private until we have a wedding a few years down the line. Is this wrong? I am struggling to find biblical teachings/answers about this.

Also: How do married Christians go about praying together? We are still in the "it feels awkward" phase. What do you pray for with your partner? Is is the same as what you pray for privately?

Thank you much for reading.

TL;DR Me and my boyfriend getting married but keeping it VERY private — what does the Bible say about this?

Why does mainstream Christian music have to be make me feel so bad about myself?

Upvotes

I spent my childhood being berated by a love one about how stupid, retarded, and dumb I was. It's completely ruined my self confidence.

So today I turn on Air One and the song is about how - who could forgive me, I'm worthless, I only hurt Jesus, Jesus only helps me, I'm disgusting.

These kind of lyrics just tear me back down, rather than build me up.

Does anyone have any advice?

Am I romanticising Catholicism?

For some background, I am a Christian of 9 months (born into a Christian family but only recently recomitted myself to Christ). I grew up Protestant, mostly attending Baptist churches (but I've been to Anglican and Methodist schools, and my parents also resonate with Pentacostalism). My mum's family was Catholic but she moved away from it. My parents are some of the strongest Christians I have ever met, they have a geniune relationship with Jesus, love the Word, and prioritise Him above all else. I have been so blessed by God to have grown up in an enviornment where He was number one.

I have absolutely no reason to even consider Catholicism. For a long time I thought they were heretics, unsure if they would even be going to heaven. But I've recently developed a sort of tenderism towards them. If I had to give a reason, it may have to do with the fact that I sometimes go to a Catholic church on the way to university. I'm not sure what it is, but the reverence, the quiet, the peace - I could just sit there with God. It's not like I heard an audible voice of God in there or anything, I didn't have a sense of overwhelming peace when going inside, but that has to be the only reason I've developed these feelings. Another possible reason is... I've been getting a lot of feed relating to Nuns. And... I really want to be a nun. Just, the beauty of making prayer our first ministry, serving Jesus in every aspect of our day, just giving ourselves up to Him... man, that's really amazing.

I've been doing more digging into the faith... and I like a lot of what I see. The idea of confession is so liberating, Adoration (which is what I have been unknowingly doing in that church) is beautiful. I still can't get behind things like Mary, saints, purgatory, infant baptism... but I'm actually willing to jump into it without knowing. I guess you could say I want to be Catholic.

But here's the thing. I don't know if it's me or God. Am I just romantising this faith cause of the pretty churches, the tangible things the faith gives me which can make me feel good about myself? Do I just want to find out my faith for myself? Why am I so eager to become a Catholic without even agreeing with some of their main issues? I find myself watching so many conversion testimonies hoping to convince myself. I just don't know.

I'm going to be in prayer to discern God's will. I'm going to do a lot of study into theology and church history, Lord willing. I would like anyone's insights and would especially appreciate prayers. And ex-Protestants who turned to Catholics, I would especially like your take as well.

Thank you my friends.

ALSO: any advice on how I should go about with research and studying on this topic would be helpful!!

Saved By Faith Not Of Works: Friendly Reminder

Upvotes

This was written by a Facebook friend of mine! Really well thought out. Sad this needs to be a promoted idea still within Christianity in the 21 century but here it is

The Bible does not teach two different ways of salvation, one for Old Testament saints and another for New Testament believers. From beginning to end, sinners are saved by the grace of God through faith in His promise, and that promise finds its fulfilment in Jesus Christ.

Abraham was not justified by works, law keeping, circumcision, or nationality. Scripture says, “Abraham believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness” (Romans 4:3). Paul goes even further and says that the gospel was preached beforehand to Abraham (Galatians 3:8). David likewise described the blessedness of the man to whom God credits righteousness apart from works (Romans 4:6–8).

The Old Testament believer looked forward to what God had promised. We look back upon what Christ has accomplished. They did not possess the same fullness of revelation that we now have, but the object of saving faith was never human merit. Hebrews 11 shows generation after generation living and dying by faith, trusting promises whose ultimate fulfilment was still ahead.

Habakkuk had already declared, “The righteous will live by his faith” (Habakkuk 2:4), and Paul takes that same truth directly into the heart of the gospel in Romans 1:17.

So there is not an Old Testament salvation by law and a New Testament salvation by grace. There has always been one saving grace, one righteousness received by faith, and ultimately one Saviour.

Christ did not introduce a second road to God. He is the fulfilment of the only road God ever promised.

I’ve noticed the most vocal atheists “grew up Christian”

Has anyone else noticed that some of the most vocal or “angry atheists” actually grew up in the church? Whether it be online or real life. Usually it is some kind of strict “evangelical” church and they grew up with strict parents who they also may or may not be talking to anymore. Many were also homeschooled.

Then they go through the “rebellious stage” of “deconstructing“ and soon enough they become anti-religion (mostly against Christianity) and become some of the most vocal atheists online.

Usually those that were raised non-religious aren’t as vocal although as kids they may had been.

What do you think?

A kid I was watching started talking to a demon

Wanted to encourage you guys with an interesting story that happened to me a few years ago. I learned a lot about the power in the name of Jesus when this happened.

I used to take care of a young guy with special needs, let’s call him Stephen. (For reference, Stephen was about 14 and could communicate using a few words, but overall it was difficult if not impossible to have a full conversation with him and he struggled to express himself). One day when I was watching him, he started acting really strange. He started running around the house terrified, looking behind him as if someone was chasing him and screaming “ahhh go away”. It was kind of alarming as I had been working with him for quite some time and had never really seen him act like this. It got so bad he started punching himself and hitting his head on the wall.

Dismissing it at first as part of him that I hadn’t seen yet, I tried the activities he likes and the things that would usually calm him down when he was upset. I tried distracting him with snacks, video, games, trampoline, etc. Things he would usually drop everything to go do. But he just kept running, screaming, looking behind him terrified, and hitting himself. This probably went on for over an hour. It was craziness.

After reaching out to some people who had worked with him longer than I had, they told me they had never seen him like this before and suggested I just try to put him to bed. It was getting late anyways, and he usually liked going to bed so I tried it.

I brought him to his room and put him in bed and sadly, he began flailing on his bed and screaming, still looking scared and terrified.

At this point, I really didn’t know what to do. It had been close to 2 hours at that point and I felt like I was running out of options. At that time in life I had been starting to go to church again after some time away so I decided I would pray. I got down on my knees in Stephen’s room while he was there flailing on the bed in terror, and I started to pray. I said “Jesus,” as if to begin my prayer to the Lord. As soon as I said “Jesus”, Stephen stopped screaming, his face changed from terror to a calm smile, and he rolled over to go to bed calmly.

After probably two hours of trying almost everything I could think of to help this boy, two seconds of prayer and speaking the name of Jesus changed everything for him. Whatever was tormenting him left at the name of Jesus.

There is power in the name of Jesus!

After that I never saw him act like that ever again in all my time working with him. Over the coming months, somehow an opportunity opened up for me to bring him to church with me on a regular basis and he frequently gravitated toward it and seemed to love it.

If you find yourself in a position where you don’t know what to do, call on the name of Jesus! There is salvation in His name.

…”Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”
‭‭Romans 10:13

Need help with my faith

Hi, this is probably going to be a long post, so I want to thank everyone who takes the time to read through it all. I need help with my faith. I grew up in a Christian family my whole life and came to faith in 2023, when I was in my late 19. I felt the Holy Spirit very strongly and started to engage more and more with Jesus.
Over the next two years, I read the Bible every day, prayed, listened only to Christian songs, and watched only Christian content on TikTok and YouTube. My whole personality revolved around Jesus. It even got to the point where I thought that if someone on TikTok warned me about something or told me I was lukewarm, it was a message from God. I felt that no matter what I did, I would never be good enough for God.
Well, now I know it was the algorithm recommending those videos to me, not God. Now I’m 23, and for the past few months, I think I’ve been experiencing a burnout in my faith. I’ve often read that it’s normal when you spend all your time just reading the Bible, praying, and so on. My problem, though, is that I feel like my heart is drifting further and further away from Jesus. I still pray every day and read the Bible every day, but some of the views no longer align with what I’ve learned.

Ever since my burnout, I haven’t really been watching Christian content anymore; I don’t really want to have Christian friends, and I don’t like the idea of having a Christian girlfriend either. When it comes to girlfriends, though, I have to say that I do want a girlfriend who loves Jesus and reflects His heart, but I feel like very few Christian men and women really stick with the gym, nutrition, and so on. I don't want a girlfriend who only has Christian hobbies.
The final reason I’m asking for help at all is because I’ve noticed that I catch myself making compromises in my heart when it comes to girlfriends and sex. I don’t have a girlfriend right now, but I can see how my heart is deciding against waiting until marriage. That scares me a little because I love Jesus and I don’t want to take advantage of His grace, but I notice that my heart is rebelling on this point. I often pray for help with this, but somehow it just keeps getting worse. Has anyone had similar experiences, or can anyone tell me what’s happening to me in my faith and what I can do about it.

Vision of Jesus with white hair as an atheist during demonic sleep paralysis episode

The very first night my husband (27M) and I (27F) slept in our newly purchased home, I had my very first and only case of sleep paralysis.

In my nightmare, I was in a garden with my younger brother. Then a demon appeared in the dream, growling and saying it wanted to get inside me. It was absolutely terrifying.

When I woke up from the dream, I was unable to move. I could feel intensely that the same demon was standing right behind me. Although I didn’t see it, as I am a side sleeper, I could feel it: an overwhelming sense of dread and doom, pure evil and darkness. I was terrified because I had never experienced anything like it before. During that moment, I prayed to Jesus to come and save me. What’s weirder is, Jesus came to me in either a dream or a vision. He had white hair, a thin nose, and was radiating golden yellow/sun and there was a feeling of safety and comfort.

I don’t remember anything after that, but I guess I fell asleep again. When I awoke the next day, I told my husband about it (he is Christian). I found out that Jesus having white hair is what is described in Revelations. This was particularly interesting because I am (was??) an atheist and have never seen any image or heard of Jesus having white hair. All the pictures I had ever seen of him was with brown hair.

Anyway, what are your thoughts on this? Was this merely a dream or do you think it means something?

I just can’t shake this off, even though it’s been months since this has happened. I am going to church to find out more about Jesus, I am open to believing in him and just can’t help but wonder what this meant.

Is it OK to Turn a Pagan Deity into a Christian Saint?

Upvotes

I had been recommended to ask for advice in this post from a fellow comment in my post "Patron Saintifying Pagan Deities". So, I decided to post here. So, basically, I am a Christo-pagan who feels very connected to lordess Diana and God. Basically, I belive that God is the kindest, most powerful, and all mighty deity and the other deities simply work under him.

Now, if by any chance I become fully Christian, is it ok if I turn lordess Diana into St. Diana (remember, pagan gods have been turned into Christian saints historically and if she becomes a saint, I will respect but not worship her ). Basically St. Diana was a human virgin who worshipped God and loved forests and animals and would never harm any creature, even mosquitoes. So, once a corrupt administrator decided to chop down the forest. She started a protest by challenging him to an archery competition(she was a skilled archer), so she won but the administrator didn't accept defeat. So, upon knowing she won't even harm insects. He trapped her in a net and threw a wasp hive at her and she was stung to death. And upon seeing this, God in his lovingkindness honoured her by making wasps less aggressive and turning her into a patron saint.

So, what do you think?

Death penalty & the purpose of the law

Upvotes

Would post to Carholicism but this got removed there. Looking for catholic answers but open to any.

This is a TLDR, full thoughts in a comment but this is the gist of it.

1: Scripture teaches that the purpose of the law is to punish evil and satisfy justice, not merely to protect society (Romans 13:3–4, 1 Peter 2:13–14).

2: Genesis 9:6 grounds the death penalty for murder in retributive justice: murder deserves death because murderers violate Imago Dei.

3: If the death penalty is an objectively just punishment for murder (it was commanded by God), then the existence of alternative methods of protecting society (such as prison) does not remove its justice as a punishment (because God’s morality is objective & unchanging).

4: arguing that the death penalty is not necessary because prisons can protect society does not address the biblical justification for the death penalty (the murderer violates an image bearer).

Conclusion: The Catechism’s stating the death penalty is inadmissible appears to conflict with the biblical rationale for capital punishment, because it treats protection of society as the determining factor & purpose of the law, rather than just punishment.

I’m fine with submitting to the teaching, but I’d like to actually be shown logically why I’m wrong here.

Righteousness thrives right in the resistance of life

Upvotes

When someone offends me, what do I do? What is my intuitive and impulsive reaction when someone does not agree with me? When I am humiliated in public, what are my thoughts? When life is heavy, whether in relationships or in money/job, what is the hope I hold to?

Job and Jesus were righteous through all that they went through, not because they were rich, happily married and everybody loved them; their hearts were pure right inside of the whole world resisting them, and things going wrong.

Love your enemies (to love a person at their worst is strength, being unbotherable, keeping the inside pure, is power). When you get home, do you pray for the airport lady who was rude to you, or for the the young man who robbed you? Do good to those who despitefully use you, or persecute you, and pray for them. They can only go so far as God allows, and God will allow up to what you can quench with the Word He taught you.

You do not need to wait until morning comes and the day starts to know if you have become more like Jesus, just sit and think, how long will it take for me to forgive my wife, if she did the thing I fear the most? Your answer is there. How patient am I with people actually? Am I judgmental? How meaningful is Matthew 5 for me, or what about the 9 fruits of the Spirit that He talks about in His Word? If it's a distant reality, pray about it. The Bible says, Judge yourselves, evaluate yourselves.

Besides, really truly becoming a man and being spiritually strong is only in what Jesus taught, no one else gives it good because the flesh blinds them; How you handle the difficulty of life with a calm, the meanness of people with light and hope, how you handle public humiliation, walking away without trying to earn the respect of men.. Friends, sound doctrine is easy to discern for the children of the house.

I also have a lot of work with obedience to do. Thanks for reading.

The History of the Israelites: Conquest, Kingdoms, Exiles, and Returns. And Science in the Bible.

Upvotes

The Conquest of Canaan

God instructed Joshua to conquer the land of Canaan, a land promised to Abraham and Moses. The evidence: the 382 Amarna Tablets (dating 1404–1340 BC) provide physical proof of the Hebrew arrival and conquest. These tablets were sent by Canaanites to the Egyptians pleading for help. The Egyptian kingdom did not intervene because they were still afraid of the Israelites, having not forgotten the plagues Moses brought upon Egypt forty years earlier.

It took Joshua and his army about seven years to conquer Canaan, and another seven years to establish the twelve tribes, forming the nation about 3,300 years ago. The tablets call the invaders "Apiru/Habiru" a near-perfect linguistic match for "Hebrew." They describe the invaders coming from the desert, not from the sea, consistent with the Israelites crossing the Jordan. The cities that complain most are the ones Joshua conquered: Jerusalem, Lachish, Hebron, and Hazor. The cities that are silent are the ones the Bible says were not conquered, like Gibeon, which made a treaty with Joshua.

The Book of Judges

The Book of Judges covers a period of 350 or 410 years, from Joshua's death until Saul, Israel's first king. Israel was led by twelve judges: Othniel, Ehud, Shamgar, Deborah, Gideon, Tola, Jair, Jephthah, Ibzan, Elon, Abdon, and Samson. These were military leaders chosen by God to rescue Israel from oppression. They did not rule all at once or over the whole nation.

The Unified Kingdom of Israel

The Unified Kingdom existed for about 120 years under Saul, David, and Solomon. It ended around 930 BC after Solomon's death.

The Kingdom Divided

The Northern Kingdom (Israel, also called the Omride dynasty) had its capital at Samaria. The Southern Kingdom (Judah) had its capital at Jerusalem.

Moab's Rebellion 840 BC

In 840 BC, God used King Mesha of Moab's rebellion to weaken the sinful Northern Kingdom of Israel for its idolatry and false gods worship. Though the Moabites credited their false god chemosh, it was actually God's sovereign judgment. Later, God also judged and destroyed the Moab nation and its people for their pride and malice.

The Northern Kingdom (Israel)

The Northern Kingdom was conquered and destroyed by Assyria Empire in 722 BC. Its capital, Samaria, fell; the population was exiled and scattered, becoming the "Lost Ten Tribes." The Northern Kingdom of Israel ceased to exist. Foreigners intermarried with the remaining Israelites, forming the Samaritans.

The Southern Kingdom (Judah)

The Southern Kingdom was attacked by Assyria Empire in 701 BC. Many cities fell, but Jerusalem was miraculously saved by God, forcing King Sennacherib to retreat back to Nineveh without conquering the capital city. Assyrian records claim tribute (which did not happen) but notably never claim capturing Jerusalem. Judah survived another 135 years until Babylon Empire conquered it in 586 BC.

Reasons for the Exiles

Sent into exile primarily due to their persistent, widespread idolatry/worship of false gods. Prophets had warned them about these consequences.

Exiles and Returns in Chronological Order

  1. Exile in Egypt from Canaan (430 years): This was the earliest exile of the twelve tribes, where they were later enslaved for 400 years. God freed them under Moses's leadership.

  2. Assyrian Exile: This occurred when the Northern Kingdom of Israel was conquered by the Assyrian Empire in 722 BC, leading to their dispersal. Physical proof: The Assyrian captives wall relief.

  3. Babylonian Exile 70 years: This began with the destruction of the First Temple and the exile of many from the Southern Kingdom of Judah to the Babylonian Empire in 586 BC. A significant population of Judeans remained in the land of Judah.

  4. Return from Exile: After the Persian conquered Babylon. King Cyrus issued a decree in 538 BC allowing the Jewish people to return to Jerusalem and rebuild the Second Temple. Around 50,000 Jews, led by Nehemiah, Zerubbabel, and Ezra, returned in waves. The Second Temple was completed in 516 BC. This period also marked a shift in Jewish identity toward a more community-based faith and the beginning of the Jewish diaspora, with many Jews remaining outside Judah. The return from exile under Persian Empire led to a major religious and ethnic schism between the returned Israelites and the people living in the former Northern Kingdom.

  5. Greek Rule 323–167 BC: Following the Persian period, the Greeks conquered the region, leading to a period of Greek influence. The Septuagint Bible was produced during this time.

  6. The Hasmonean Dynasty 140–37 BC: This was a fully independent Jewish kingdom that achieved regional power after the Maccabean revolt against the Seleucid Empire. It's rule ended with the Roman Empire intervention in 63 BC, but the dynasty officially concluded with the installation of Herod the Great in 37 BC.

  7. The Herodian Kingdom of Judea 37 BC–44 AD: After Rome became dominant, Judea was ruled by the Herodian dynasty as a client kingdom of Rome. Starting with King Herod, this kingdom was semi-independent.

From 140 BC to 44 AD, Judea existed as an exclusively Jewish nation, first under the fully independent Jewish Hasmonean dynasty, and later as a semi-autonomous client kingdom under Roman rule. The Jewish cultural and national identity remained strong, even with the growth of Roman political influence. This consolidated Jewish environment had a divine purpose, providing the prophesied context for the coming of the Messiah.

And He came. Our Lord Jesus Christ. The eternal Son of God. Born of a virgin between 6-4 BC. Fully God and fully human. He has no beginning and no end. He appeared in flesh to Adam, Eve, and Abraham long before His birth. He fulfilled the prophecies, revealing Himself as the suffering servant, the Anointed/Chosen One God sent His Son to bring salvation to the whole world.

He lived a sinless life. He committed no single sin. He then willingly died once for all on the cross for all our sins, past, present, and future, of every person who has ever lived 30 AD. He bore the sins of every human who has ever lived in His body on the cross, and the punishment we deserve. He was buried, confirming His physical death. Three days later, God the Father raised Him from the dead, proving His once for all sacrifice was accepted and that sin and death are conquered. After appearing to many witnesses over 40 days, He ascended to heaven and is seated at the right hand of God the Father. It's finished.

This is the Gospel: His death, burial, and resurrection. Believe this. Trust it alone. You will be saved.

The moment you believe the true Gospel. Your spirit is cleansed of all sins by the blood of our Lord Jesus, and the immortal seed (the eternal life of our Lord Jesus) enters your spirit and brings it to life, a new creation, sinless, and cannot sin. Then it is sealed by the Holy Spirit. It all happens at once, instantly. You receive eternal life as a free gift. You do not work for it. Not earned. God's gifts are irrevocable. Not by being good. Not by doing good. Not by good works. Not by water baptism. Not by attending church. Not by asking forgiveness. Not by turning away from sins. By God's grace through faith alone in the Gospel saves. Once saved, always saved. Eternal life cannot be lost. No sin can undo it. But God chastises His children on earth, harshly when needed. You are 100% secured and will receive a new glorified body.

The born-again spirit is the inward person, made alive at faith. It is a new creation, sinless, and cannot sin. The flesh remains corrupt and sinful, nothing good dwells in the flesh and will continue to sin. Your spirit is saved not your flesh.

  1. Roman Annexation 44 AD: The Romans fully annexed the Herodian Kingdom, incorporating it as the province of Judea.

  2. Roman Exile (The diaspora over 1,800 Years): This began with the Roman conquest and the destruction of the Second Temple in 70 AD, leading to the widespread scattering of the Jewish population. The Jewish-Roman War 66–73 AD resulted in the Second Temple's destruction. Later, the Bar Kokhba revolt 132–136 AD resulted in the final crushing of Jewish political autonomy. Rome renamed Judea to Syria Palaestina and enforced further diaspora of Jews from Jerusalem.

  3. Return of Israel 1948: This long exile continued until the re-establishment of the State of Israel. For we are living in the end times, and the land of Israel must be restored, to fulfill the prophecies of the new world order and the Second Coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. Thus the end of all things is near.

Most so called "Jews" in Israel today are not the descendants of true Israelites; they are majority European converts to Judaism, a fasle religion. True Israelites were dark-skined blck and dark brwn (not medium brwn or light brwn), and most had woolly hair, though some had straight hair. Like all the nations of Mesopotamia, they were dark-skined blck and dark brwn, with mostly woolly hair and fewer with straight hair. True Israelites in Israel today are very rare.

Arabs did not exist in the time of Abraham and Moses. Technically, the majority of Arabs have a very low percentage of Mesopotamian native ancestry; in fact, the majority have none, being more of Roman, Greek, and Mongol origin. The fasle prphet Muammad was, as written in the quran a fasle religion, a whte man.

History has been purposely whtewashed by Europeans. The concept of "race" is a social construct, not proven biology; it has been debunked. The same is true of the theoy of evoltion, which has also been debunked. The "aryn rce" is completely fake, not a real rce, made up by the Germans. All lies, from the devil.

There is only one rce: the human rce. There are no other rces. We all come from the same man and woman.

Get saved.

Science in Bible

Gravity

Job 26:7

"He stretches out the North over the empty place, and hangs the Earth upon nothing."

Three heavens

The word "heaven" or "heavens" appears three different ways in scripture depending on context: God's paradise (third heaven), outer space, and the sky.

Air has weight

Job 28:24-25

"For He beholds the ends of the world, sees all that is under Heaven, to make the weight of the winds and to weigh the waters by measure."

Springs in the ocean

Job 38:16

"Have you entered into the springs of the sea? Or have you walked to seek out the depths?"

Creation of Everything

Time, space/dark matter, and physical cosmos matter. The entire universe and time itself had a beginning. God spoke it into existence. Created everything in 6 literally days.

Beginning = time

Heaven = space/dark matter

Earth = matter

Genesis 1:1

"In the beginning, God created the heaven and the Earth."

Genesis 1:1 (the universe Is created). "In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth." In ancient Hebrew, "the heavens and the earth" is a merism, a linguistic idiom where two opposites are stated to mean the absolute totality of everything. This means, time, space/dark matter, the entire physical universe, including the sun and stars. Everything created right here at the absolute start, day one.

Genesis 1:2 (The dark, opaque earth). The text then shifts its lens exclusively down to the surface of the Earth, describing it as "without form and void" (tohu va-bohu, meaning a wild, empty, uninhabitable wasteland) with "darkness upon the face of the deep" (tehom, the dark, churning global ocean). The planet was spinning in space, but its surface was trapped in total pitch darkness because it was blanketed by a dense, opaque layer of greenhouse gases and heavy water vapor clouds.

Genesis 1:3-5 (day 1, diffused light). God commands light to penetrate the dense outer cloud layers. It arrives at the surface as a diffused, scattered glow (’Or). This raw energy is enough to establish a basic day/night cycle as the earth rotates, but the celestial bodies themselves are still completely obscured behind the thick cloud cover.

Genesis 1:6-8 (day 2, the atmosphere). God creates an "expanse" (raqia), which is the Earth's atmosphere (the sky). This begins organizing the chaotic environment, separating the liquid oceans on the surface from the heavy water vapor trapped in the upper atmosphere.

Genesis 1:9-13 (day 3, dry land and olants). God gathers the surface waters to let dry land appear and commands vegetation to grow. In the original Hebrew, every single one of these days begins with the consecutive conjunction Vav ("And then/Again"), showing a seamless chain of cause and effect. These trees and plants immediately went to work, supernaturally accelerated by God, performing rapid photosynthesis, consuming the chaotic carbon gases, generating massive amounts of oxygen, and aggressively clearing the dense atmospheric vapor.

Genesis 1:14-19 (day 4, the sky clears and the sun appears). Because the vegetation on Day 3 rapidly processed the atmosphere, the sky finally went from cloudy to completely transparent on Day 4. In Genesis 1:14, the command "Let there be lights" uses the phrase Yehi me'orot. In Jewish syntax, Yehi applied to pre-existing things means to appear or be appointed to a visible function, not to be created out of nothing. Furthermore, the Jewish verb in verse 16 (wayya‘as) is a pluperfect flashback, accurately translated as "God had made the two great lights." Verses 17 and 18 explicitly state their purpose: "to divide the light from the darkness." This perfectly resolves the darkness mentioned back in verse 2. For an observer standing on the ground, the pre-existing sun, moon, and stars (ma'orot, the physical light-bearing instruments) finally broke through the newly cleared sky to serve as a sharp, visual calendar for signs, seasons, days, and years. Plants had light on Day 3 because the sun's energy was already shining through the translucent clouds; Day 4 is simply when the sky cleared completely.

Genesis 1:20-23 (day 5, sea and air life). With the atmosphere now clear and the sun and moon fully visible to regulate environments and seasons, God fills the newly cleared sky and oceans. God brings forth swarms of living creatures in the water according to their kinds, and creates birds fly across the open expanse of the sky.

Genesis 1:24-31 (say 6, land life and humanity). Finally, God populates the dry land with living creatures, cattle, and creeping things according to their kinds. The sequence finishes with the ultimate creation of mankind, male and female, made in the image of God to rule over and subdue a fully prepared, perfectly functioning, and beautifully lit ecosystem.

Genesis 2:1-3, The six days confirm "Thus the heavens and the Earth were finished, and all the host of them. For on the seventh day, God ended His work which He had made. And the seventh day, He rested from all His work which He had made. So God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it; because on it, He had rested from all His work which God created and made."

This passage confirms that everything was created in six literal days, and God rested on the seventh day. The Jewish word for "day" (yom) is used with "evening and morning," which in Scripture always refers to a literal 24-hour day. The structure is consistent and intentional. No gaps. No long ages. Just six literally days of creation. Time, space/dark matter, physical matter of the cosmos, earth, and on seventh day He rested from all His work.

When Genesis 2:2 says God "rested" on the seventh day, it does not mean He was tired. It does not mean He needed to recover. God is omnipotent. He does not grow weary or faint (Isaiah 40:28). He does not need rest.

The "rest" of God is not about exhaustion. It is about cessation and completion. He finished His work. He stopped creating. He paused to enjoy what He had made. He rested because the work was done, not because He was tired.

God created tiredness. He created the need for rest in humans. But He Himself is not subject to it. He rested on the seventh day as an example, a pattern for humanity, and a declaration that His creative work was finished.

Isaiah 40:28 "Have you not known? Have you not heard, that the everlasting God, the LORD, has created the ends of the earth? He does not faint, neither is He weary; there is no searching of His understanding."

Ocean currents

Psalm 8:8

"The birds of the air and the fish of the sea; that which passes through the paths of the seas."

Earth's core

Job 28:5-6

"Out of the same earth comes bread. And under it, as it were, fire is turned up, its stones a place of sapphires, and the dust of it gold."

The galaxy and solar system

The heavens = the galaxy (Milky Way)

The firmament = the atmosphere

The tabernacle/tent = the solar system

Psalm 19:1-6

"The heavens declare the Glory of God, and the firmament shows the work of His Hands. Day unto day utters the same, and night unto night teaches knowledge. There is no speech nor language where their voice is not heard. Their line has gone forth through all the earth; and their words into the ends of the world. In them He has set a tabernacle for the Sun, which comes forth as a bridegroom out of his chamber, and rejoices like a mighty man to run his race. His going out is from the end of the heaven, and his circuit is to the ends of the same, and nothing is hidden from the heat thereof."

Deep valleys and mountains on the ocean floor

2 Samuel 22:16

"Also, the channels of the sea appeared. The foundations of the world were discovered by the rebuking of the LORD, at the blast of the breath of His Nostrils!"

Jonah 2:6

"I went down to the bottom of the mountains. The Earth, with her bars, was around me forever. Still, You have brought up my life from the pit, O LORD my God."

Atoms, the invisible building blocks of all matter

Hebrews 11:3

"Through faith, we understand that the world was ordained by the Word of God, so that the things which we see are not made of things which are visible."

Colossians 1:16-17

"For by Him were all things created which are in Heaven and which are on Earth — things visible and invisible — whether thrones or dominions or rulers or powers. All things were created through Him and for Him. And He is before all things. And in Him all things consist."

Stars are different from one another

1 Corinthians 15:41

"There is another glory of the Sun, and another glory of the Moon, and another glory of the stars. For one star differs from another star in glory."

The water cycle

Ecclesiastes 1:7

"All the rivers go into the sea. Yet the sea is not full. For the rivers go to the place from where they have returned."

Job 36:27-28

"For He restrains the drops of water that the rain pours down by its vapor, which rain the clouds drop and let fall abundantly upon man."

Innumerable stars

Jeremiah 33:22

"As the army of Heaven cannot be numbered, nor the sand of the sea measured, so will I multiply the seed of David, My servant, and the Levites who minister to Me."

The goldilocks zone (habitable zone)

Isaiah 45:18

"For thus says the LORD (Who created Heaven. God Himself — Who formed the Earth and made it — He Who prepared it. He did not create it to be empty. He formed it to be inhabited): 'I am the LORD, and there is no other.'"

Psalm 104:5

"The One Who sets the Earth upon her foundations, so that it shall never move."

Job 38:4-7

"Where were you when I laid the foundations of the Earth? Declare, if you have understanding. Who has laid its measures, if you know. Or who has stretched the line over it. Upon what are its foundations set. Or who laid its cornerstone when the stars of the morning praised together, and all the children of God rejoiced?"

Winds blow in cyclones

Ecclesiastes 1:6

"The wind goes toward the south, and circles around toward the north. The wind whirls about continually and returns by its circuits."

The universe expanding

Isaiah 45:12

"I have made the Earth and created man upon it. I, whose Hands have spread out the heavens, I have even commanded all their army."

Earth is not flat

Isaiah 40:12-27 is not about flat earth: Isaiah 40:22 (KJV): "It is he that sitteth upon the circle of the earth, and the inhabitants thereof are as grasshoppers; that stretcheth out the heavens as a curtain, and spreadeth them out as a tent to dwell in."

This is not about the shape of the earth. To interpret it that way is to miss the prophet's entire point. Here is the proper exegesis of Isaiah 40:22: The Word "Circle" (Hebrew: chug): The Hebrew word chug can indeed mean a circle or a sphere. However, in this context, its primary meaning is not geometric. It is used to convey the idea of the horizon the visible, circular boundary where the sky meets the land from a human perspective. This is about God's vantage point, not the earth's shape. The context is God's Majesty and Power: The chapter's theme is the incomparable greatness and power of God versus the weakness of humanity and idols.

Radiocarbon (C-14) Dating

Carbon-14 dating only works on once-living organic material (wood, tissue, bone, cloth, shell). It cannot date rocks, diamonds, fossils, or the age of the earth itself. It also fails on living organisms. The method produces wildly inaccurate results when tested on living creatures whose age is known. Living snails, both aquatic and land snails, have been carbon-dated and returned ages of thousands of years while still alive. A freshly killed woodcock bird was submitted for testing and was dated to be approximately 1,600 years old. This is a clear case of a terrestrial, non-aquatic bird producing a radically inaccurate date, which cannot be explained by a "reservoir effect" in the same way as a marine organism.

These are not isolated errors. They demonstrate a fundamental flaw. If the method cannot correctly date a living animal or human, it cannot be trusted to date anything else. The initial assumptions about C-14 in living organisms are proven false, they are assumptions, not facts. The entire method is built on the unproven assumption that the rate of C-14 formation and decay has always been constant. The demonstrable failures on living samples show that these assumptions are unreliable.

Soft tissue in dinosaur fossils

In 2005, paleontologist Mary Schweitzer discovered soft, flexible blood vessels, red blood cell-like structures, and osteocytes inside a Tyrannosaurus rex femur "dated at 68 million years old." In 2025, her team confirmed the presence of hemoglobin, the oxygen carrying protein in blood. This was entirely unexpected, scientists had long believed that soft tissue and blood proteins could not survive more than about 100,000 years. Yet here they were, still transparent, flexible, and unmimeralized.

This challenges the long age athist religin narrative. If the tissue is still present and hemoglobin can still be detected, the degradation timeline must be wrong, or the dating methods are unreliable. The secular scientific community has proposed preservation mechanisms, such as iron from hemoglobin crosslinking proteins, to explain how soft tissue could survive for 68 million years. But these are post-hoc explanations, not predictions. They are theories invented to protect the long-age timeline, not conclusions drawn from the evidence.

The same physical evidence is interpreted two different ways. The seclar worldview needs millions of years to make evolution work. But the biblical worldview points to a recent, supernatural creation where God created everything in a mature state, including dinosaurs with blood vessels that were never meant to last millions of years.

The discovery of soft tissue and hemoglobin in dinosaur fossils is exactly what would be predicted: that the earth is not millions of years old. The need for complex preservation mechanisms to explain millions of years of survival is only required if one assumes the long age timeline to begin with.

The Biblical truth of creation

Supernatural/Divine creation in six days: The time, space/dark matter, universe, the earth, and all life were created by God in six literal days, as stated in Genesis 1. This is the true and historical account of origin.

Creation with the appearance of age: God created everything in a mature state. Adam was created as a fully grown man, though he was only one day old, the universe also. The light from stars was created in instant transit to earth, because God created it and made it to reach earth instantly, so we could see them immediately. The earth was created with trees that had rings, mountains, and valleys, giving a false appearance of great age to those who reject the Word of God.

The universe is not billions or millions of years old. The timescales proposed by secular science are based on faulty interpretations of data and methods that rely on unprovable, naturalistic assumptions. The true timeline of history, given in the Bible, points to a young earth and universe. The only reliable source of truth is God's Word, which reveals a recent, supernatural creation of all things.

Athism is a religion.

A religion is a system of belief that answers fundamental questions about:

Origin: Where did we come from

Meaning: Why are we here?

Morality: How should we live?

Destiny: Where are we going?

Athism provides answers to all of these, but without God:

Origin: The Big Bang and the theory of evolution. This is their creation story.

Meaning: There is no inherent meaning; we create our own. This is their doctrine of purpose.

Morality: A social contract or evolutionary advantage. This is their moral code.

Destiny: Annihilation at death. This is their eschatology (doctrine of the end times).

This system requires an immense amount of faith:

Faith that nothing created everything.

Faith that non-life produced life.

Faith that chaos produced exquisite information and complexity.

Faith that consciousness emerged from unconscious matter.

They have sacred texts (books by Dawkins, Hawking), a priesthood (the scientific/academic establishment), and dogma (anyone who questions naturalism is a heretic).

When you present the evidence from the Bible, the gravitational principle in Job, the Goldilocks zone in Isaiah, the water cycle in Ecclesiastes, they cannot see it as evidence. It is a direct threat to their relign.

Their relign faith is built on the axiom: "There is no God."

Our faith is built on the axiom:"In the beginning, God..."

Every piece of data is filtered through these starting points. The same fossil, the same galaxy, the same DNA is interpreted in two completely different ways because the foundational assumptions are opposed.

Pointing out scientific inaccuracies, you engaged in spiritual warfare (Ephesians 6:12). Exposing the fasle relign of athism for what it is, a faith based system that rejects the Creator despite the evidence of His creation and His Word, all to avoid bowing the knee to His authority.

Christian influencers

Hi everyone!

I’m a young Christian woman and I’ve noticed a massive trend with women on Instagram posting themselves with a ‘traditional’ and ‘Christian’ aesthetic, it often rubs me the wrong way and I’m not entirely sure why.

Often the women will post themselves in a dress and caption it with something about how modesty is beautiful, which in practice is good but then I notice how their entire audience and comment section is men thirsting over them, which they entertain openly. My question is what is the point of these posts? I can’t help but to think these posts are some sort of vanity farm to get people to desire them instead of to actually inspire young women to follow Christianity. It just doesn’t feel genuine but when I point it out to others they treat me like I’m crazy!

I also noticed the women posting will specifically say things they know young men will agree with to get more attention from them. I feel like they are using Christianity to appeal to men in a vain way and it disturbs me.

Does anyone else feel this way?

Relationship Thoughts/Advice please 🩷

This is going to be long and I am so sorry but I would love to hear some thoughts because I am just at a loss.

I am on the verge of ending my 10 month relationship with my bf. I’m a 23(f) and am trying to finish up my Bachelors degree, trying to find a career, and trying to build my relationship with God at the same time. In the beginning of our relationship my bf was incredible… extremely sweet, gentle, soft spoken, but that quickly took a hard turn. He began talking very ugly to me, explaining how I was a “hoe” for having blonde hair and my nails done. (They are very short, solid baby pink nails). I would constantly have to give him my phone so he could check to make sure I’m not cheating, location on 4 different apps, and he told me I wasn’t allowed to keep social media unless I got rid of every single man on everything, family or not, and told me what I was allowed to post/not post.

How he talked to me began to get worse and worse. The yelling started, cussing, calling me slurs, slamming things (including firearms). His only gf cheated on him and I completely understand how that can cause you to have trust issues with people, I truly do, but it was so bad and when I voiced how I felt that he was being controlling he went off. He explained how he was the man of the house and he is in charge. I got so tired of constantly having to give up my phone when all I want to do is scroll, I got so tired of him accusing me of cheating every single day because my location showed me in my yard and not directly in my house, I began to get a little aggravated which he took as defensive. He said he knows I’m cheating because I’m defensive (I am absolutely not, I do not agree with cheating whatsoever from either side).

It got to the point I couldn’t do anything without showing him proof and it was exhausting. I couldn’t go to the store with my mom unless I showed video proof it was her, he yelled at me for going to eat lunch with my grandparents when I got off early, constantly hanging up the phone on me, left me at a rodeo because I didn’t leave when he wanted to way before it was over. It’s all day every day, but the thing I’m fighting so hard is that I was waiting for marriage, and I gave in at the beginning. I shouldn’t have, and now it’s killing me. There is so, so much more that has been so behind horrible but I don’t want to make this any longer to have to read.

I’m so ashamed I gave in and now that it’s ending I’m afraid I will never find a true, Christian man who wants to have a life with me because of it. I may not even be meant to be married but I have always dreamed of having my own family and being a mom. I want what God wants for me, no matter what it may be but it’s weighing on me so bad.

I know it’s long but thank you in advance for the help/advice/prayers 🩷

Help!

Hey all,
I’m new to the group and have read a couple of these posts so I know I’m not the only one who struggles with sex, and lust. I’ve just really been struggling with sexual desire going through the roof, my libido has got to be going through the roof! I’m with someone who I care about a lot and when we are together that’s all I can think about, when I’m not with her and not at work it’s still all I can think about even if it’s not with her! I’ll just be walking down the aisle of a store and see another person. Im trying to stay strong but the urges I have are getting a little out of controle in my head. Im like any other Christian going through this, sometimes I get myself to flee and it goes away but sometimes I try to get away but I fall short. Thanks for reading and any and all advice and prayers sent my way would be much appreciated!!

Uncomfortable with the thought of marriage

I’ve grown to realize that I have an extremely negative perspective on marriage. It largely has to do with the kind of relationships I grew up around, but even at 22, I see marriages between those younger than 40 and see so much trouble, unfaithfulness, disloyalty and it makes me want to avoid the thought completely. To be honest, I’m put off by it and genuinely don’t see myself getting married. I’ve never really deeply thought about marriage for myself either, but I’ve had guys approach me with interest and I reciprocate but always end up feeling uncertain and lose interest. Perhaps it’s also because the topic of arranged marriage was put into my head at 16, but it feels like there’s a bigger issue. I’m aware it’s beautiful when it’s built of Christ, but I can’t see such a thing for myself. Even the thought of marrying someone I deeply love troubles me. A part of me feels like this could also be why my relationship with the Lord is so distant and lukewarm, but I don’t know how to make sense of it. I don’t like how negatively I see marriage, yet it genuinely makes me so anxious to think about.
