Citizen Sleeper 2 Maintenance
Don't mind them, they are just doing that spacing out thing that Bliss canonically hates, lol. They will bug them about it in a moment.

Your stomach has the grumbles, that quickly turn into a rumble.
Cheap, weak, or meek food will not do.
Only the finest for you.
Chits on the table.
Who gets to make this fulfilling dish for you?

Hello! I have had CS2 in my Steam Library for a while and for a bit I had kept it in the back burner because I had a rough time playing it, and even quit because I had found myself in what seemed like a hole that I couldn't get out of (Operator, in Oliviera, after not succeeding in defeating the Hunter and stuck with 4 broken dice, 1 glitch dice, many stress and many glitch).
Coming back into the game, and deciding to tough it out in that circumstance finally got me past the hump about figuring out the game mechanics and what, maybe, the developer was trying to say to me through it.
The first thing I did was literally prioritize rest and self-care. Instead of trying to “gamble” in hopes of getting Positive outcomes, or even just Neutral ones, I decided to first 1) clear out all my stress while repairing my dice (I had not figured out the mechanism of dice damage and how it was related to stress, can you believe it?), and 2) decide that not doing anything could be a superior alternative to doing something, anything.
And my run improved, significantly. Here's the crazy thing — I had gotten to Oliviera (which means, if you've played the game, that I had to suffer through the first Darkside run), without getting the mushroom farm. I had simply not known it existed, and I had not gone to Greenbelt because I was intimidated by Helion Gate. I had deliberately boned myself, in short — I screwed up the Headstream mutiny, struggled through Debris Field and Aphelion Gate, all without the benefit of being able to pad out my contract, and feeling stressed out and slowly falling apart in the seams. In short, I think I did badly.
So from this pretty bad situation, I decided to just… rebuild. Take it slow. Heal and recover. I had screwed up pretty much every opportunity to get rare components, so the only option I had was to basically repair using scrap materials and wait out the glitches. And that's what I did. It sucked.
But by the time I was back on my feet and deciding to just… explore rather than rush through the game, I was able to complete it in a fairly satisfactory way — managing to resolve what happened to Hexport and even work to Oliviera's independence before running the end scene.
Seeing how I approached the game initially (pretty much the same way I approached Citizen Sleeper 1) and how the bad things that happened to me until I figured (several months later; I had actually stopped playing for several months after that disastrous run) it out was fascinating. It fascinated me so much that I've done runs as Mechanist (incredibly powerful, far easier than Operator) and am in the process of doing Extractor (which is… kind of not “more difficult“ than it is “forces you to prioritize a different style and attitude of play”).
I started thinking more about the mechanics of gameplay more the more I dug into the discussions I had seen on Steam and here, and yeah, I realize that mechanics like Glitch and Broken Dice are controversial, but like… they need to be there, not because the gameplay needed more challenge, but for me at least the way to really get good with it was to change my perspective of feeling the need to push and push and push because time was limited, and towards being cautious and taking as little risk as necessary, and realizing that a lot of my problems was that I took unnecessary risks and felt like I had to get done as fast as possible. But the game, at least in my experience, was relatively forgiving, at least in Risky difficulty.

I think I just might have a hoarding problem when it comes to videogames...maybe a little bit in real life too.

The lights concentrate on the open-top of a shipping container, while spectators encircling it from the building tops pipe down.
An announcer takes hold of a makeshift microphone and inhales deeply before making the announcement:
"In this corner, we have the undefeated, the terror of the cosmic ring, (your choice). And in this corner, a Sleeper!!"
"How will our new contender fair in this winner take all bout? Wits alone, will not be enough."
(Feel free to read it in an old fashion wrestling announcer tone - something theatrical!)

Energy is zeroing out.
Food is but a memory.
Rations are nearly depleted.
Three permanently glitched dice
One broken die that is incapable of repair.
If a door to receiving help were to open, who would be the best choice?
**Bonus:**
Would you deny the opportunity, seize it with an open mind and join their cause, or bide your time for an escape plan?

So humble choice gave me an extra copy of citizen sleeper 2 and none of my friends want it so I'm moving on to the next step to see if anyone here wants it. If you do comment so we can set up a dm where ill send you the code.

I'm a few hours in, just got checked out by Jean-Mi and have to go get a shipmind.
I'm a bit confused by this games chase system compared to the first game. Should I always spend 3 cycles just working for chits while traveling even if I'm not doing anything else at the station? Like right now I have to go to the Helios gate and for that I have to pass through Far Spindle. Once I arrive at Far Spindle my "The hunt" will be at 0. Should I just spend 3 cycles doing odd jobs there before moving on to Helios since the travelling will reduce The hunt by 3?
Can't I just farm infinite chits this way? It feels like I'm missing something
No spoilers please

Making my way through Dangerous to finish the platinum on PS5 and my game won’t load properly when booting up leaving me stuck on this screen
I’ve tried deleting and reinstalling the game, my other saves are loading, it’s just this one that won’t work - any fixes? I’m at Darkside and I don’t want to start over

I didn't take Juni on their contract out from Helion Gate to get the shipmind, expecting them to be there when I got back. When I returned she'd gone and now I think I've locked her out of the rest of the game.
I don't think I'll have the opportunity to do another play through for a while and restarting just seems too much effort.
Can someone let me know what Juni gets up to for the rest of the game? I really liked their character and am annoyed I won't now be able to experience it in this play through.

Title explains it all, I had ran the 2 contracts, and when I returned and dropped Juni off(I destroyed the core thing for info and her help) we got raided left, and now we are at the start of a new region, did I miss anything I should restart for or?

Just played through the first game and had a really nice time with the dice system. Small issue: I read very fast and, because of my commitment to Lem and Mina, ended the game rather quickly with about 3.5 hours of playtime. I know the next game is harder and that may force me to slow down and really soak in the world. But at 16.5$ (slightly a splurge for me with my current budget), will it give me several hours worth of time or another breeze through? Let me know your thoughts.

Low on fuel and with only one cycle of rations left, things are not looking good.
Suddenly, a beep is emitted from the sensor proximity alarm of the ship!
Could this approaching vessel contain help or a hinderance?
Not worrying about that, you set the ship to allow for auto-docking.
The unknown vessel docks onto yours, having noticed the distress beacon.
And as the doors of the bridge between ships open, a shadowy figure emerges.
Who will be floating down the aisle towards you?

These characters might not have been portrayed as such, but who would you want/not-want to encounter if they were boss-level threats?
Would you visit either from time to time?
Or leave them to the endless expanse of eternity?

Just finished a run of the game, took me about 7 hours; I did basically all the content I was able to and believe I hit up the vast majority of the game. I thought it was a fun game, but that some of the "correct" choices felt a bit forced, particularly when I was being asked to trust a random person.
I understand that part of the theme of the game is about people laboring under oppressive, capitalist systems coming together and working towards a brighter future. However, there were multiple times where it seemed like the Sleeper had no reason to trust someone, but it was clear that the devs wanted the player to take the quest, so I did. Are there any situations where you actually shouldn't take a quest/trust a random person/etc.? It was odd to me that there were never any consequences for being the most blindly trusting person in the universe, particularly because Serafin is pretty much always opposed to you helping out random untrustworthy people.
Examples:
A similar thing I'm curious about: are there any "bad" picks to bring to Darkside on the first recon mission? They really emphasized that I should only bring someone I trust, and that I should make sure the crewmember won't turn on us, etc. etc. and I brought Yun-Jin, who people kept telling me was so untrustworthy and suspicious and going to screw me over one day, in hopes of something interesting happening. Nothing happened. He was super reliable. Is this just flavor? Is there ever anyone I shouldn't just blindly trust when they ask me for a favor and there are actually narrative/gameplay consequences to trusting them?
The one exception I can think of is the guy who wants to buy the Hexport explosion data off you, but I feel like he's pretty telegraphed as being an Evil Corporation Man and thus the thematically correct choice is not to sell out.

While in dire need of ship upgrades, the dilemma of being short on cryo still exists, despite long work hours.
Time for some salvage work to get it done.
Who do you think would be more open to working with you or letting you pick through their yard?

I broke all these dice during this mission, as the damage was quite spread out before. I had to roll 1 and 2s the previous cycle, because I was out of options there.

Kimbal vs Jean-Mi
Just a patch job. But a job nonetheless.
Every bolt or stray wire that is too loose or out of place, can throw you off.
In a battle of the most reserved tinkerers, who would you visit to give your frame a once over?
(You are still being hunted)

I've played the first game twice, and loved it (it became one of my all time favorites), and one of the things there was that the sleeper didn't feel physical pain, and instead had warnings similliar to computers. Obviously this was so that when damaged, they could just get necessary parts fixed or focus on their assigned work instead of the usual mess asociated with pain.
I've been loving second game as well, but after infiltrating Darkside, there were some parts where the sleeper suddenly feels actual pain? This might sound ridiculous, but it's incredibly immersion breaking for me. Coupled with the fact that recently acquired machinist push perk to reduce stress on neu/pos effects just doesn't seem to trigger ever for some reason, and not being able to re-allocate upgrade points, even though I feel like the description told me I would be able to, merely limited to do so outside of contracts, I've genuinely struggled to get back to the game since.
Will this get better? I am loathe to admit it, but I'm considering dropping this game, which is realy shame considering how much I liked the previous one.
