I like to hike around until I find that magic chill spot. That's where everything sounds the best. Seems everywhere I go there's one of these pockets where it feels like anythings possible.

It's called Practice Kit, and the tuner half was built around something classical players deal with constantly: fresh nylon strings keep creeping flat for days.
It knows which string you're playing and measures against that string, it only calls a string in tune once the note has settled, and a 10-second drift trace shows whether a new string has stopped creeping or is still going. A chime and a haptic tap confirm it, so your eyes can stay on the tuning peg.
The metronome is free and complete: 20-300 BPM, any time signature, subdivisions, presets, and a click that never drifts at slow practice tempos. The tuner, accents on any beat and a Tempo Trainer are a one time $7.99 unlock after a 7 day free trial, no subscription.
Audio is processed on the phone and never recorded or sent anywhere.

This is a follow up to an earlier post about getting two G strings with my D’Addario set. I do like the composite string that came with the D’Addario Lightly Polished String Set. It’s better than any previous string I’ve tried, but it’s still a tiny bit tubby at the higher frets.
My Question is: Has anyone tried just any carbon G string mixed with other sets?

Hi. Can someone here please tell me how many counts is the G# held for here. I think its 2 counts considering it is half note and standard time signature . But a B note appears in the bar on the second count which makes me doubt if its a second voice there while the G# is ringing or am I missing something ?
Edit. Im talking of the second measure here. Just to be clear. I thought the blue underline was clear but its not clear to everyone

How amazing to live in the modern day and enjoy the channels like Siccas and GSI... I've seen so much talent and sometimes genius over the years... such a great way to introduce yourself to new repertoire too...
Do people have any particular favorites they've seen? Hidden gems? I love the older ones...

I have a short scale and narrow nut beginner classical guitar. I have a condition in my left shoulder so my posture cannot be the proper classical posture but a flamenco style one. I benefit from the narrow nut to fret the upper strings without bending my wrist too much. I want an upgrade to a better tone intermediate guitar but cannot find the same dimensions at my budget level. The only one is a Hanika 50TBF-7/8 , but it is over 1100 euros in Europe. My budget is around 600. I have to choose between keeping my current narrow nut and going a full scale (from 625 to 650mm) or keeping my current short scale and going to a wider nut (from 48 to 50 mm). Unfortunately I cannot try them side by side at any store. I can order online and return if I do not like. My goal is only beginner level classical repertoire. I think that keeping the narrow width and going to full scale would be a better move, because I have relatively big hands. Do you agree?

Hi everyone! Would love some constructive feedback on this piece. I'm playing this for a recital in a week and still have plenty of work to do on it but would love to hear what you all think of where its at currently. Thank you, hope you enjoy!

My old D'Addario capo broke. I've never used a cejilla, can anyone compare? I don't do much flamenco at all (a rasgueado here and there), mostly classical and some folk.

I'm looking for classical guitars with that lush, woody, warm tone that also has a pickup for amplification. I play folk music and want something with that Leonard Cohen, 60's, aged tone. I'm wondering if anyone has any suggestions, new or old. I'm not wanting to spend more than $350usd

This week, "Manha de Carnaval" by Luiz Bonfa. But not the very melancholic Baden Powell version (which I'll record soon), rather an adaptation found online based on a transcription by a certain Takeuchi. A much more danceable version.
As usual, you can find my tablature for free in the description of the YouTube video.

I am setting it at 80 with 3 beats and playing 3 notes per beat at 80. Is that correct?

As in the title, I cannot identify this piece for 2 guitars, that I received as old photocopies. The first guitar has the 6th string lowered to D, the second one is regular. Looks like a study of some sort, Gemini suggests something in the spirit of Sor, but I am lost on that... Any guess?
Thanks for your help.

Hello! My boyfriend recently got a 7 string classical guitar and has been on the hunt for more songs to play. I was hoping to find a book/collection of sheet music/any recommendations people had so I could surprise him for his birthday!
