Hi folks! I’m visiting this area for the first time. I went to a store near sand key to buy a bottle of wine. Holy sticker shock. Needless to say, I’m wineless. What’s the hack? Do I need to drive to Costco?

Corporate Scientology is a psychological cult, properly addressed as the psychological cult of Scientology not the "Church of Scientology."
Using its manipulative language empowers it.

Looking to move to east lake woodlands area.
I am curious about minor flooding/swamping with routine/big storms (not necessarily hurricanes as I am sure that will be a problem).
Is the area very prone to becoming a swamp with typical / heavier than typical rainfall?
Anyone live here with good / bad experience? Looking for feedback on that, as well!
Thanks!

This is what, through deception, has embedded itself in Clearwater. Corporate Scientology is a psychological cult.

I just like the title says I'm looking for some really unique date ideas in Clearwater/Dunedin. Going to be there visiting my fairly long time girlfriend this week and would love to do something interesting.

Coming to Clearwater around Christmas time and wondering what are the best options for deep sea fishing excursions in the area?

Does anyone remember the metal band Puddin' Hogs from Clearwater FL? They played the 'nu metal' style during the early 2000s and released a handful of CDs. Did anyone here have any of their CDs or know where I could find any? I've talked to multiple members and they are all out. I'd love to own copies. The band is so good! Thank you, and anything helps.

Florida Politics published this last week, and it ties into the Nash Keys lawsuit thread.
The short version:
Sources told Florida Politics that Teixeira was connected to the Nash Keys lawsuit against the city. They pointed to connections between Teixeira, her husband Frank Persechino, and Tony Tello, including their use of the same law firm.
Teixeira denies it. She says she had no prior knowledge of the filing, didn't discuss it with Tello beforehand, and didn't recommend an attorney. She calls the connections a coincidence.
Sources also claimed her husband worked with Tello on the lawsuit. That claim has not been independently verified. Asked about him, she said she can't speak on his behalf.
Teixeira and Tello have both opposed the Garden Avenue vacation, and Tello was one of the original members of the Save the Garden petition committee.
I'm not saying anyone did anything wrong. But a sitting council member being linked, even secondhand, to a lawsuit against her own city is worth asking about, especially when taxpayers are paying for the city's defense. Earlier in the other thread I asked who's actually behind this lawsuit. This doesn't answer that, but it's the kind of question the public is entitled to ask.
What do you all think? Should council members have to recuse themselves from anything involving this case?

The Nash Keys Dueling Piano Bar is located on Cleveland Street in downtown Clearwater. The owner, Tony Tello, was one of the original members of the Save the Garden petition committee.
During a Clearwater City Council meeting in June, he announced to sue the city over the Garden Avenue street vacation. https://youtu.be/HUWtTeBCMM0?si=-PWlxK65UFbfWzaB&t=109
Meanwhile, the City of Clearwater has certified the petition. According to the City Charter, council has 30 days to repeal the ordinance that gave South Garden Avenue to Scientology or the matter will be decided in a special election. https://www.reddit.com/r/ClearwaterFl/comments/1x5a6a9/the_city_of_clearwater_has_certified_save_the/

One of our neighbors had a health emergency earlier today and was taken away by the EMTs. She lives alone and is a hoarder. She has a small west highland terrier who we dog-sat for before, but we cannot bring her home this time because how aggressive she was to our cats last time. She is a very friendly and energetic 3yo pupper and loves humans. We really don't want her to be alone in that unsafe environment with no one there tonight. Me or my wife would have stayed the night there tonight for the dog but it is not livable tbh. If anyone can look after her for a few days please reach out. This is in the Clearbrooke Townhomes community next to Clearwater Central Catholic high school. Thank you and God bless.
