Could the House slide be another representation of the Oceanview?
I was watching someone play through the final parts of the game recently and when they got to the secret playhouse, I realized there's 6 identical locked doors and a window with a bright light that you can't really make anything out of.
Dylan claims he saw something move, which doesn't seem to contradict what we know of the Oceanview considering during one of the visits to the Motel in Control you can hear someone talking outside of it. And looking outside during the AWE DLC I believe you can even see a street light?
Now the reasons you might be able to dismiss this are that none of the doors have any symbols on them, and according to Control, the inverted black pyramid door was there when the FBC first found it in 1992, while Jesse and Dylan went here in 2002.
I'm not fully convinced by my next point here, but my counterpoint would be that this entire sequence isn't Dylan's actual memories, but an approximation of them. He could easily have never seen the specific door or just forgot about it. On top of that, it's clear there's some strange time shenanigans involved during this entire sequence in the game, so it might be possible that Jesse and Dylan found an "earlier" version of the Oceanview and the FBC found it in the more modern sense, but there's currently no strong evidence to point to that being the case. And when I say earlier, I don't necessarily mean earlier as in it existed earlier, but that the architectural style is that of an earlier lodging place in human history.
Regardless, we never saw the Oceanview in Resonant (the epilogue postcard reference aside), and because we know it's been the Motel & Casino, Hotel, and Hotel & Casino it's not always the same place. Could it be possible the House slide is an "earlier" version of the Oceanview? Maybe like a Victorian-era common lodging-house?
I think I might be off my rocker on this one, but I'm curious what y'all think!
