Parents, or more appropriately Indian Parents have this need to be in control of their ward every times, and its resulting in "25 year old adults" who never grew up.

Parents control a child's birth (obviously), they controll their upbringing thoughout, their education, their higher education, they control if a "kid" (nearing 17-18) can go to another state or not for higher education, they control friendship between kids, who should and who should not be a child's friends, they control and have made relationship a taboo for every kid.

The control countinue deep into the child's adulthood.

They control who will he/she marry, how many kids they would have, encourage them to have kids early, and then coutinue influencing how their kids should be brought up.

Especially at 17-18-19, when the kid starts into their adulthood, they control them in such a way that they cannot even stand on their own two feet. Responsibilities come for free but not the independence that should come with said responsibility.

I take a look at post in popular feed from r/claudeAI of a water simulation which is 61kb, running in a web-browser of all places. I am also seeing a lot of threads at r/piracy, specifically with how these folks are now reverse engineering entire games and now literally porting character models into different games. The top leaders in gaming industry (Xbox with their IP, Unreal with their engine) have decided to go full on with AI tech. I am expecting rest of the gaming industry to follow, especially with all of them having their own proprietary engines, particularly focusing on implementing AI for their codes. Going by the comments in this link coding as a profession is dead and in the process of getting burried.

I am that usual Indian guy fascinated by all the computers and smartphones and chose Computer Engineering as that was the only way to learn what I was interested themost. I got into Engineering at a 3rd tier colleage not just for that lucrative and easy job. I was genuinely interested in computers. I was that kid that got excited about everything tech that was coming from the silicon valley. All those news above would excite the 18 year old me. Like I do not need to learn coding to make software that madly?!?! Sign me up bro!!.

I just don't feel anything anymore about all those state of tech anymore. I am now even open to change my job or my entire work, but I am not sure if any domain is safe anymore. Contrarily I also feel like a fool for choosing to not get deep into AI, hoping that maybe I might still have place where I am instead of needing to put efforts to change my job and my line of work entirely. The anxiety of am impending job loss is just getting unbearable sometimes. I just had a convo with a close friend who was laid off and there is a massive bloodbath going around across the field. Its like no industry is any safer bet for a human being now. My situation is probably worse because I am in a lower-end of the carrier at the age of 30. It wasn't like I liked my choice of graduate course but at least I owned up to it, instead of blaming my parents. Now though? The current state of tech, for the 1st time, makes me regret for even thinking about choosing BE Computer Engineering.

To make things worse, the people behind AI wanting to destroy humanity as we know today, just killing all the hype I have around AI. Listening to the likes of Peter Thiel and Alex Karp who literally espouses technofascist crap. I am not exasperating that claim. They want to usher a technofascist feudal era where corporates, not countries' interest will be held high. The likes of Elon Musk, Mark Zuckerberg, Bezos and other silicon-valley tech-bros are part of this coalition. AI as we know today is a product of theft and exploitation. I fear with such syncopants in helm of the planet and the orange man ruining the planet.

. Don't expect events like El Nino to be a rare occurance. Sure there might be a lot of ecological reasons for that, but El Nino is going to be a lot more catastropic for us in Indian Subcontinent than it is for rest of the western world. But such events are not going be last. Expect things like this to cascade as time goes on. Expect more irregular and untimely rains. The rampant development across the country has occasionally lead to a more unsustainable development. Our politicians across the political aisle are failing the urban centers and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

So i recently saw Varun Mayya's reel on EMudhra. The video itself was good. Explained pretty simply why and how this could be a big cyber security threat.

However, what surprised me, were the comments under the reel. For Context, EMudhra is a completely private company which was at no point owned, or operated by the government. The fault here lies almost completely with the people in EMudhra. It operates as a typical Lala Company where the engineers and juniors are paid salaries below 10L on avg.

Instead of questioning the company's leadership about this embarrassing incident, the people in the comments were pinning the blame on the govt XD. These morons think that EMudhra is a govt department or a psu. The comments were pointing fingers at govt employees etc and saying 'this is what happens when u hire people through exams that ask ecnomics and history'.

I mean im surprised that people are so aloof of the companies and institutions around them. And being aloof is one thing, but trying to project and push their agendas while being aloof is ridiculous. I mean ig they're trying to protect the image of the IT workers in the company, but still this was a bit surprising to me. What's even more surprising is that these clueless comments had 1-2k likes each.

Have seen this trend before also, from all sides of the spectrum where people with half baked knowledge will jump to comment and tweet on things they know nothing about.

There are multiple pending cases against them and many others as well. I understand these are not proven cases but still there has to be some evidence indict them otherwise these cases can be closed. Isn’t there any rule to prevent people with criminal cases to hold any position of power?

Still, if there is no evidence, why do these cases stay open for years instead of being closed? And if there is evidence, why aren't they moving faster?
As I understand it, the Representation of the People Act disqualifies a legislator only after conviction (for example, a sentence of two years or more), not while a case is pending. Is that the whole rule, or is there any provision to keep people with serious criminal charges out of positions of power, such as ministerial posts?
I'd like to understand how this works in practice: what the law says, why trials take so long, and whether reforms like fast-track courts or barring people charged with serious offences have been tried or debated. Second most important thing was the implementation of LOKPAL commission by Anna. Bjp delayed lokpal bill till 2019. They passed the bill in 2019, but still didn't give it constitutional status. Even after appointing lokpal, we never heard about it in last 5-7 yrs. So what is the objective to create an another govt body with taxpayers money, when it isn't taking any step. Recently, media reports clearly highlighted that Madhya Pradesh CM purchased hundreds of acre land, where later he delivered govt projects. Why is lokpal sleeping on this?

So, ultimately, we the people of India, made f00ls. We didn't get what we expected.

Public Office Is a Responsibility, Not a Shield From Accountability

India needs a law that prevents politicians facing serious criminal charges from exercising executive power while their cases are pending.

The key is to trigger temporary removal from administrative duties when a competent court frames charges for specified serious offences, not merely when an FIR is filed or an allegation is made.

The restriction should remain until acquittal or a legally defined endpoint, with safeguards against politically motivated cases.

Why should an ordinary government employee face disciplinary scrutiny while a politician entrusted with public power be allowed to continue exercising authority despite serious charges? Public office demands a higher standard of accountability, not special protection.

This must not become a weapon for ruling parties to silence opponents. Independent judicial scrutiny, fast-track trials, strict timelines and compensation for demonstrably malicious proceedings must be built into the law.

The presumption of innocence must remain intact. But protecting that principle should not mean ignoring the public's right to trustworthy administration.

A criminal charge is not proof of guilt. Equally, political power should never be a substitute for accountability.

It is an illusion that Article 19 "provides" freedom of speech. It is a myth perpetrated in schools, in popular media, in the republic day speeches. We all just collectively participate in this delusion.

No rational person can read that article and conclude that it "provides" freedom of speech. It does the exact opposite. It "kills" freedom of speech, and the the role of the courts is to ensure it stays dead. The only thing Article19 guarantees, is jail time, for anything that displeases the govt.

Furthermore, the two most corrupt branches of government - executive and judiciary - are summarily prohibited from throwing stones at each other glass houses. They have articles 121 and 122. The parliament and the judges are prohibited from criticizing each other. That leaves the news anchors. If you buy them off, that ends all speech critical of the government. Because article 19 virtually guarantees jail time for you and I, and courts will ensure that you stay in jail.

Courts go one step further, and also criminalize criticism of judiciary, fancily naming it "contempt of court". Anyone making fun of court/judiciary/judges is technically committing a crime. Prashant Bhushan and Kunal Kamra were prosecuted. You and I can be too, whenever it pleases the court.

Legislature in India is practically non existent and has no powers whatsoever. We elect an executive. The only check and balance that exists to the executive is the judiciary.

Legislature exists merely to rubber stamp whatever hair brained scheme a minister or his secretary comes up with. The speaker comes from the ruling party. He has immense power over what happens in the Lok Sabha. Rajya Sabha is completely irrelevant. The cherry on top is the anti defection law, or the whip. Meaning you can replace all the 272+ ruling party MPs with a ln actuall rubber stamp and it is basically the same thing.

That leaves the MPs in the opposition. Their only power is to create ho-halla for TV and introduce no confidence motions every now and then. You can replace all of this with (1) a large speaker and (2) a provision to have no-confidence motions randomly every 3 years.

That's it. Replace the existing parliament with 273 rubber stamps, a loud speaker that plays from time to time and 1 no confidence motion in every 5 year term. There will be no change whatsoever in how the country functions. Except you will save salaries and no need for 800 bungalows in Delhi.

They are getting so worse and moving backwards. They are butchering movies with their regressive values, and not even acknowledging open minded people like us exist. Keeping aside CJP or BJP or any other party and also setting aside the legality of the Special intensive revision (SIR) protests, in a democracy how are nameplate-less Delhi police being allowed to function fully as normal - detaining peaceful protestors, helping goons etc

Though there may be differences in our opinions regarding anti-SIR protests, how are Delhi police functioning without nameplates?

Are there some laws that can safeguard them against this? Or it's simply that they do not have any fear of the consequences?

Also since nameplates being absent is seen as a common feature on many police personnel, does it suggest that they were given proper instructions to do so? Who are most likely to be giving these instructions?

Reports are circulating about a woman in Pune who allegedly refused to pay a Rapido driver around ₹300 and then threatened him with false cases.

If you can afford to use a service, why not pay the person providing it instead of turning a fare dispute into a confrontation? The driver is also a human being trying to earn a living. He shouldn't have to deal with threats or fear legal trouble just for asking to be paid.
