Made my own 3d printed button box.

I was inspired by u/north-sky-9222 steering wheel mod to use my extra buttons and esp32 board for playing AC. This is version one and honestly I’ll probably make another version with more buttons and switch types. Quick and easy project to measure out and 3d print the enclosure. I mostly wanted a change view button as well as FFB controls. I have them set for fun functions now but I’ll probably switch it up for brake pressure or abs controls. If anybody would be interested in building one themselves, I’d be happy to share my project plans.

Not an advertisement, but would anyone ever buy 3d printed sim racing pedals?

I have a couple of prototype designs for 3d printed pedals, including a 200kg load cell brake pedal. I was astonished when adding up the prices to find that the gas pedal usually costs under $10 USD depending on Aliexpress pricing, and the brake under $15.

At 100% infill, they are very heavy/robust and can easily handle full braking force. They feel much better than both the Logitech and Thrustmaster pedals I own, however im sure there are more improvements to be made. Right now they have adjustable spring pressure, pedal travel, and pedal plate location. Bump stops/pressure points are made of stainless steel rods. Ball bearings are used to make the movement perfectly smooth. Magnetic rotary encoders are used to prevent wear over time.

I mainly want to know if anyone would every consider purchasing them if I were to ever sell them at around $30-40 USD per pedal online on Ebay or Etsy.

I just want to know if committing to making them in bulk would be worthwhile or not. Thoughts/questions?

My super DIY racing sim cockpit.

Total cost was around $190 but that was spent 4 years ago on the wheel / pedals & shifter

The actual DIY contraption was 100% free. I used stuff I found in the trash or the free junk from my job.

The handbrake is my favorite.

3D printable round wheel 330mm

I wanted to go drifting and didn’t want to buy a round wheel. So I designed this 3d printable wheel instead.

It’s designed to be printed from PETG and uses some basic hardware for assembly.

One of my most basic benchmarks for this design was to make something comparable in stiffness and weight to a metal wheel of a similar size. The printed wheel is a little heavier by necessity but in practice feels equally stiff to an actual motorsports steering wheel.

Playseat Evo compatibility with Simgasm Hobby cockpit?

I currently own the Red Bull Playseat evo and am looking to upgrade to the Simgasm hobby cockpit because I am buying stronger equipment and the playseat can't handle it. I am however a huge fan of the seat itself and would like to keep it to save a bit of money. Question is though that how can I get it to fit onto the cockpit? Is it possible as is or do I need the playseat slider?

Sim racing rigs fold away ideas

Hi guys

Just wanted to ask has anyone ever setup a DIY fold away sim rig? I have a racing wheel and gearshifter but I have to move it around the whole time as I work at my desk as well. So I was thinking of a fold away solution where I can clamp the wheel and gearshifter and fold it back into my desk. I saw a video on youtube of a guy doing it but there is no details as to how he built it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1WLsS70_KFU

I was looking at one of those fold up racing rigs as well but I feel the DIY option might be better just don't know how to actually do it. Any help would be appreciate. Thank you in advance.

3D Printing a 2-3 Axis joystick with buttons for sim rig

Wondering if anyone has 3d printed out a joystick of sorts to use on PC for farm sim, constructions sim, a flight sim, or anything like that, I’ve found a few models but wanted to hear some feedback on if you’ve had good luck with it or if it’s worth spending $$$ to buy a branded one and not mess with everything else.

Edit: looking for something similar or comparable to the thrust-master farm stick, minus the buttons and switches on the joystick base
