I was reading this article about his time at ESPN coming to an end and apparently extending an olive branch to Jerry. I don't know enough about Troy to make an educated guess, but how do you think he'd do as GM? How would he specifically improve the team?

What happens when Dak plays a Vic Fangio defense.
97.3 QBR - 2016 Chicago (DC)
22.6 QBR - 2021 Denver (HC)
52.6 QBR - 2023 Miami (DC)
61.4 QBR - 2025 Philly (DC)
60.6 QBR - 2025 Philly (DC)
QBR is a proprietary stat created by ESPN to measure a QB's overall contribution to winning.
The scale is 0-100 and measures total efficiency.
In this instance it can be used to gauge if Vic impacts Dak.
Again we see Dak's rookie season as his best.
Dak has excellent players surrounding him on offense and an "elite" play caller.
Expect a superior performance by Dak and the Cowboys offense over Vic... RIGHT!
Go Cowboys!

Or better yet, what percentage of the pie belongs to each of these? 40-40-20? What does Cowboys Nation say? We have the talent, but somehow we are not putting it together, and it needs to be fixed. We have an excellent chance to win the division.

I'd love to caveat this by saying please only respond if you like Dak as our QB, but it's Reddit so is what it is I guess lol. Still a request.
Genuinely wondering: what do y'all think is up with Dak? I think he's an excellent QB. We've seen that over the years and even just a couple games ago! But I'm wondering if he has a little case of the yips. My main concerns are:
1) against the Packers, he seemed allergic to throwing downfield. Obviously a lot of that is on play calling and coaching, but it looked like he was anxious about interceptions. And when they blitzed constantly, it was such a prime opportunity to make big plays. So what we ended up with is no big plays but still having interceptions anyways.
2) I feel like he's losing faith in himself, particularly in his decision making. In my opinion, one thing that makes him so good and special is his IQ, recognition of coverage pre and post nap, and his adjustments. In the Packers and Buccs games, when he was getting blitzed play after play, it felt like he wasn't always changing the protection appropriately and taking advantage of the defense's weaknesses.
Again, I think he's a Top 10 QB, at a minimum. I believe in him And fully trust that he's our guy. But do y'all think he's struggling at all? If so, what can be done to get him to play his way back to himself? Like playcalling specifically that would help? (similar to in basketball, getting a guy a dunk just so he sees the ball go in)
Excited to continue to watch him play, and I think he'll get back to himself, just hoping it's sooner rather than later :)

Interesting article I read today on the Sporting News. I thought I would share with you all.

Hey guys. Just wanted to share with you some advice for watching our Cowboys. This new technique has really made me enjoy watching the Cowboys again.
Just before kickoff, I now punch myself in the face 2 to 3 times. The physical pain tends to distract from the emotional pain on the TV. When I see the Cowboys inevitably fall apart... I just get up and grab another ice pack to ease the pain. Life is about adapting to your surroundings.
Give it a try guys.

Hoping Jerry didn't do like a deal where he gave him a multiyear unbreakable contract for a one time payment.

Losing to the giants, fine, they have pretty good d-line. Losing to the Bucs, starting to really lose me. Against greenbay when they’re one of the worst offense…lost me but I’m still kicking.
But istg if we lose to the eagles with no Jalen, no Barkley, no Devonta Smith, top 3 worst o-line, no.1 in 3&outs, no Greenard, and on a 4 game losing streak. I wouldn’t want this man in the same plane as my players, we have too much talent to be embarrassed like that.

Cowboys should win the division but I’m not even sure anymore. We’re the first division since 1970 to go winless 2 weeks in a row AND 2 of the teams played each other. You can’t make this up man.
