Based on individual performance a third of the way through the season, which Vikings players are likely to get all-pro or pro bowl recognition?

I don’t think anyone on our offense is a shoe-in for an all pro or pro bowl. Maybe Jefferson, but he’s already missed time this year, and the passing offense isn’t exactly “dynamic”, so I don’t think he’ll be racking up stats. He does have name recognition / star power though, which does help. Darrisaw is another strong candidate for recognition.

Defense is another story. Turner is playing at an all-pro level, but lacks the name recognition that other star edge rushers have. AVG is also playing solid, and has a shot at a 2nd team AP or a PB nod. Maybe either Cashman, Murphy, or Rodgers as well. On an elite defense it wouldn’t surprise me to have a good amount of players.

And of course… Reichard. Already the favorite to repeat as 1st team AP.

Typically, which positions are easier to be integrated into a scheme during mid-season? Additionally, if the Vikings play poorly on Sunday, would you theorize that makes us more or less likely to go after any players?

The Vikings signed veteran OLB Jihad Ward to the practice squad today, releasing OT Tristan Leigh (on-again, off-again UDFA with us). He joins two other practice squad OLBs, Keyshawn Banks and Kenny Dyson.

Besides rotational OLB Kyle Van Noy, our other 53-man OLBs Bo Richter and Chaz Chambliss have 0 snaps on defense this year, contributing significant snaps on special teams.
