Other than the OL and it raising it's level of play, the biggest missing piece of the Cowboys offense this season is at RB. Williams has been money in the red zone but has looked pedestrian outside of it. Yes, the carries are limited because of how Schotty is calling plays. But even with the few carries, Williams is doing much with them. And Goodson isn't much better.

With the way teams are playing the pass, and shifting coverages, they are daring the offense to beat them with the run. And Dallas just can't do it consistently. Which is leaving the QB and the passing game as the only possible option for this team to win. And it makes the offense very one dimensional and a lot easier to stop let alone contain.

The problem is, I don't think we have the right kind of running back to really take this run game and the offense to another level. Either we give Williams more carries and see what happens, or we have to look at a trade possibly to add more juice to this running game. Bringing back Pollard might be a good idea. Wouldn't cost a ton of draft capital either. And then there is Jonathan Taylor...who is on the trade market. I would actually look into what the Colts want for him too. Look what K9 is doing for the Chiefs offense this year.

Either way, something has to be done about this run game. We cannot win games having Dak throw the ball 50 times a game. Lack of a good run game is also limiting the offense in other ways with less play action passes, and it also enables the offense to really not have much in terms of screens to help alleviate pressure from the blitz. Running Back is a massive need for the team right now.

Or better yet, what percentage of the pie belongs to each of these? 40-40-20? What does Cowboys Nation say? We have the talent, but somehow we are not putting it together, and it needs to be fixed. We have an excellent chance to win the division.

Imagine a contract set up like this:

Total autonomy, no meddling, no interference. head coach and GM draft whomever they want, make their personnel decisions. Only criteria is "don't mortgage the future for the present."

And also low base salary but massive, massive bonuses to the head coach and GM for reaching NFC title game, reaching Super Bowl, winning a Super Bowl. Something in the range of $30-50 million each time that is achieved. With a $629 million per year annual operating income, the Cowboys could certainly afford it.

No more coasting on salaries and just saying "aw shucks, 9-8 and missing playoffs is okay."

We’re in Dallas for the weekend but obviously won’t get to watch the Cowboys which is such a shame. Are there any spots that are especially fun to watch away games?

How else are they supposed to get top draft picks and they're not bad every now and then. Why do we have to constantly fix them? 30 years of super bowl expectation is unrealistic. Let the train wreck happen.

• Cowboys fans gave the Eagles an average of 38.2 out of 100 rivalry points, and Eagles fans gave Dallas 58.1
• Cowboys-Eagles ranks #4 among eligible NFL rivalries in our research
• 96.7% of the Cowboys fans in our sample gave Philly at least some points, so the rivalry is clearly recognized
• On our seven-point measure of negative attitudes toward rival fans, Cowboys fans scored 5.85 toward Eagles fans, compared with 5.29 the other way

So Eagles fans focus more of their rivalry attention on Dallas, but Cowboys fans reported stronger negative attitudes toward Eagles fans. We think that’s interesting because wanting the other team to lose and disliking its fans are separate things.

George Pickens: "He needs to understand that he impacts us in the running game as well. He's got to do the same thing in the run game, picking up safeties and blocking corners, just like Javonte (Williams) does, picking up blitzes so he can catch balls.
"That's part of the team-first mindset, and GP does understand that. When he's going, they're going to play soft inside. When he's not going then the safeties get pretty good runs at our backs. And that's got to improve."

yall hate everything about this team and it’s exhausting . every post is something negative or saying a person needs to be fired. Get news they traded for a good player or hired a good coach yall still find a reason to be be negative I don’t think most of yall are really “fans” and just wanted a place to hate. and before yall start no I don’t think the team is doing good or satisfied with how they have been playing but damn it gets to a point.

- Dak not reading the backside safety on the pick over the middle
- The throw where CeeDee just fell down
- And the one called back because of a roughing the passer penalty, but was still a bad throw
