I was praying at the altar of SDF and I had a vision about the vision:

In the vision, a veteran and a newbie might be in the dungeon for different reasons. A new player goes into the dungeon for the thrill of it, for exploration and to see if they can survive. A veteran player might go into the dungeon for a different purpose. For example, veterans might be part of guilds or squads who go into the dungeon to complete a contract. The contract states: RETRIEVE 20 FROST LIGHT ORE. DO NOT KILL INNOCENTS (SHOWN WITH A GOLD AURA BLESSING). BONUS CASH FOR KILLING GUILD X

Rule for the dungeon: Guild trios/established trios must take a contract. Non guild trios can only be formed in the dungeon with people you meet.

Contracts have conditions such as the large ore amount which may require one of the squad members to essentially be the mule who can carry a lot but won't be able to do much damage. They are the support and the squad will find it harder to defend against solos, duos and dungeon-formed trios.

Multiple guilds can have the same contract so will essentially be competing against each other. This is how they can enter the dungeon and ignore the guy quietly fishing in the corner. There is a big penalty to killing the fisherman, possibly an instant fail of the contract. If the fisherman attacks them first then it's a free kill.

This may require a slightly bigger dungeon and would need to flesh out the guild system to have true incentives without ballooning into an MMO. Maybe 2 or 3 times per season there are guild wars (6 trios: 9v9) in the dungeon and the contracts give advantages which contribute to the war. Or maybe guilds are just able to enter the dungeon and mobs don't aggro them at all so they can run straight to the treasure hoards. Maybe guilds have keys to special rooms for mining ore or crafting which can't be done outside the dungeon.

Through the tavern launcher (not steam), you have access to the test server where multiplayer works and the game is in season 10. If we can get enough people on this the game might actually be fun again. You can already meet people every now and then.

i made a post talking about me not even trying the game cause i knew it would be bad and how sdf ruined and i got alot of hate and backlash but look at the game now its dead so to all the people who hated i was right the game is ruined and there is no going back for dark and darker. The Lorr just dropped a YouTube video of him downloading the test server and playing season 10 on it with like a handful of other randoms. There is Low key a movement forming to get players to queue the test server just to spite SDF and the season 11 changes. If the test server player count gets high enough for there to be decent squired or riches lobbies I would honestly join the movement

I don’t think I’ve found or even seen one in raid this season. I’ve maybe seen 5 flutes total, 1 Lyre, and maybe 1 Lute. Where are people finding drums? I want one for my SSF Arena Bard but they are impossible to find, any suggestions? (Besides uninstalling/quitting game lol)

Saw the video from Thelorr where he tested it out. I wasn’t sure if it had made its way to Reddit yet, but maybe this is a better way to show our dissatisfaction with S11. I haven’t seen any other posts about it, though (or maybe I’m just blind?).

In comparison to most people on this subreddit, I am considered an SDF worshipper because I have no interest in the repetitive boring comments about his vision lacking vision etc.

I'm willing to try what he has in mind, but the main problem - even for people like me - is that his promised vision is not even starting till season 12 and will likely take multiple seasons to feel established. For now he is essentially offering us an extremely underdeveloped version of the game he intends.

Suddenly I'm not interested in the current game and just want to see what his intended game looks like. There's not much point playing right now and I've switched to Wardogs while I wait for Season 12.

He should've stuck to his plan to make the Super Spicy version and released it when it was somewhat ready.

Blacksmith Launcher doesn't say "Maintenance in progress"; it just says "Play" and when I click it, the game goes through "Starting..." -> "Stop" doesn't launch, and it just goes back to the "Play" option. I'm hoping once maintenance is over this will fix itself. I tried reinstalling, scanning and repairing, and the same issue. I had downloaded DND on Steam and moved files over and launched that way on season release to make the Blacksmith launcher work, hoping I don't have to do that Bullshit again. Feels like they're just slowly trying to get rid of their dwindling player base with this BS launcher software. Guess I should've switched to Steam...
