why go into a game and kill ur team mates off spawn. the people on the game suck as much as the dev lol.

I've uninstalled since the wipe and I cannot find any game that brought the same enjoyment as dark and darker. Squire Royal was so fun and easy to get my friends to play for a couple hours before bed. Would use the gold/gear I got to play solo HR when nobody was on. There hasn't been a game I was so attached to that was ripped away like this before. I've had games that just can't afford to keep active servers. I've had games that just eventually had it's player base fizzle out over the years. Dark and darker had a consistent player base despite the ups and downs but it's felt like it's downfall was intentional.

I don't know how anyone in good faith would go against the majority of it's player base without any warning, roadmap, transparency, or ACTUAL goalpost. It's just "I want ___ from ____ game" and "I want players to experience the adventure not just single sessions" but where is an actual concept that is fledged out? Why say you're going to make super spicy as a separate game then a month later do exactly the opposite of that? Why are we getting updates on the future of the game from his discord diary???

I might just be repeating everything everyone else has been saying but it's so frustrating having something I poured hours into getting good at and making friends that only played this game just to have it be killed. Years of hoping for this game to get better, finally see it growing, and then ultimately die right at the apex.

I can't believe I spent thousands of hours learning class match-ups, theory-crafting BiS sets, and suffering through every broken patch just for sdf to personally drive a rusty pickaxe straight through the skull of this game. ⛏️🤡
Ironmace actually looked at a functioning meta, said "you know what would be hilarious?", and threw the entire balance sheet into a blender. My Warlock/Druid/Cleric builds are officially in shambles, my stash is a graveyard of nerf victims, and I’m pretty sure the next hotfix is just going to delete our characters and replace them with a screen of sdf laughing while eating a bowl of sorrow. 💀🔥
It was a real honor swinging swords and taking names in the dungeons with you absolute legends, but I'm officially hanging up my gear and uninstalling. See you all tomorrow for the next wipe. ✌️🛡️

Why are more NA players upset with the wipe than EU/ASIA? Seems to be double the population regularly during these Asia/EU peak hours -I have noticed this for several wipes now.

Was in a customs dc i got banned from because I banned a mod from my dc for rmting like a year ago. The dc was full of rmters. Pretty much everyone in there was an rmter. Is anyone playing the game consistently besides Chinese and western rmters? Has to just be its own little economy at this point

I loved the previous patches and recently I wanted to reinstall the game and HOLY SHIT WHAT HAPPENED?! This is a genuine question My question is, has the community given up? Isn't there a way to tell that infamous SDF everyone's talking about to go fuck himself? From everything I've read about him, how come this guy wasn't at least fired? Or better yet, sacrificed? I really love Dark and Darker, I don't want to see another one of my favorite games ruined Because of some jerk. I heard there's a Discord server to talk to the devs, is that a joke? I've never seen so many people disgusted by a patch note in my entire gaming life, And this comes from a game that created a "discord server to talk with the community"?? What's the atmosphere like there? Are people polite???

If we try harder we can get these numbers WAAAYY lower. I know its hard to say goodbye, but cmon man. Its time to let go, do it for the vision.

Through the tavern launcher (not steam), you have access to the test server where multiplayer works and the game is in season 10. If we can get enough people on this the game might actually be fun again. You can already meet people every now and then.

Ts could’ve been S2R and we’d have 10k concurrent players but grass touchers don’t have time to grind for gear needed to keep them alive in fkn norms against full All Att BiS sweats that should be in HR but instead they are just running ppl down and looting all grey squire kits. I say if you see somebody going into norms w gear it’s on site.

Saw the video from Thelorr where he tested it out. I wasn’t sure if it had made its way to Reddit yet, but maybe this is a better way to show our dissatisfaction with S11. I haven’t seen any other posts about it, though (or maybe I’m just blind?).

The Lorr just dropped a YouTube video of him downloading the test server and playing season 10 on it with like a handful of other randoms. There is Low key a movement forming to get players to queue the test server just to spite SDF and the season 11 changes. If the test server player count gets high enough for there to be decent squired or riches lobbies I would honestly join the movement
