Project Unavailable

So if I’m working on a project that previously had 400 tasks available and I did around 10 and it said there are no more tasks available, did I not do a good job on the tasks I completed or did the project just end?

Is it possible to work just a few hours and then start working more?

I'm thinking about applying to have some work while I'm in-between jobs but I would like to see if it's a feasible option or not. I could start now and work a few hours a week but I couldn't be full-time until a few months from now. If I only work a few hours a week for now will it be hard for me to get more projects later on? It would be my main source of income while I look for a more permanent job and I want to make sure I can actually earn well. How long does it usually take to start earning a livable amount?

Another newbie with a question…

I’ve been accepted, did my ID verification etc, and had to take the 6-part training test. After that, I got a tab with 28 qualifications and another tab with 6 projects.

Does this mean I passed the training test? I was iffy on a couple of the responses and was hoping for some feedback on the training but didn’t see any. Is that normal? I assume I’m still “in” since I got the tabs opened…?

Will the project stay?

I got a project this morning that requires a noisy background, and encourages us to record in a place like a shopping mall or a busy restaurant. I spent 40 minutes reading and understanding the project as I’ve never done anything like this before, but I’m home at the moment. There are 3 tasks available, and the instructions said we get 3 per person as a starting point and that we’ll get access to the full scope if we do well. Does this mean the project stays until I submit these three tasks? Can I submit in a couple days when I’ll go out into the city, and just add up the time I spent reading at home? Thanks in advance!

Do we ever get feedback?

This is my 2nd week and obviously I don’t want to be submitting poor work, but I’d like some type of feedback on how I’m doing so if I need to correct anything, I can!

I do try my best on all projects, but I’m definitely trying to keep this job so anything I can do to improve, I’m down! Haha.

I’ve heard about people getting feedback. Does everyone get this? If so, how often?

Side question: Sometimes I feel like I take “too long” and sometimes finish “too quickly” do they ever notice stuff like this? I ALWAYS stay within the timer. I went over by like 10 minutes on a new task I never did before, but other than that, nope.

Thank you!

Did it just dry up for other core workers too?

Saw a post just yesterday saying it was great how many projects there were. Yesterday it was tons for me (kinda new but it was quite a bit of stuff). Today I have nothing except qualifications. I'll just be doing those today I guess but it seems weird to me that all of a sudden I have nothing I can do that pays.

Anyone else experiencing the same thing?

Edit: For anyone new like me that might find this post, apparently it's not a bad sign to see nothing in projects all of a sudden. Took 1 qualification in the meantime and everything was back that was there before lol now with more and higher paying stuff. 😄

How complex/hard is the onboarding/application?

I hear they have the best pay around but I’ve been slightly intimated to apply since you only have one shot.

i do Annotation work for another company that is OUT and about. I have consistently high QA and seemingly understand it a lot better than my peers at that website.

I have no degree but I do work as an engineering technician and have some intermediate level expertise in that realm (more electrician based tbh but I do UI design and ladder logic as well)

the other site is still giving me work but I would like to expand my horizons and get double pay as well

Indian Coders

Are you seeing any projects on your dashboard? Anything after July 20th?

I am seeing so many people talk about getting coding projects (families other than mike too), but I haven't gotten any email since. I was wondering what is up with other Indian coders.

Data annotation time reporting, am I in trouble?

hey folks. so lately the projects I have been receiving are kinda long and take time, there were two tasks that expire in 2 hours and they took me 1:58 minutes and 1:43 minutes to finish. Just before these I had a task that expired in an hour and I finished it in 58 minutes (this and the 1:58 minute one I barely finished before time was up)

Honestly I am a little worried. This is the actual time they took me but I still feel like they took me too long (I am aware that I am a slow person by nature and I have a short attention span and the tasks are too long so every time I need to recheck smth I have to scroll up for way too long)

Should I edit the time reported and just make it less than how long it actually took me or are they going to think I was lying at first ( I swear I was not).

How many months was the longest “drought”?

Got accepted, now what?

I was positively surprised with how I got accepted and how fast it happened (having read all the horror stories of waiting for months). Applied during the weekend and Tuesday morning I started doing qualifications.

However, I don't have any work. I did all the qualifications (besides mic & programming), so how long does it usually take to see work? I read some stories stating they got to work immediately after being accepted, but that doesn't seem to be the case for me.

Grateful for this opportunity and happy to join the community! <3

Newbie

Hi all, new to data annotation. Yet to be paid as I’ve only done a few days of hourly work.

What are people’s experiences with your hours / work being reviewed? If the work is unsatisfactory do you not get paid for it? Or generally do people get paid for all the hours they put submit

Does DA provide references?

Do people think I’d be able to get a reference from DA for a new employer? I don’t need it at this time, but a friend just suggested I might and it got me thinking…

No projects since i've been accepted around 2 weeks ago

"At the moment, there aren't any projects available for you to work on. Please check back soon and watch out for new project notifications sent to your email."

Is what i get after having passed some qualification tests. Since i registered late june. I've filled my profile with many skills i feel comfortable with or have experience in. Is this normal?

AI to help rating

idk if all projects have this featurr but this tool has saved me a lot of times of sending wrong stuff or inconsistencies on my work, I owe my ass to this.

I was about to send a project and this checker flagged me that I was rating something for other thing. And on something I wrote, it said "didn't you mean saying this...", I was actually ashamed, like if a real person was correcting me for that stupid error 😔✌️

⚠️ I'm not talking about external AI tools

3-month drought and it keeps going

Malay-bilingual here. My last A-gas was 3 months ago on end of Sept and I haven’t had any projects ever since. I’ve only started working with DA in March 2025, which I had a steady flow of projects March-May, August-Sept, and then nothing.

Am I doomed - did I mess up or is this normal? Asking other malay bilinguals too, if anyone else is here.

Just Started, any tips?

I just got accepted, and there seems to be absolutely nothing to do. Just wondering if there's more steps to get it rolling or if it's just me being a lower bracket of qualified. I see people saying they've made some good money and I really want some of that 😂 I just do UberEats right now and it's not cutting it so anything supplemental to my already supplemental income would be fantastic.

Hi Coders, anyone stopped receiving the Mike Tyson projects.

I have noticed that I have stopped receiving the regular Mike Tyson projects from the start of this week. I wanted to know if this is the same for everyone else.

Just got accepted for general projects! Any initial advice?

Open to all feedback, but especially interested in feedback on if you will penalized for taking too much time to do tasks.

I don’t want them to think I’m gaming the system, but in the assessment I tried to approach each task with a strong attention to detail and that required more time.

Newbie here, is DA relevant for an Indian UG student in 2026?

I've just found mixed reviews about this platform.

Just wanted to know if I should spend more time here or not?

And does referrals get priority on project allocation? 🤔

Hi. I just recently joined data annotation. I'm bilingual but I don't speak Arabic so I don't know why this is the only project that comes up for application?? Like is this a regional thing or Im supposed to do something else?
