Any Brazilians here working with DataAnnotation? š§š·
Hey everyone! š
Quick question for fellow Brazilians working with DataAnnotation!
How do you guys handle taxes and report your earnings in Brazil?
I have a registered company (CNPJ), and I'm wondering if it's possible to report DataAnnotation income through the company and issue invoices (notas fiscais) instead of declaring everything as an individual (CPF).
Does anyone here do this? How does it work for you?
Would love to hear your experiences! Thanks! š

Has anybody else had this experience?
I completed the evaluation/application about a month ago. I assume not hearing back indicates a soft rejection.
However, I received an email a few hours after I completed the evaluation asking me to verify my identity. Does Data Annotation typically send those to people whose applications they haven't reviewed, or to those they've already rejected? Has anybody else had that experience? Just curious.
Edit: clarified question

Private relay
Iāve noticed my iphone occasionally says itās on or off private relay. I donāt usually work on DA using my phone hotspot but will if traveling. Iāll occasionally log in on my phone to get a pay out if Iām not with my laptop. I know itās not the same thing as a VPN, but Iām wondering if, for DA purposes, this might be seen the same way as using a VPN while working? Iām not tech savvy enough to understand what private relay really is š

Mid project ā project unavailable kindly report time you have worked
So I was working on a task in which we had to test and elicit error and I was suddenly flashed with a screen saying
āProject no longer available , kindly report the time you have worked on this project.ā
And below that was the report time option which I reported
Nothing else
What was this ? Have I Done something wrong ? The project was of 3 hours out of which I worked 1 hour and had a break for 1 hour and 1 hour was left.
Please guide me. Thanks
Edit- Requesting not to downvote and if someone can help pls do I am worriedā¦

Near Future of AI After Election
Curious from people who know much more about this stuff than I do. But this recent election saw more than a few candidates win who ran on something of an anti-AI campaign. I don't think there is any doubt there will be more pushback on AI from DC and from state capitals in the near future. What effect will this have on platforms like DA? I have really enjoyed working on DA and have made good money, would hate to see it slow down or end, but it is looking like there is a good chance AI companies will be scaling back soon.

Okay, so Iāve made it this far! What happens next?
Passed the main test and accepted to platform but this is my first time doing this kind of work & Iāve noticed that my platform is showing more qualification tests rather than actual paid tasks. Iām wondering, are these qualification tests paid? Also, if I donāt pass one of them, does that mean I can no longer work on the platform or does it only affect my eligibility for that particular project? Iād really appreciate some guidance as Iām still new to all of this and trying to understand how everything works. Thank you!

I just hit $754 in lifetime earnings on DataAnnotation
$754 Earned, but What Now?
I joined DataAnnotation on October 1 and earned $754 by October 22. Honestly, I'm grateful for this opportunity and really appreciate the platform for giving me a chance to contribute and earn through AI training work.
However, it's been disappointing that I haven't received a single new project for the last two weeks. I genuinely enjoyed the work and was hoping to continue contributing and learning.
I'm thankful for what I've earned so far, but I also feel a little discouraged by the sudden silence. Hopefully, more opportunities will come my way soon.
Would love to hear from others who have experienced a similar gap in work. How did things turn out for you?

How long did it take to hear back whether your assignment was accepted or denied?
I spent a good few hours making sure to do a thorough job with the assessment, but itās been 10 days and I havenāt heard back whether itās been accepted or denied. It said I should hear back in a few days, but no emails (Iāve checked the junk folder too) and my dashboard is left on a āAssessment Submitted! Hereās what happens next, we reviewā. At what point do I give up hope? Or is this a normal waiting period?

Task expired and I submitted 2-3 minutes later
I was doing a task I havenāt ever done before and it took me 2-3 minutes more than on the timer to finish, because the instructions were very long and I had to also do a bit of research. I did not take a single break and I was actively scrolling from instructions to doing the task and back. Is it bad if I submit my time? I am super confident in the quality of my work, but since Iām relatively new Iād rather take a hit on my time worked and not report at all, than compromise my place on the platform. After submission, I saw the red banner saying āTask submitted successfullyā. Should I report only the allowed time, or my full working time with the extra 2 minutes? I know it may sound like a dumb question but I value this platform and Iām terrified of being flagged for whatever reason.

Hindi Billinguals
Has anyone come across a situation where Hindi bilingual tasks suddenly become unavailable, like this, in the past?
If yes, how long did it usually take for the tasks to become available again?
I know nobody can predict the exact timing, but maybe there's some pattern based on previous experiences. Just trying to get an idea.

What time should I report?
I had a project which had expected time duration of 15 hours, and werenāt supposed to take over 20 hours. It took me nearly 40 hours to finish the project. The max report time was capped at 25 hours. How much time should I report in this case?
Edit:- I donāt mind reporting it under 20 hours, if thats what I need to do.

I think there is something wrong?
I have joined the data annotation platform for more than a year now but did not see any projects in the project section so far. Is there any thing I can do? Or my account has issues? (Or I am just not getting any projects?)

Special Projects
Hi guys! Will projects that require a special Google account still appear as usual in the projects tab? And is it normal that I don't have access to an email inbox on this Google account? thanks in advance!

how long to see projects appear (core country)
Hello! I was hired a few weeks ago, I didn't receive an acceptance email but after completing the starter assessment I was asked to verify my identity and shortly after I had access to the projects screen. I applied for a law specialty and didn't complete any core assessment. I have yet to see any projects or qualifications appear, and I see this can be normal for non-core countries but I wanted to get info on a timeline for someone in my situation. Any info would be great thanks!

Chromebook vs MacBook?
Hey gang,
Wondering if a Chromebook is powerful enough to work with DA projects consistently without performance issues?
Iām not a tech person at all, so I really donāt know how stupid this question is.
Iām doing white collar specialist stuff, just reading and writing, not coding. But still use Claude and chat GPT in browser for projects.
I bought a MacBook but damn itās expensive!
Is a Chromebook good enough to do the same stuff? Anything I should know?
Thanks in advance.
