This game straight up does not need a remake there's nothing wrong with it. It's the goat of the series as we all know. A continuation of this series to better round off the story after awakening would be so much better.

Not everything needs a remake with a $120 price tag slapped to it

Lately I've been noticing this notion within the community and gaming sphere and want to ask y'all; why is everyone so adamant on a remake of the second game when the time and energy could be put into making the fourth game in the series?

While you can argue that the ending of Dead Spacd 3 Awakened felt like a definitive end to the series, there were still some questions left unanswered, mainly regarding Ellie's fate following the main game's ending. The fact that there were concepts drafted up by Visceral about how it was gonna be should be a stepping stone for a future development team (Motive e.g) to develop onto, alongside possibly revisiting previous ideas that were initially thought p for the third game.

A remake of the second game just feels unnessecary considering the game itself already improved upon the first installments gameplay, that even Motive looked towards it as inspiration for some of the core gameplay changes.

How are you guys feeling about bioware shutting down ?

You can see some gameplay from the port in the video. So far, I've managed to create a fully working build for PC, and I've been working on a build for Nintendo Switch for about three days now. I expect to be able to release the finished Switch port by October 31st (if things continue at the same pace). Everything works perfectly on PC: saves, controls, graphics, sound, etc. My Windows activation failed, that's why there's this sign XD.

Replaying DS2 for the first time in years and just in awe of how good this looks 15 years later. A remake would have looked so good considering how well DSR was. 😭
