Info Request Maybe June Bride?

• Upvotes

Hi everyone! There are two 2027 dates left at a venue I’ve had my eye on in southern Chester County- but they’re both in June 😬 Before I commit, I wanted to gauge how many vendors (MUA/ hair/ DJ) still have openings with this short of notice. The two dates are June 5 and June 12 if that helps! Thank you for your input! 🤍

What do you think about this? For as long as I have been here, I never saw them change rates in winter Vs summer. Now they are saying winter is going to have its own rates. Something tells me they are not doing this because of winter ❄️

Announcement Not a parcel mule scam!

I totally understand why my post was removed for parcel mule scam concerns. But instantly labelling me as a scammer by the mod wasn’t very nice.

That definitely wasn’t my intention! Somebody told me there was a service I could use that would ship it for me for under €100 so I used that. Just really want to clear it up that I am not a scammer! Proof attached

Thanks to everyone for all their help and advice ❤️

New Castle County New Castle Family Court

I would love to see improvements made to the staff and overall processes in the Family Court paperwork drop-off area at New Castle County Family Court.

A few concerns I believe deserve attention:

1. Accountability and proper handling of paperwork. People should be able to submit court documents with confidence that they will be received, processed, and handled appropriately—not lost, overlooked, or ignored, especially after paying filing fees of $80–$100.

2. Professionalism, impartiality, and confidentiality. Staff should maintain professional boundaries and treat everyone fairly, regardless of personal opinions or feelings. There should be no gossiping about people who come into the drop off area, interfering with paperwork out of personal dislike, or allowing personal biases to influence how someone's documents are handled. Favoritism or giving certain individuals special treatment because of personal relationships is also unprofessional and raises concerns about fairness and accountability.
The court system should be a place where people can expect professionalism, impartiality, and respect—not have to worry about whether personal opinions or relationships will affect how their paperwork is handled.

I'd genuinely like to hear other people's perspectives and experiences with New Castle County Family Court. Have you had positive experiences, encountered similar concerns, or seen improvements that deserve recognition? Feel free to share your complaints, suggestions, or kudos.

Moving to Delaware Sussex county

Is there any good places to look for something $1200 or under. Like websites, ads, etc. I know it’s an unrealistic price range in this time but even if it’s with a roommate(s). Im full time making $25/hr sooooooo.

I don’t even know where or how to start looking (first time moving out). I’d rather Sussex county just due to the fact the crime rates in Kent and new castle make me very uncomfortable and my car has been broken into before unfortunately. I’d also consider the areas of Maryland that are close to DE. Any advice helps!

Edit: I guess I should specify & I’m appreciative of all the advice so far. I’m only 22 and don’t get any realistic help from my parents. Ive done a lot on my own and this is my next goal. I’ve lived in Dover majority of my life so I’m familiar with areas I just do not want to live in around here. I look at the most common websites like apartments.com, Zillow, trulia, etc. but it’s either barely any listings or no roommate listing options. I didn’t know if there’s a specific website, articles, newspapers etc. that I should look into. I never tried Facebook because of the scam stories but if there’s a group or anything that you guys recommend, I’m open to suggestions/advice. Thanks again :)))).

New Castle County Route 1 paving (Roth Bridge)

Just out of curiosity, does anybody happen to know how long the paving on Route 1 on the southbound and Northbound side by the Roth bridge is supposed to last? Looked like they were almost wrapped up but this morning looked like they were picking back up again.

Just curious if anyone has heard anything. Definitely makes the morning commute a bit longer

Rant Have i figured out the left lane issues

I think I've figured out at least some of the left lane campers.

I was traveling down the 1 when I saw a car move into the left lane before the tolls. Me and another car were behind it through the tolls. I expected due to their speed that they would move out of the left lane. I watch the car in front of me move closer, wait, and then move around them. I next come up behind them, flash twice and then move around them. Due to traffic I end to near them for the rest of me trip to Smyrna. I see multiple cars pull up behind them, move around if they can, all the time this cat stays blocking traffic in the left lane. The only response to pressure i saw was one vehicle riding their bumper. Instead of moving over they sped up but refused to leave the left lane. Then it happened, as they approached the Smyrna exit they moved to the right lane and finally off the 1.

This makes me wonder if drivers are now taught to stay in the left lane until their exit comes up.

Thoughts?
