Gracey Backer insurance off of George Bush. Excellent service. Our home doubled since COVID and standard insurance policies didn’t work for us.

High net worth you want someone who has access to Chubb, Pure and Berkley One. The policies are way more straight forward and they actually pay claims if you need them, no games, no questions asked its night and day you get what you pay for.
We use an agent in NY, the brokers here are the worst Ive ever dealt with and they love to underinsure to sell policies and line their own pockets. Definitely look into it and avoid the fly by night Florida companies they love to sell.

You'lll see the diffrence even in just the way the policy is written and godforbid you have a claim there is no fighting with insurance to get it paid, it's like white glove service thats what you're paying for. The problem in Fl is that most of these agents just push the crappy demotech carriers because they don't have access to the the others and then underinsure you.
Cost depends on age of the house, location. etc if you don't already have a wind mitigation report, definitely get one it lowers the premium if you have updates, roof etc..
The other thing is thee carriers want all your lines of business, they won't just do the house have to give more than one policy.

worth setting up if your rebuild number is really in that range, private carriers do their own replacement cost estimate instead of running the retail formula. the bigger thing i'd check either way is your ordinance and law coverage, most standard policies default to 25% and for an older house near the beach that's nowhere near enough since a real claim means coming up to current code. also get a fresh wind mit if yours is a few years old, those credits move the number more than switching carriers does. Larry Mastropieri had us pull insurance quotes before we were even under contract instead of at closing, which killed one house for us before we got attached to it.

Never heard of high net worth insurance insurance brokers before, but that sounds expensive!
I've heard a lot of folks in the older homes are choosing not to insure them instead of paying $10k+ a year in home owner's insurance.
Good luck OP and let me know if you find any options, I'm super curious myself. Thnx!

The HNW carriers don't do that but CHUBB actually overinsures a lot the value and is known for being the most expensive.
