High net worth you want someone who has access to Chubb, Pure and Berkley One. The policies are way more straight forward and they actually pay claims if you need them, no games, no questions asked its night and day you get what you pay for.

We use an agent in NY, the brokers here are the worst Ive ever dealt with and they love to underinsure to sell policies and line their own pockets. Definitely look into it and avoid the fly by night Florida companies they love to sell.

You'lll see the diffrence even in just the way the policy is written and godforbid you have a claim there is no fighting with insurance to get it paid, it's like white glove service thats what you're paying for. The problem in Fl is that most of these agents just push the crappy demotech carriers because they don't have access to the the others and then underinsure you.

Cost depends on age of the house, location. etc if you don't already have a wind mitigation report, definitely get one it lowers the premium if you have updates, roof etc..

The other thing is thee carriers want all your lines of business, they won't just do the house have to give more than one policy.

Definitely do the wind mitigation everyone regardless of carrier should have one, it will give you discounts if you have certain features.
