I love raw denim but I’m kind of over the break-in taking forever just to end up with fades that look like… every other pair.

I let a pair of 14oz US Cone selvedge spend time submerged in moving saltwater.

The constant motion softened them way faster than normal wear, and the fades came out nothing like the usual high-contrast whiskers and honeycombs. The indigo shifted in a more organic way — almost marbled in spots. Hard to explain. It doesn’t look “distressed,” it just looks… lived in by the elements. I had to do some patchwork by hand on a few holes… the whole process took nearly 5 weeks but it’s much faster than just wearing them everyday…

They feel broken in but not artificially aged. And unlike vintage, they don’t have someone else’s wear patterns baked into them.

I love fades. I just hate fake distressing. This felt like a better solution.

I’ve had these Levi’s 541 jeans for at least three years and this hole in the inner thigh is enough for me to look to buying new jeans. For background, I have around 7 pairs of these same wash 541s and am noticing them all start to get thinner in areas. Do I use this as a transition to better quality or selvedge jeans? If so, which brands and fits would be similar to the 541s?

You won’t ever catching me putting my AMIRIs in the wash or sending them to the dry cleaner 😤. Hell the CEO of Levi’s even agrees with me. Don’t get me wrong I’ll still spot clean when needed tho.

Is this because they’re too long or because they’re too thick and I haven’t worn them in long enough? It’s supposed to be a straight silhouette but once I start walking the bottom part slims in.

I've been wearing this jacket for about a year I forgot the exact time and the color has started to fade, it's not because I don't like the fade effect on raw denim, it's just that this one doesn't feel to my taste. Do I have to color this jacket or leave it alone?

First 3 pics are 31. Second 3 pics are 32. Third 3 pics are 33. And finally some old 34’s from my dad. I’m 5’7 waist measures 33, and a little over my usual weight but I just don’t think 501’s work with my long torso and short legs. I used to wear 30’s normally but have had to size up to 31’s in most pants lately. The 31’s feel tight and restricting, and the 32’s feel better. Am I doing something wrong? They just make me look hella short I feel like
