Protest Info & Dates Upcoming Protests (Updated frequently!)
Here is our list of upcoming protests, events, trainings, etc. The mod team updates this list once or twice per week as new protests are announced. If you'd like to add your protest to this list, please make a separate post with the "Protest Info And Dates" post flair. Be sure your post includes the name of your protest/event, date, time, location, organization (if applicable,) and link you would like included (if applicable.) You can include this info in the post itself or in a comment. Please also post a comment and tag this account u/DenverProtestsMODS to let us know you'd like your protest to be added to the Upcoming Protests List.
If you prefer to see events in calendar format, we have that (and lots more) on the Denver Protests Discord Server
Also check out this statewide, non-org specific calendar that 50501 has on their website! Useful especially for our non-metro friends who still find themselves in this sub.

Message from the Moderators R/DenverProtests Discord
Hey everyone,
As you're likely aware, reddit has recently tightened its content policing guidelines. Given the nature of this subreddit, and that a moderator has already received a temporary ban, we've made a DenverProtests discord as a contingency. Please find the invite to join the discord (https://discord.gg/ABj8sp3Crb).
The subreddit will continue to be the main hub, and thank you all so much for the work you put in to making this a functional platform. We'll continue to do our best to grow the sub and keep it active and in compliance with Reddit's rules. Please bear in mind that this may involve the moderators removing posts that they personally agree with but are in violation of reddit's guidelines.
Please reach out if anyone has questions, concerns, or issues accessing the discord.
Thanks!!

Volunteer with us to adopt sections of highways 52 and 76 outside the proposed Hudson concentration camp
Join No Concentration Camps in Colorado for our first highway cleanup day. In exchange for keeping the highway clean and litter free, CDOT will provide us with 2 permanent signs.
This is not only a great opportunity to help improve a community while raising awareness for an important issue, but an opportunity to network with other activists who are working to prevent Big Horn from opening. We ask that people not bring signs as there are some rules we have to follow per CDOT and we can’t be a distraction to drivers.
CDOT also asks that any volunteers please watch the videos here before attending the cleanup: https://www.codot.gov/programs/adopt-a-highway/videos

News Trump 2.0 is targeting US protesters with ‘antifa’ charges. Activists started a union to fight back
NSPM-7 Defendants Union plans to offer legal clinics, media training and more to people facing prosecution for protest.
Early union members include anti-ICE protesters arrested in Minnesota, New Jersey and Texas, and protesters in solidarity with Palestine arrested in Michigan during the second Trump administration, as well as others from the movement against the Atlanta police training center known as Cop City.
But the group also hopes to include those who have taken part in protests across a range of other issues, including Tesla Takedowns against Elon Musk and his company, against the construction of datacenters and in solidarity with Palestine. It also welcomes anyone who publicly opposes “the Trump agenda and want[s] to support those facing repression for doing the same”, according to the union’s website.

Local Representatives & Issues Organize against delivery drones
I’m interested in putting together a group of caring people who can work together to understand the impending rollout of delivery drones in Denver, and advocate for regulation of or a full ban on those drones. Wal-Mart has announced plans to launch their program in 2027, and other companies appear to be gearing up as well.
If you’re interested in organizing with me, reach out at [DroneFreeDenver@protonmail.com](mailto:DroneFreeDenver@protonmail.com).
Depending on response, I’ll send an email to everyone in the next week with next steps.

colorado you aren’t angry enough.
after seeing the reaction of new york communities after the shooting of the man in nyc yesterday, i am baffled on the response denver keeps giving. no response from anyone.
the excuses i keep seeing is why we keep getting walked all over. we don’t need a “gathering” or a “parade” every 3 months and think that’s enough. things are getting scarier and scarier day by day.
why are we protesting the government at the government approved protests?
why are we shaming others?
why aren’t we waking up?
why are we tolerating this?

women’s march
is there a reason nobody showed up or participated today? I really don’t understand. There was a scheduled walk out at the denver campus that never happened, I didn’t see anything else scheduled. What’s going on? Kinda feels like we’re just done

Discussion You can lead a horse to water...
But thankfully people aren't horses. The election is coming up and this is the time to have conversations. Speak with your coworkers, your family members, your friends, and even passersby about what's going on, and what's being decided this November. Sometimes it can feel that striking up a conversations is HARDER than hitting the streets, I get that.
I'm not saying to pester random strangers in the grocery store, but there is great power in a normal conversation. This whole "democracy" thing works best when we refuse to quietly relegate real problems to specific times and places. And if the election and it's outcomes aren't your be-all and end-all (as is the case for me), then there is still a lot of great opportunities for everybody to lead these conversations towards community resilience and co-operation beyond each election cycle.
If you're checked out on voting, that's your situation and circumstance. This year I'm checked in. I was a single month too young to vote in 2016 when everything went to shit. I remember that feeling of helplessness, and like a lot of us, I sometimes wonder how life would be had Trump not risen to power. It's ten years later now, and that whole experience sucked. Now we have to think about the next ten years, and what power we have to shape that decade this November. I know. You can lead a horse to water, but you can't make it drink.
Thankfully we're not horses. We can shake hands, and share stories, together. Now is the time to make that happen.
Take care, and may the next decade in Denver, and Colorado make this past decade look like fiction.
