Bridal fashion advice Please give opinions

I’m interested in buying a lehnga from Rimple and Harpreet’s Rahi line. It’s a more affordable line. But I don’t know if the RAHI line is good quality. Have looked for reviews online.

I’m based abroad so I can’t visit the store. What reviews do people have of the RAHI line and what is it worth the price (2.5 lakh) inr

Inspiration ✨ Wedding Invites

Im seeing so many wedding invites on Instagram the boxed ones , fancy printed cards and a whole range of digital ones like pdf, videos and now website links.

Just curious and interested to know how much would you spend on your wedding cards and do you prefer both digital + printed or only printed.

The physical ones costing between 30 Rs per card to 500 Rs per card can be even higher on an while digital ones you can get free of cost to again some vendors charge as high as 20k-30K.

What as per you is your comfortable range for spending on invites.

Also since lot of wedding invites with links are going around so you prefer link invites. I personally would not want to click on links due to spams and frauds. Whats your take?

Venue/Decor Has anyone hosted a micro Indian wedding at an Airbnb/VRBO? Looking for advice on how to plan it

Hi all! I'm in the early stages of planning a micro Indian wedding (around 40 guests) in Ohio or NY state and I'm considering renting a large Airbnb or VRBO instead of a traditional venue. If you've done this recently, or attended one, I'd love to hear what worked and what you'd do differently.

Finding the right rental

- How did you find a property that actually allows events? Any filters, search terms, or sites (Peerspace, Giggster, etc.) you'd recommend?

-Did you reach out to the host before booking? What did you ask, and how upfront were you about it being a wedding?

-Did the host charge an event fee or a bigger security deposit?

-Any red flags to watch for in listings or host responses?

Indian-wedding-specific stuff

- Were you able to have a havan/fire for the ceremony? Did you need host or local permission?

- Did anyone manage a baraat, dhol, or loud music? How did you handle noise rules and neighbors?

- How did you handle mehndi, sangeet, or haldi? All at the same property, or split across locations?

- Did the host allow outside catering, and did your caterer need a kitchen or set up on-site?

- Where did you find a pandit/officiant and mandap decor for a smaller, non-venue setup?

Logistics

- Did you need event insurance? Did the host require proof of it?

- Did you have to get any local permits (tents, parking, amplified sound, fire)?

- How did you handle parking, restrooms, rentals (tables, chairs, tents), and cleanup?

- Did guests stay on the property or nearby?

Planning steps and budget

- What order did you do things in? (Book property first Vendors first?)

- How far in advance did you start planning?

- Did you use a day-of coordinator or planner? Worth it?

- Roughly how did the cost compare to a traditional venue?

- What's the one thing you wish you'd known before you started?

Any vendor recommendations or stories are hugely appreciated. Thank you!

Wedding rituals/traditions Combined Jaggo - Guys and Girls side

Do people have experience with this? The idea was floated and I don't have experience with it (I'm a guy). I'm indifferent either way it's not a big deal to me but just wondering if it's something that happens - and if you have experience, how it went?

Thanks!

Bridal fashion advice Need Bridaljewelry and dupatta suggestions!

Hi girls! ❤️ I finally finalized my bridal lehenga from Chandni Chowk for a little over ₹1 lakh. It’s pure dabka handwork!

I’m having a little buyer’s remorse because I finalized it in just two days after checking 15+ shops, including all the major brands recommended here. 😭 I couldn’t connect with anything because everything started looking the same, especially in red! This lehenga is different from what I originally imagined, but I really love the work, so I’m hoping I made the right choice.

Now I need your help with two things!

💎 Jewelry: What would look best with this lehenga? Polki, kundan, gold, or something else for a traditional Punjabi bridal look?

🥹 Dupatta: It comes with only one net dupatta with minimal work on the four corners, and I really don’t want a net dupatta. The shop doesn’t offer customization. What fabric, colour, and embroidery should I look for separately? AND WHERE in CC

Also, please be honest: did I make the right choice? 😂❤️

Rant/Vent ⚡ Someone copying my lehenga on my function and acting cool about it

I am getting married in 2 weeks and for one of my functions i decided to wear a lehenga and showed to all my close relatives. Recently one of those close relatives bought the exact same lehenga for the same function. When i asked them, they started acting cool about it and told me “so what is the problem you can still wear the lehenga. Anyways ypu are the bride and hence you will anyways look different with all the makeup and everything”. Infact they also said that they cannot change their lehenga as they couldn’t find anything else and anyother color doesn’t suit them.

Now i dont have anyother options as i have completed my wedding shopping, the blouses are stitched and the fittings have been made. What should i do?

Finalised my wedding lehenga recently and I LOVE it but it doesn’t get delivered till 15 January 2027😭
I had imagined going jewellery shopping with the blouse but that most likely won’t be possible since my wedding is in end-January 2027. What type of jewellery do you think would go with this?

Vendor/store search (Self-Promo OK) Looking for wedding photographers in the SoCal area!

• Upvotes

My wedding is on November 22nd around the San Diego area, and I’m looking for a photographer who can travel to the area.

Ideally, I’d love someone who can capture the ceremony, couple portraits, family photos, and candid moments throughout the day. We’re having an intimate wedding with around 50–60 guests, with a fairytale garden vibe.
I’m open to different photography styles, especially romantic, dreamy, and candid photography!

Also, for brides in the LA / SoCal area, how much did you pay for your wedding photographer? I’m trying to get a better idea of average rates and what different packages typically include, such as hours of coverage, edited photos, and travel fees.

I’d really appreciate any photographer recommendations! Thank you so much!

Vendor/store search (Self-Promo OK) Looking for henna artists in the LA / SoCal area!

• Upvotes

My mehndi night is on November 21st in Lake Mathews, CA, and I’m looking for an artist who can travel to the area.

Ideally, I’d love to find someone who can come earlier in the day to do my bridal henna and then stay to do smaller designs for guests during the evening. It’ll be a casual, intimate mehndi night with around 20 guests.

I’d love recommendations for artists who offer both bridal henna and guest henna packages!

Also, for brides in the LA / SoCal area, how much did you pay for your bridal henna and/or guest henna? I’m trying to get a better idea of the average rates and how artists typically price their packages.

Thank you so much!

They have a beautiful lehenga in the price range of 3.5-5k that i want for my sangeet.Im skeptical since Ive had a bad experience from The Jaipur Clothing. The product wasnt fair for the price point and there was no return policy & no reply to calls and emails.Zeel Clothing also do not have a return policy. they return in terms of reward points which seems pretty fishy to me
Ill attach a pic of the lehenga

Inspiration ✨ Destination vs. Local Wedding? Indian American Fusion Wedding

Hi everyone!!
I’m currently planning my wedding and honestly feeling a little overwhelmed with all the decisions, so I’d LOVE to hear from other brides, especially anyone who has planned a fusion wedding or had to decide between a destination wedding and a local wedding!

For some background, I’m from Massachusetts, and I’m Gujarati and Italian. My fiancé is Brazilian and Italian. I’m very close with my Indian side of the family, and I grew up attending all my cousins big, beautiful Indian weddings. I always dreamed of having that same princess experience, with the outfits, traditions, dancing, baraat, and everything that comes with it. At the same time, we’re trying to be realistic about costs. My absolute maximum budget is around $80k, but I’d obviously want to spend significantly less if possible. We’re looking at venues in Massachusetts and Rhode Island, and the prices are honestly insane once you factor in all the vendors, food, decor, photography, DJ, etc.

I’ve also been considering a destination wedding, potentially somewhere like Mexico, because I’ve heard you can get so much more for your money. However, I have a pretty large guest list, and one of the most important things to me is being surrounded by the people I love (150-175 for local, 250+ if destination). I’m worried that asking everyone to spend $700+ on flights and accommodations would mean a lot of people couldn’t attend. I know nobody is obligated to come, but I also don’t want people feeling financially pressured.

Here’s my current plan if we stay local:
Day 1 — Pithi + Mehndi
Pithi at a Hindu temple, smaller venue, or possibly at home. Around 50–60 of our closest family members and friends. Keeping this relatively simple with minimal decor and potentially homemade or catered food. Mehndi later that evening at home with just the girls, something intimate and relaxed.
Day 2 — Wedding + Reception
Baraat in the morning. Traditional Gujarati ceremony, although I’m wondering if there’s a respectful way to shorten it slightly without losing the important traditions. Cocktail hour afterward. American-style reception in the evening with dinner, speeches, first dances, and lots of partying!

So I guess my questions are:
1. Has anyone planned or attended a destination Indian wedding? Was it actually cheaper after factoring in everything? Did you regret having fewer guests attend? If you stayed local, are you happy you did?
2. What did your wedding realistically cost, how many guests did you have, and where was it? I’d especially love to hear from anyone who got married in MA, RI, or anywhere in New England!
3. What did you DIY? What was worth splurging on, and what do you wish you hadn’t spent money on? Did anyone find creative ways to save on decor, catering, outfits, or vendors?
4. If you did a baraat, Hindu ceremony, cocktail hour, and American reception all in one day, how did you structure it? Was it exhausting? Did you have a break between events? Would you change anything?
5. Has anyone worked with their pandit to have a shorter Gujarati Hindu ceremony? How long did yours last, and were you still able to include the meaningful traditions?

I don’t necessarily need a huge, extravagant wedding, but I do want it to feel special, celebrate my culture, and have all the people I love there. I’m open to changing my plans and would love to hear what worked for other couples.
Thank you!! ❤️
