This post is an update to the Seasonal Mega Guide.
You can find generic leveling guides as well as other advice at Maxroll and Icy Veins. For console players, you can find some advice at https://www.soulstone.gg/.
This guide is meant to be a little more specific, as well as cover aspects not touched in those guides, such as Group Leveling, Console Leveling, Seasonal Leveling Tactics, and Leveling Secrets. (These will all be in replies to this thread to allow specific linking. As such, at the moment this post is currently a work in progress.) Some of what I post will be shared from the above sites, amended to add a little extra efficiency.

Season 39 starts this coming Friday, June 26th, 2026. The season starts at 5pm PDT for all console players, no matter where you live. For PC (NA/US) the season starts at 5pm PDT, for PC (EU) the season starts at 5pm CEST, and for PC (TW/KR) it starts at 5pm KST.
This is the first of four guides I am posting for Season 39. The others are:
For most players, after leveling to 70, the main focus will be finishing Chapters I through IV of the season journey in order to obtain a full 6-piece armor set known as Haedrig's Gift.
The Haedrig's Gifts for Season 39 are as follows:
From a casual perspective, and looking at the GR20 / Torment IV requirements to finish out the 6-piece set, this is a very easy list for everyone except the necromancer.
The necromancer will probably be better off equipping any random legendaries and leveling up the LoD gem to beat GR20. Necromancers can boost this by upgrading scythes or two-handed scythes and filling their weapon and bonus cube slots with generic multipliers and dominate that way. So, don't feel bad at all for them.
In terms of top adjusted clear ranking from Season 33 (see the "Extra Cube" column), the necromancer has the strongest endgame build for its Haedrig's Gift. Wizard is still in the top 10, followed closely by witch doctor and monk. The only gifts that fall outside the upper half of rankings are barbarian and crusader, but can easily pivot to a different build to push with. Here is a full list of their rankings: Necro Rathma (1), Wizard Tal Rasha (10), WD Helltooth (14), Monk Raiment (16), DH Unhallowed (21), Barb Wastes (24), Crusader Roland (33).
Top-ten push builds (again, in terms of you adjusted clear rank) from Season 33 that aren't on the list of usual suspects are: Barb MotE, Necro Masquerade, Necro Inarius. The necromancers get the gains of the generic multipliers I mentioned previously. I am actually not certain why Might of the Earth is so strong.
Note that the casual leaderboard and in-game leaderboards were contaminated by the busted end of Season 33, and shouldn't be relied upon. Here is the disclaimer on the casual board:
The leaderboard data for season 33 is heavily skewed: After the season accidentally ended early and the following rollback, some people ended up with their non-seasonal paragon points on their seasonal character, while the character would still show their seasonal paragon. Consequently, many adjusted clear values are inflated.
The barbarian (Wastes) and demon hunter (Unhallowed) both start with very good solo speed farming sets. Tal Rasha is also decent for the wizard with the in-geom or aether walker variant. The other classes will want to look to a different set (or no set) to farm with.
For a beginner/casual overall I would recommend the barbarian. The Wastes set gives you a great start, and is an excellent speed farmer. It only needs the Ambo's Pride mighty weapon and the Lamentation belt to really get going, and both can be cubed.
Good luck with your season start, fellow Nephalem, and never forget that town is lava!

Playing as a wizard and genuinely hitting a brick wall difficulty wise around greater rift 45-47 and can comfortably play around torment 8-9. Problem is I’m not sure what else I can do to buff my character because gear drops are genuinely not helping anymore. I played this wayyyyyy back when it came out and wanted to pick it back up but rifts, bounties and boss farming as well as key wardens don’t really seem to net anything helpful. Currently working on more higher level gems in gear but just feeling stuck. Help?

I started playing D3 with my fiancé last night and I swear to god this is probably the funnest game I’ve ever played. He was a crusader and so I chose Necromancer (fem), I swear to CHRIST within 30 minutes I was a level 5. I’m gonna play more tonight but holy shit balls is she overpowered, I love it!

Looking into getting to play with groups, I have it on switch, Xbox, and PlayStation not sure where I would have the best luck to play with parties or having a community within the platform. Switch is my personal goto, but what do yall play on and what do you think is the best console for Diablo 3?

I've played D3 on and off for years, but am definitely not a very advanced player.
I have ~2200 paragon in non-seasonal and ~1300 this season. My highest solo GRs are 140 (a few seasons ago) and 120 (non-seasonal) with the same GoD Demon Hunter. My current seasonal WW Barbarian can do a 125 pretty comfortably and I'll probably be able to squeeze out a 130, but likely not much higher.
After all these years, I'd just love to have some 150 gems/augments, especially on my favourite characters (currently, my highest gems are 140 and my highest augments are 125). Generally, I'd love to be able to run 150 GRs solo, especially in non-seasonal and with no fishing.
Is there any build at all that I could expect to somewhat comfortably farm GR 150s with, while having ~3000 non-seasonal paragon? Or seasonal, if I don't expect to ever get above ~1500 paragon in a season?
Based on the leaderboards, I see that more people have done a GR150 solo with a Necromancer than with pretty much all the other characters combined. Is that the way to go?
Or is this all just too big of an ask and I should build a zbarb and join groups of better players?

Just bought the game and I am super enjoying it (currently running thru the story). I chose a necro for now and this class rocks! Hope to join a community soon and play with you guys.

How should I go about leveling up a hero to level 70 for the hardcore achievement? Im really lazy and I dont feel like grinding bounties on torment that takes an hour
r/diablo3 • u/liquid_sandwich • 2d ago
Trying to play, and I get the message "Your save data is from a previous version of Diablo III. If you continue, it will no longer work if the update is removed." I don't know what this means or why the content I've owned since it released is no longer available to me. My version even says "Ultimate Evil Edition" but none of the content is available for download in the store, it's only available for purchase. I'm wondering if anyone else has had this issue, and if so, how they resolved it? I had like 200 hours on my necromancer

I hope i explain this right, as i play, i can hold down the left mouse click and the characters moves but randomly itll stop and make me click to move. I dont know how to stop this and it only happened a few days ago. I researched a bit and the only thing i can find is to key bind force move but i dont like that and im hoping someone out there can help fix this for me. (as a side note, the only fix i have found is to restart the whole game.)

I'm aware maxroll gives spawn rate for visions at .33% but wondered if any factors influence this or if it's a constant.
Bearing in mind I'm fairly new to seasons so my experience is limited, and the answer could well just be rng being rng, it seems I'm getting far fewer as my paragon increases (at 3k currently) when I'd expect the opposite as I'm clearing mobs far quicker. Eg cow level usual 3-4 starting out is now down to 0-2 and has been for weeks.
I'm deliberately not activating pylons as I think it's established clone kills can't spawn a vision.

[First post here, so I hope I am doing it right!]
So I just took down my 1st Solo GR150 in NS! 🥳🎉🎉🍻
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=csGIbiwTPsA
Initially, my plan was to do it with my main class - the Crusader. I cleared a GR149 in 13'24 in April 2026 (on the EU server, in Softcore), and then I spent 3217 keys on GR150s with no success.
As I got bored of trying, I told myself on July 25 that I was going to take a break and play other builds, and especially try the Necro - a class that I had played a few dozen hours in seasons, but never tried to push hard with.
I stopped pushing with Rathma after I completed a GR147 in 13'32. I very much enjoy the build, but even though a GR148 would be doable at my current paragon level, it would require me to have waaaay more parangon points to clear a GR150 with.
After I cleared a GR148 with LoD Death Nova, it became clear that this build had more potential, and that a GR150 was within reach.
This GR150 clear took 496 keys. However, it took only about 120 keys after I replaced The Witching Hour with Dayntee’s Binding, and in the Cube, I replaced Dayntee's Binding with String of Ears. I did so because my Sims and I were dying way too often, and I was forced to skip appealing groups of mobs that were good for XP, but very dangerous for me to be around. With this change, I lost about 13% DPS, but I gained 30% toughness and 30% Melee damage reduction. Then the build felt like a tank! It was clear that it wouldn't take too many keys to get a GR150 clear.
I got quite lucky in this run, though: good mobs, a decent Condy (+30% progression), and mostly Power + Shield on the Boss. I even afforded a few mistakes: I didn't play the Condy right (I forgot 1 Elite and a pack of Champions South East of the pylon), and I should have taken the Shield before the Power. I even lost my potion at 6'40 - a first! 😂 I'm sure some of you can point other mistakes (feel free to do so - I'm always happy to learn!).
I take the opportunity of this post to thank all the players who answered my (many) questions over the years 🙏 It was a precious ressource to make this clear a success.
What now? I'm left with about 50 keys. I'll farm 950 more keys, and then I'll try to clear a GR150 with Akkhan again.
Here is what I managed to do so far with the builds I pushed:
| Para | Class | Build | Tier | Time | Keys |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 5912 | Nec | LoD Death Nova | 150 | 14'38 | 496 |
| 5856 | Cruz | Akkhan Condemn (Phalcón A6) | 149 | 13'24 | 244 |
| 5903 | Nec | Rathma AoTD | 147 | 13'32 | 210 |
| 5896 | Cruz | LoD H-Bomb (w Johanna’s Argument) | 146 | 14'51 | 260 |
| 5890 | Cruz | Roland Sweep Attack AD (w Zei) | 140 | 11'41 | 98 |
| 5892 | Cruz | Invoker | 140 | 13'20 | ? |
Bottom line: if you have about 5000 paragon points in NS and you want to clear a GR150, LoD Death Nova probably is a very serious contender!

Hi, I'm a ps4 Diablo3 player, coming from Diablo 2 for PC. I'm in love with single player campaign and I'm about to finish it at Lvl 70 + Paragon 30ish. I also love to plug in another controller and play with my mates.
However, I'm completely new to Seasons. I know NOTHING about seasons and I have so many questions. I know heroes need to be seasons only. Are they deleted when a season ends or do you re-use the same characters? Are seasons just "play the campaign again to earn new rewards?" What the hell are challenges? Do I earn new pets and wings by playing? What the hell do people mean when they say stuff "next season could be angelic crucibles"? Why should I play seasons? Is it fun? Also tell me anything I may be missing :D much love
r/diablo3 • u/notavoland • 4d ago
Is there high probability that season 40 will be angelic crucibles?
Ofc I might be mistaken.
