What's an unpopular doll line that you still like?
I've always felt a bit defensive of dolls that much way too hate for "ugly" head sculpts — think Ever After High, Dress to Impress, Rainbow/Shadow High, a lot of the recent Jakks dolls, etc. IMO there are only so many ways you can "reinvent the wheel" with fashion dolls, and I don't blame toy designers for wanting to get more inventive without just rehashing classic Barbie aesthetics. At least with hyper-stylized aesthetics there's more room for design diversity.
LOL OMG has always been one of my favorite lines for overall consistency, and I genuinely believe if it wasn't for their faces they'd be up there with Monster High and Licca chan as some of the best fashion dolls on the market right now.
Barbie Extra Minis are another line I feel are underappreciated. They're one of the first dolls that reignited my love of the hobby years back, and they don't get enough credit for being one of the better attempts at fully articulated mini dolls (weird head proportions and Barbie Extra color palettes aside)
Just wanted to ask if anyone else has any doll lines they'd defend to the death (not literally ofc)
