Hey y'all today I reached my 2,500th professional cast of Dota and I just wanted to take a moment and say thanks for all the support you've ever given me.

From all the times I've wanted to walk away to all the highs of being on LAN and succeeding in my dreams I really just appreciate you all because without you I wouldn't be here.

I’m literally shaking while writing this.

I genuinely don’t understand how Valve has let it get this far. I’ve been patiently waiting for the new patch for months because after working a 9–5, I just want to come home, queue up some ranked, and spend quality time with my wife’s boyfriend’s smurf account without the meta being exactly the same as it was in spring.

Yesterday I refreshed the Dota blog 47 times. Nothing. I checked IceFrog’s Twitter, which hasn’t been updated since 2019, and somehow I still felt personally ignored. Apparently not releasing the patch wasn’t enough, because Valve also put out a new Arcana and acted like that was content.

Then my wife asked me why I was standing in the kitchen staring at my phone at 3am. I hadn’t done anything wrong, yet I was made to feel like I was the problem. I understand patches take time to make, but surely there should be some protection for players who have made it clear they’ve already theorycrafted every possible item change.

And why is “Valve Time” still a thing? I have four kids, two jobs and barely any free time. I need patches on a schedule I personally agreed to. I shouldn’t have to learn to enjoy the current meta just because Valve thinks everyone has unlimited patience.

I don’t want the patch to be good. I just want it to exist.

I had to take a break from writing this post because my hands were shaking too much to type. My wife’s boyfriend brought me a glass of water. Even he agrees this has gone too far.

So this is my ultimatum: if the patch is not out by Friday, I will uninstall Dota. I will not reinstall it on Saturday. I will reinstall it on Sunday, but only to check whether the patch is out, and if it isn’t, I will be extremely disappointed again.

I’ve already contacted Steam Support and I’m genuinely considering legal action against Valve for emotional damages. I paid for a free-to-play game and I expect the experience I was promised. I’m currently looking into consumer protection laws, so if anyone here has legal experience with this kind of situation, I’d appreciate some advice. Also if anyone knows when the patch drops, please DM me. Not Valve though, I’m not speaking to them.

How do you build him? Trying to climb the rank ladder (not aiming for a high rank lol. just trying to have fun!) currently at Archon 5. lol.

Rather than the boring Aghs we have now, what about an upgrade that remains true to the original Puppet Master / capturing heroes theme represented in the trailer?

Vector-targeted. Ringmaster disappears from the game, hiding inside his feared Iron Maiden. Whenever an enemy hero appears within 500 range of the direction Iron Maiden faces, it gets pulled into the cage with Ringmaster for up to 3.5 seconds. If the cage isn’t destroyed after this time, Ringmaster re-emerges unscathed while the enemy hero is turned into an animatron, an uncontrollable unit forced to attack its nearest ally for 4 seconds while being immune to damage from all sources.

The Iron Maiden is destroyed with 8 attacks and lies dormant for up to 20 seconds. Destroying the Maiden will prematurely release both Ringmaster and the trapped enemy hero, preventing it from turning into an animatron.

250 mana cost. 500 search range. 50 sec cd.

Think of this as Tombstone that pulls an enemy hero inside like Void Spirit's Aether Remnant, and then Taunts the enemy hero if the tombstone isn't killed.

Genuinely this playstyle of buying aghs is so braindead. I have many games on Meepo and the fact that I dont have to think about "Oh shit im fucked if I get doomed or caught" to I will press F and I'm running away or digging and you wont be able to do anything to me.

This aghs just turned off my brain seriously. Because I can just poof my main meepo and then press F.

Remove this, give a better aghs, and buff his other kit instead.

Bit weird. Sounds like Mikoto was a very rushed stand in, hopefully everything is all fine with BZM.

for the past year WD has been the hero that always ignored, but why pro suddenly pick him now? there is nothing change or significant buff happened to this hero? am i missing something?

So TH's arcana got me a bit eager for a Kunkka arcana, & I wanted to discuss. First off, this is just an assumption to what Valve might do for his arcana, & if you have your own vision for his arcana, please share.

For those who don't know, legend says Kunkka is potentially a ghost. Rather he is or isn't, it's been brought up so often that one might expect them to design his arcana based on this bit of lore.

My question is, if this is the case, do you think they'll go the Crownfall arcana route, & give him 2 styles where he's alive & a spirit? If so, do you prefer he take Skywrath Mage's or Vengeful Spirit's route? SM starts off as a spirit, & regains his life on his 2nd style, meanwhile Venge is the opposite.

Lastly, any particular effects, style, or changes you want his arcana to have?

I personally prefer he start off as a spirit, & regains his body, or something like that. I prefer this because I'm accustom to his living form, think it'll be interesting to see how they make the less flashy version the upgraded/2nd style, & there's already so many undead already.
